Being in Arizona, I love using native Ironwood and Cholla, but I just love driftwood in general, it is all amazing to work, design, and decorate with.

The more it dangles down like a curtain off of the wood, the more I love it!

Why do you want to get rid of tannins. They're beautiful and beneficial to fish and other animals.

You’re definitely not wrong! They are beneficial and we do have some Catappa leaves bringing a nice color to a riverbed set up also in our studio. But some people don’t care for that look and want a more clear-water pristine aquarium. So just providing a path to get there if that’s what someone would prefer.

@@BRSfresh It's a shame ppl don't make the top priority the benefit of the fish.

There’s no doubt that can be the case on a number of levels. Wrong tank size or tank mates. Over-feeding and over-crowding. Not doing water changes and properly medicating/quarantining. Not paying attention to pH and water parameters as well as temperature. However a tank without tannins can still be a very healthy environment for our inhabitants. But maybe we disagree? Either way, thanks for your perspective!
