Few motorcycles captivate the attention of riders as the BMW large GS bikes do. With the 1300GS, BMW created a more complete motorcycle, aiming to keep up with the increasing competition, where horse power has gone up to the superbike level. Does BMW accomplish it with the 1300GS, while keeping the boxer motor and its adventure capacity? In this video I attempt to answer this question.

In this video I talk about the BMW GSA. People complained how plain the 1300GS was, and now they are complaining about how ugly the GSA is. I think they are just shocked that BMW did change it. A lot. And, well, I like bold new ideas. So I offer a counter point to all the videos complaining about it. But I do think it is nothing beautiful, rightly so.

I missed riding my FTR more than any of my motorcycles, so I took it for my first ride of the year. It took my eight weeks to get on a first ride of 2024, but I'm so glad I did ride it, it was cold but it was dry and even the Sun came out for a visit. I attended my third Unrally this last June. It takes place in a magic location in Oregon. People who attend this event bring with them all sorts of lights and toys which, together with the beautiful landscape in this area, and its weather during this time of the year make it for a perfect backdrop for photography.
