I like the connection you made between the new GSA fuel tank and the past aftermarket tanks. Makes sense to me. I will be interested to see it in-person.
@@michaelmarkin1532 I’m looking forward to seeing one in person too. It’s an interesting bike, with an imposing presence. I beet it looks better in person. And thank you!
It's growing on me already, in typical BMW design fashion. As you say, it's setting a new benchmark for others to follow. Excellent commentary. Thank you 👍
Yes! A shift lever on an auto- box. A must have in my opinion. If you have been riding for a lifetime, it makes the transition from a standard clutch/shift more natural. Also, keep the clutch lever and keep it as normal. "fanning" the clutch is something that that you don't need until you do. (like four wheel drive on a sedan) Looking forward to your full review. I hope they have the suspension lowering sorted out for us normal height people.
Thank you and yes, the lowering suspension thing is something important for me. Although the 1300GS I test rode did not have it, it had a lower or medium height seat, and it worked well for me with my 30 in inseam. But on a GSA, it will probably be needed for me.
Agree with you. Trend setting. I’d only say that bold for bold, if you do away with the clutch lever, you ought to take the chance for a lefthand operated rear brake!
I have owned GSA 2017, GSA 2018 . At present, I own a K1600GT latest model and a GSA HP 2020. I can tell you something, I will never ever buy a 1300 GS/GSA. IMO the new design is absolutely ugly.
I guess im one of the few that really likes the new design too !! Especially the huge tank and the range it provides ....Bravo BMW for thinking outside the box
I like it, it's different/ bold and I agree with another person's comment here, "I love it honestly. It is so aggressive looking and assertive. Awesome".
Great view points. I thought it was ok when I first saw it, then I liked it a day later and now leaning to love the look. Yeah we're in the minority though for now
@@josephSF I have footage from Wolf Creek Rd, where I flew the drone, and then from Briggs road. I think you are talking about Wolf Creek rd. Very nice road!
You are so absolutely right! GS was never a good looking bike, it was always form follows function. We will get used to it, and in some time we will praise the revolutionary design of the 1300 GSA!
I was so looking forward to the new GSA because of the ASA, and thought I was finally going to be able to own my dream bike, a BMW GSA! But when I first saw the monstrosity, there was no way in hades, I would buy one. Now that the shock is wearing off, I’m getting used to the new look and starting to like it. Might seriously consider it now, if not, I’ll just get me a regular GS with ADA! Ride safe, subscribed!
I rather like the 1300 GSA as well. I like the big tank. It reminds me of my own 2003 GS, on those models the tank is also, let's say, present. Like you, it also reminds of the Hoske tanks. They were very expensive back then. If you had a Hoske tank on your R69S you was the guy!
I have one riding friend who owns a 1250 GSA who told me he will not buy the 2025. But this is now, tomorrow? I bet things will change. I actually like it, but I'm not interested in the GSA version of the GS, I never was interested in the GSA version. :-)
I have been thinking about trading my HD Lowrider ST for a BMW adventure and was waiting to see the new GSAdventure. I like the 2023 GSA but I think the latest release of the GSA looks amazing.
I am not sure whats wrong with me but i really like the look of this bike over the GS1300 I have never owned a BMW but rode one every day as a police bike so can attest to their strengths. This bike however has really made me think about ditching my Rocket next year and buy this bad boy
I always liked the regular GS better than the GSA. But now I'm thorn, the GSA looks great. But I still don't know why I would need an 8-gallon tank. Why is a question I will ask in my next video.
I think the current 1250GSA is a Beauty of a bike ..the 1300GSA not as much but i am sure it will grow on people.....looking at the release photos of the GSA there are some pics with a Clutch lever so i believe the ASA is an add on not standard EQ...I hope so i dont want 2 more servo motors and electronics to mess up !
a very honest statement & it is similar to my thoughts… ! I think...,; in a year people will have calmed down & think this *armor* is beautiful! When it came to the Apple Watch Ultra, all the influencers were screaming: too big, too heavy, too clunky!!! And now? Everyone is wearing it...! I think the new one is just great, unique & great... it's just charismatic & I'd like to have it 🤷♂️🙂
Sometimes the issue is to criticize for the sake of criticizing. I bet most of the negative comments are from people who never saw the motorcycle in person.
Funny how my initial reaction, to the new 1300gsa was no, no, no!! Never, never, never!! But, I must confess it is beginning to grow on me. I will never buy one because, I will ever travel so far as to need such a heavy bike. I might buy the standard, with the automated clutch. That needs to be seen, because being able to feather clutch will be lost.
Well, there is no denial, I was in shock, it was holly shit at first sight. By next morning I was already liking it for being unique, different, crazy bold.
I would have rather they shed weight down to the 550-560 range which would have been in line with what they did with the GS.Instead it's 2 lbs heavier at 593 lbs. Looks more road friendly with more front protections, but less off-road friendly.
Love the look. I know I am in the minority. It's subjective. What I don't like.......is no clutch option.....so, until they change that......the 35k+ will be spent elsewhere
Every one talks about the looks and every one forgets how expensive this bikes has become, to summarize, BMW makes them more and more ugly and expensive, the Chinese start to make them more and more pretty and cheaper, so, like in cars, we already know who will dominate the motorcycle industry down the road.
Im going to test ride one at the sturgis rally next month. sure it will go down the road beautifully. I'll stick with my guzzi 850tt at about 50% of the price of the gs1300 adventure. the extra weight and power are not needed by this sketchy broke geezer
I like the standard but this one is just awful, moved to Ducati after three GSs and not going back. The whole look and ownership experience is in a different league, if I wanted a utility vehicle I’d buy an old Land Rover.

Right on. The new GSA is a much more natural evolution than the regular GS.
Yep, what I think.
Love it more every day. Great.

Tough and beefy, love it😊

I love it. All my friends here in Thailand love it.
Great Review mate I have a GSA 2017 model will I up-date!
I totally agree with you. I love it as well. Can't wait for the arrival in the dealeships !!

You are not alone in not liking either bike (GS and GSA).
we all have such different tastes- I did not like the look of the previous models ,but think this looks amazing!
I agree
Looks powerful to me. Also at first glance.
I agree.

With time, more will come around. And we also have to see it in person.
You are so right, people will complain no matter what BMW tries to do.
Exactly
I purchased my 1300 GS at Cascade Moto as well. Please share that twisty road. I have not been on that one. Great video!

Yes, ASA will be available in the 2025 regular GS.
You are definitely making some good points. Until we see it in person I’ll hold off on an opinion
That's wise. Who knows, it may look even better (or worse) in person.
Wise presentation and analysis of the new BMW GSA 👏👏👏
Thank you!

When I did the search for photos of the Hoske tanks, I noticed they ae for sale for more than $2,000. They still carry a respectful value today!
I love it, form follows function and at last an auto. I'll be changing my 1250 GSA
Bauhaus approach, form follows function. It will be on my next video.
The cybertruck of motorcycle we will love it with time
That new GSA is going to take a LOT of getting used to for me....

Getting Paris-Dakar flashbacks 👍

This new 1300gsa will only help the value of my 1250gsa triple black remain strong. Sorry but this new one is horrendous. Old Bloke.
I hope it works for you. But I think the new one will ramp up toward the good side of people's tastes soon. Of course, I could be wrong.
Good point.

Yes, the ASA is only an option. You can get one with a regular clutch and clutch lever.
Very much growing on me

I agree. With the modular design for bags around the tank and on top of it, it seems it is maximized for travel. And for profits for BMW.
I have same felling too, it actually not bad looking.
Yes, it's actually very interesting. Off the curve, but I'm okay with that.
I like it way better than the one right before it. I don't know if it's tough or not,but it looks beefy!
Agree
i like the new GS not a fan of the headlight but the GSA is so ugly especially the side view, ill keep my 1250 GSA for now
i love especially the side view, its the front for me, a little but rounder at the big shoulders and it would be awesome bike :D
Love the look. I know I am in the minority. It's subjective.
What I don't like.......is no clutch option.....so, until they change that......the 35k+ will be spent elsewhere
You can get one with a manual transmission. The Automatic Shift Assistant, the ASA, is only an option.
I like it too
i pray to own one soon

Yes, the Chinese are coming.
That new fuel tank remind me of first GS R80... GS was allways ugly and i like it because of that
Yes!
The triple black will look good in the dark 😂
LOL
It looks like a tank.. ready to f* up anything in its path
LOL
I owned 3 GS bikes (2 were ADV). What a fugly bike! In the end I will end up on one of these. 🤣
Just to keep the tradition of owning questionable looking bikes, right? LOL It's growing more and more on me.
@idratherberiding3456 Owning questionable bikes is my specialty. 👍. For now, I have to stick to my 1250 RT. we'll see in 3-4 years were it all stands.
So ugly only the owner would love it and isn’t that the point?
Exactly. Well maybe. Does it look good in front of the Starbucks?

Nice, love Moto Guzzi motorcycles.
Hope you enjoy the 1300, not for me.
I like the standard but this one is just awful, moved to Ducati after three GSs and not going back. The whole look and ownership experience is in a different league, if I wanted a utility vehicle I’d buy an old Land Rover.
LOL. As a Ducati owner, I understand your point.
I like the 1300 GS look, but I hate the look of the GSA, it looks like the type of bike that wankers who drive Range Rovers or Audi would ride.
Yes, there's that. But it would look good in front of a Starbucks.
It’s HORRIBLE looking!!!!!
I think the 1300gs is ok but the gsa looks like crap.
New GS design is really fucked up so ugly ever before 🤮🤮🤮🤮
1300 gs and 1300 GSA . It's an absolutely terrible design. All traces of the past have been erased. There is no alternative to the 1250 anymore.
The Yamaha Niken is better looking than this GSA! 😮😂and nobody is buying that! But it will still sell.
LOL
It’s an ugly bike. No question.
Its beauty is in its ugliness.
totally
♥️🦾💯🔥👌
Ugly wont be buying anyone of them
It's hideous
No beauty in this bike. The iconic BMW headlight is gone. Thanks European Union.👎🏻👎🏻
Well.... the X is the new icon. I like it.
🤢🤢🤢
