212cc three angel valve job will it work?
Thanks for showing how its put together. Mine is on the way. Another YT, Cajun Tactical, said to remove the gas selector knob and rotating assy behind it, turn the selector to "12 oclock" position , pull it out, the assy behind falls out too. Or might need some help depending on how many gummy bears it shipped with. Cant confirm personally but I watched him do it in the vid. 11:00 thats close enough where maybe you could heat that up, maybe, put it in a toaster over at 200F, and put the barrel portion in a cool place. Then maybe it slips on with no tapping.
Mine runs perfect but the plug looks new no matter what jets i put i went from the stock jet all the way up to a 140 main and the plug still looks new its a predator 212cc im going to spray some starting fluid around the intake today to make sure its not leaking also i am at sea level and saw a RUclips guy say he put a 130 jet at sea level and his was perfect i dont want to blow my engine 😢 im still not done with your video yet but i need help 😢😢
@@rockman49er If you're not getting a lot of popping out of the exhaust cause popping out of exhaust is a clear sign of Of a lean condition, you should be okay. If you had a vacuum leak, you would have tuning problems if it's running good. You shouldn't have a vacuum leak.
Not really popping returning to idle perfect and lots of power just no difference from from the plug when i changed the jets do you know the normal running temp of the predator 212cc Maybe i can check if its getting to hot and maybe go to a 145 or 150 jet still going to check for a leak later today after work knowing the right temp could help me thanks for the help brother @dirty7739
When a battery has an extra wire its often for a thermistor to monitor battery temperature. That can be bypassed with a resistor. I wonder if that's why it won't run without the bypass.
Does this need any additional parts for the choke like a butterfly valve? I bought this one and I don't see the choke lever operating anything.
You don't need anything else. We call it a choke even though nothing is being choked. It just opens the enrichment circuit to allow extra fuel in during a cold pull start.
Those 10krpm flywheels have 18 degrees of timing no good
How many tooth is it from the gap??
Is this a mandatory step for the use of a VM22 Mikuni clone carburettor? Can you use a VM22 without removing the governor?
Do i have to open up the engine and remove the governer gear before installing the vm22? Sounds like a lot of risky work? Any easy workarounds?
Do you need to upgrade anything else on the engine before using this carb? I saw another video where they threw a rod because they didn't upgrade the billet rods to match this carb? Can someone please answer this question
@@russell2496 No you don't need to upgrade anything else
@russell2496 The idea behind putting a rod and flyweel is so the engine don't blow up without the governor.
@@dirty7739 Do i have to open up the engine and remove the governer gear before installing the vm22? Sounds like a lot of risky work? Any easy workarounds?
No, @russle2496 you don't have to remove anything to run that carb. I have it on a governed 224 with a cam and arc flywheel and it runs great
So I tried to take mine down today, polish rails, bolt, etc. I got the pins out for the gas block but DAMN that block would not come off. I wasn't going to keep hammering. God only knows if thaymt cheap chineese barrel bent from what I did do. Lol. I put the pins back in, fortunately that gas block stayed put. But they put a cleaning hole in that block on top, so you don't really need to remove it. Hope this thing shoots as well as the others.
Because of the "tank mounting brackets" are shaped like that, does it mean it's a "hemi" block? Also, I thought anything other than a Honda was considered a "clone"?
For got to take the gov gear out that’s gonna cause extra drag on the motor
I know enough about carbs but it's amazing how easy you can miss the simplest shit. Runs like a top now man. Thanks I'm up in canada pullin away hard now. Thanks eh also those other pilots that were wrong fit the pwks

The makuni one that says that and Japan I think are real
Newbie to the sport. I ended up with a hemi and non-hemi motor. Visually comparing the cams, I saw that they are different. Not sure how swapping heads and keeping the head specific push rods are the same.
THE most informative and accurate video on RUclips about these vm 22 carbs. Love my Amazon vm 22 carbs! I run a 120 jet in both of mine. Lining up shit is definitely key.
Installed on my b200r 196cc. Run and idles fine, but no matter what jet i use and lower or higher the needle. It still runs too rich. Any suggestions? I have same exact on my other b200r with a 212 and it runs great. A little on the lean side but it gos.
@@Jeff-mu8dq How is the compression on the engine? I'm only asking that because I've had 190 sixes. When they start to run bad for some reason, they run rich.
Compression is good only got 5 hours on her. After watching your video again, I realized I was running with the plunger up meaning choke is on? Causing it to dump so much fuel?
Did you have to get cut-to-size pushrods? I got the standard deck length from DED and they don’t fit on my 236 with DED billet head
2.3 ecoboost is a great engine
Is it good to use that copper spray shyt or is that b.s for the head gasket and on the billet rods what do we do just change the bearings out after a while or u gotta buy a new one oh yeah is it better to use assembly lube or the erl
Omg! Those aren’t head bolts just stationary bolts to hold you rockers. just a tiny drip of med. on the tip of all bolts, and never run into trouble. But Red can get you stuck !! Also I suggest drilling a tiny hole in the center of the cup so oil can make it through. Stamped rockers are hard on valves especially w 22-26lb springs ! Not too tight? I’d say! 👍
Red lock tight 😅
You made that way!!! Harder then it needs to be the whole gas assembly twist right out the front on the T1
so whats a good lift im running a 360 cam with 1.1 rockers and im getting 396 lift but i wanna go 1.2 and thats 432 but like whats a good lift and how do u determined a good lift
I'm literally doing the same project but the problem I'm going through is I have a 425cc 13000watt generator & I've gotten to the process of taking everything off til it's only engine but I don't have any crankshafts laying around for that big of an engine 😂..so im hauled kinda
Congratulations! After HOURS of searching the interwebs, your video is the ONLY ONE that explained this! You're the only one I found that mentioned using a bolt to line up the balancer. All I did was take off the balancer to have room to pull the engine, can chain remained intact. But since nothing is keyed I had to start from scratch. Thanks again!
Would love to see new seats put in
Thanks
Why would I be getting gas in the air filter? Any thoughts - great video
Id get rid of the foam filter. I love em until i had to take my carb apart and clean it and clean it and clean it because the filter started crumbling from inside so i couldnt see it u til my bike shut off lol.

I’ve got 18 pound springs aluminum flywheel and no governor and exhaust plus this carb I switched out the 95 jet to a 115 jet and at idle when I pull the throttle it turns off I’m lost can anyone help
Unscrew the top of the carb off (the cable and plunger / throttle assembly) and change the postion the needle,it has a few notches at the top of it lower the C clip sits in that notches to introduce your fuel mixture sooner mitigating your problem.....or don't idgaf
Can i borrow your 10mm🙏🙏🙏
Moral......... at 700 dollars to replace 30% of the car, just save and buy new

I'm guessing you guys have never done timing chains on Ford's 4.0 V-6 which is old as fuck. And BTW, with those engines you must pull the engine to replace both the front and rear timing chains!!! There's no keyways on any of the timing gears either. It's all friction fit!!!! And just like this you have to have alignment tools to have everything in time just as well. Again, this is nothing new and most all manufactures have gone this way!!!
@davedave2525 Nope, we don't do them We just put another engine in won't get involved
Was bouta throw it in the garbage but this video convinced me other wise, im bouta tinker with it
what model number is that flathead? I have a 130232 flathead year 1989. Asmo how do you find a steel slevee for flatheads? Since my engine is a coolbore I wanna add a metal slevee on it.
