@@consolegearfrom old office keyboards, old dells and HPs normally have quite good domes

@@consolegear some are discrete/seperated and can be pulled out with tweezers after removing the keycap, others are glued to the membrane and will need seperating. Alot of the time the cheaper ones will have a rubber sheet with all the domes connected, so they can be cut off in squares to fit inside the keycaps.

It's white tac not cotton.

Some rubber domes are more tactile, I've found the boards with the discrete rubber domes to be better than ones with the sheet of rubber. also coloured ones seem to be more premium.

Switch mod is on my channel

I filled the case with blutack. But after experimenting I’ve found it’s better to line the case and pcb with just a thin layer of a few mm (thickness it comes in.) then leave the rest of the space empty for better bass accoustics and similar alps case sound, you could also fill it with foam but it deadens it a bit and the blutack already makes it very bassy.

I don’t think it would ever sound better than blue alps or zeal clickiez though, have you seen the keymacs keyboard with blue alps?

​@chubeviewer I've seen and tried a Northgate with blue alps and an Apple 2c with amber alps. Your keyboard has a pretty similar thock to complicated alps but with an even crisper click. I compared your typing demo to Chyros's acer with a spectrogram and it is true, the mids are almost identical, yours has more bass and the click is slightly more high pitched. Seriously good job.

I think it might be an IBM keyboard, with rubber domes. Something like the RT3200, which is one I personally own. If not, manufactured by the same company.

It’s a modded membrane with really tactile rubber domes. Still works fully, but the mod is: you add a small gap between the two sides of the case, by using o rings between the mounting posts and screw holes on both sides of the case.

Really tactile rubber domes haha but the keys bottom out too. (o rings between the screw posts, inbetween the two halves of the case.

Just the low profile clickies to my knowledge also you just bend up the metal piece on the bottom of the switch.

I managed to tone the tactility down, you got a video of the plastic water bottle? Might sound bassier too

@@chubeviewer yeah, but I remove it because I was only able to mod 2, keys, it was more harder to stick it using super glue, and also the plastic needs to have a specific size inorder to have that "clicky", and tactile feel, so I scrapped the idea, I'm gonna try designing my own clicky keyboard mod, I still have a video tho before I I removed the plastic

@@chubeviewer I also apply a butt load of amount of super glue in to the W key, so I think I kinda ruined it but it still function like normal and also feel normal
