The esc key has the super tactile mod which involves bending the click bar upwards and towards the switch stem then slotting it back in place, this creates more resistance in the click bar. Which actually stops the switch from returning on the upstroke. So a rubber dome is added inside the keycap to pop it back up which also adds even more tactility. It’s about 4x more tactile than a stock jade. The caps lock has a rubber dome in the keycap for around 2x tactility, to prevent accidental presses whilst gaming and typing etc. Arrow keys and esc are lubed everything else is unlubed.
I added 3 more packs of blutack in the case had to remove the 9 layer tape mod to fit so just stuck that on the bottom of the keyboard. so that’s about 700g of blutack just in the case, with nearly 3 packs in the keycaps and 1 pack in the top frame case totalling about 950g of extra weight. And it weighs 1.8kg which doesn’t sound much but feels so heavy due to how small the keyboard is.
Way too much lube and get a lube brush you shouldn't be able to see the lube on the brush at all I recommend 205G0 or GPL 105 and I recommend getting something like Holy pandas or Boba u4ts
I filled the case with blutack. But after experimenting I’ve found it’s better to line the case and pcb with just a thin layer of a few mm (thickness it comes in.) then leave the rest of the space empty for better bass accoustics and similar alps case sound, you could also fill it with foam but it deadens it a bit and the blutack already makes it very bassy.
@chubeviewer I've seen and tried a Northgate with blue alps and an Apple 2c with amber alps. Your keyboard has a pretty similar thock to complicated alps but with an even crisper click. I compared your typing demo to Chyros's acer with a spectrogram and it is true, the mids are almost identical, yours has more bass and the click is slightly more high pitched. Seriously good job.
@@vilhola2187 i sorta heavily lubed an mx blue keyboard and also did a quieter bottom out mod to it, not totally silent, that feels like a linear tbh. Building a silent tactile 65% in a month you can find that keyboard in my typing test compilation
your videos are so satisfying idk why😭 continue posting please

That's still clicky

I have never used those switches though I plan to get them in the future
@@trent6511 you can overlube stabs they will break in eventually
@@trent6511 they’re really good and if they’re too tactile you can lube them
most scuffed keyboard Ive ever seen sounds great though lol
If you have the money you should try gateron oli kings or cj's. Oil kings are pre-lubed and they're actually pretty good
Dude, how in hell did you managed to make box jades sound like blue alps? It even sounds better to me, which I thought it was impossible 😅

I don’t think it would ever sound better than blue alps or zeal clickiez though, have you seen the keymacs keyboard with blue alps?
