Conclusion, using blutack in the keycap with either card or paper on top was the best, almost silences the bottom out, (lube will do the rest) while still giving a solid feel. Don't even bother with the foam it's trickier to get right and is not as quiet. And don’t try just using card inserts, especially if you have the cross supports inside the keycap, foam may be better if there are no cross supports as you can fit double the amount in, and the card insert will compress it and keep it there. If you have cross supports inside the keycap it’s best to use blutack though. Also I should have lubed the linear switch to eliminate other switch noise not caused by the bottom out. Might do an update on that.
This would be almost silent with lubed linears. Maybe someone with some really smooth switches can try this and send me the video. I’m building a silent keyboard in a few weeks and if the switches are too mushy, I will be doing this mod and comparing the two.
Bro i was searching this since i don't have the money for o - rings (in the country i live they are expensive) so this helps me a lot thanks man
You replied to one of my comments to check this video out in replacement to the o-ring mod and this looks great!
Thanks, I come up with all sorts of crazy mods for keyboards, I have loads of shorts too.

Hi, could you link the cardboard that you used in the video?
It’s taken from a folder, like a ring binder one,
Thanks for another great video! Do not waste your time = "promo sm" !!!
