Good video, shame about the color grading

Hi Andy. I'm currently doing a similar builds myself although not to as high a spec ( the pond isn't limitless) out of interest what gearbox did you go with ? did you change the crown and pinion in the axle or go for w463 ones? you wouldn't by any chance have a list of suppliers you used for more bespoke stuff like the dash ect ? I'm hoping to use mine in quite similar way to your customer

Thats an 8HP55 transaxle out of an Audi. Im using the same box behind a Jag V12 going into an XJ220 replica. The adaptor plate was a nightmare as the front diff is on the same side as the starter.

Very well done! A wise selection of parts coming together with this van body to form a very tasteful G-Model. When I modify a car I hope the person viewing it will be surprised at how good it looks compared to the original, but not identify the bespoke features or parts at once. They should blend in as if the car could have been factory made this way. After seeing the creation you and your customer came up with, I once again feel I should perhaps try my hand at a G-Model van myself. Thanks for the inspiration, sharing your expertise with us and by making your equally tasteful video. (I guess I won’t get much sleep tonight. 😉)

Wheel base abit narrow for the van to have a good stance

are you not worried about the windscreen falling out ? Its missing the chrome insert wich is also the locking strip to tighten the rubber up i actually daily drive a mk1 and a mk2 transit and deal in mk1 mk2 parts

That's a nice LC4 you got there. I used to ride these (400 and 640) when I was in the army, 20 years ago. Nice, reliable bike but a bit heavy at times on the Finnish woods trails, swamp crossings, rocky hills etc.

Wonderful to see these old vans being given a new life, especially a MK1 Ford transit. Amazing amount of skilful work and attention to detail. 👍👍👍

Beautiful van (putrid Granada wheels though), lovely combo of engine/turbo/van. Horrifically overstylised editing though, too focused on trying to look cool rather than actually being able to view the van and all its colours.

Cool Ford Transit, but why no engine and exhaust noise from it, except at idle? Just an annoying music video, while driving on the road.
