I'm a fitter and turner. I've replaced a few motorbike clutches. This was the 1st time on the V-Strom. I've put a new one in since this video.

Can't go wrong with a V-Strom or most Jap bikes these days. I've got over 145,000k's on mine and done a lot of modifications, and it's still as reliable as ever.

I never tried the gopro remote, I did have it connected to my phone once but never seemed to work properly.

The contact cleaner did the trick. Sounded terrible the day before and it had all week to dry out. Yeah, same commodore. There's been a lot of cars stolen and left burnt out recently.

@@OzADVRider love to do that ride again , next time when it's a little drier and no camera problems .

Not my most exciting video but some people might find it interesting. I can never tell what will do well.

Lucky to have this in my backyard. Reasonably small area but countless tracks to explore.

Thanks mate! Built to suit me and not copied off other builds. Bike is way better off road and still capable of loading up and hitting the high country on multi day trips.

I try not to stress too much and just enjoy the ride, but it's frustrating when you get home only to find there's a problem with the footage. Bit of contact cleaner seemed to fix the issue, will have to wait and see how the next video goes.

@@OzADVRider can i ask why you removed the original fairing?

Mainly to remove weight. There was about 10kg's in the headlight/dash assembly and fairings. It took a lot of weight off the front wheel

@@OzADVRider fair enough; makes perfect sense now that you mention it; probably not-so-good for the inevitable off-road falls either; shame though; i think the strom fairings look great.

No, it doesn't look like any other DL650. Check my channel to see what I've done to it over the years.

Great bike. I've had a ride on it and liked it, I would need a higher seat which are available as an option. The owner of the bike has a channel called Bazz66 if you want to see more about it.

Only "some" fine commentary, I think some water got in. It did clear up later

Put there by crane for a photo shoot in the 80's. Can't find out what book cover it's on though.

It wasn't a nice day today. Wouldn't of been much fun. It cleared up Sunday and turned out decent.

Nice place to ride. We couldn't get to the old fireplace, looks like the track to it is being repaired.

The Falcon is an interesting sight. Great day out, love Hunters track, need to check out some of it's offshoots. I recorded a bit at Daylesford and the audio was clear, must of dried out.

Our lead rider did mention a train line track. I've only been out there a couple of times, keen to go back.

Always happy to be back on my bike. It's just what I'm used too and I never feel comfortable on someone else's bike, especially when it's so new. I could see myself owning one these though.

It was good to catch up. The GS is an awesome bike. It would be good to test out off road but I wouldn't be comfortable doing it on someone else's bike.

@@OzADVRideri had an 04 GS and it was a surprisingly capable bike off-road; the trick is to keep it moving, especially on rocky 4wd track hiils; they will plod along on single track ok but avoid anything too narrow or it will get stuck if ya can't find another way around...and they are heavy when ya not riding; not a great bike to do the riding you do but on half decent dirt roads and fire trails, ya need to watch the speedo or you'll be doing 160+ before you know it.

I've only been there twice now. Some good tracks. The old blast furnace and "the grave of the sheperds daughter " are interesting places to check out.

They are. Very nice how they roll up neatly. Probably wouldn't recommend leaving them up your tank like I did though. I was actually surprised they stayed put!

They are pretty cool. I think they will be good on camping trips when I take extra cords and they really get tangled.

That's awesome! Not much available for these bikes yet. I've got a B&B bashplate and radiator guard on my V-Strom and know how good they are.

No, I didn't look into it. The headlight should fit ok not sure if the guages would work with the ecu. It might.

Yep. Motorcycle Land is selling heaps. I'm sure other CFMOTO dealers are too.

It takes very little for the wheel to spin when there's no load. You may need to adjust the clutch actuator and then the lever free play so the clutch starts engaging a little earlier.
