Just recently got back into comics.. looked at all Spider-Man titles and was soo bummed. spectacular, spidey boy, spider society, morales, venom wars, black suit & blood, ultimate, spider-gwen & kid venom.. Through all those shitty titles only Ultimate and BS&B looked some what interesting. Grabbed Spider-Man : Reign II & Chasm : Curse Of Kaine instead.. love my boy Ben Reilly and a jigger spidey looked pretty cool imo.. but yeah Nick Lowe is a low down peice of crap!

I can see why anyone loves this comic.

Amazing #32 ("Man on a Rampage") was the second Spider-Man comic I ever read (the first was #20 "The Scorpion!"). "The Final Chapter" was third. I didn't get around to reading Amazing #31 until it was reprinted in "Marvel Tales".

I mean it makes sense for his dream really to be with Gwen not because he wants her over mj but because he wishes she didn’t die like with uncle Ben which is why he is there and in peters mind if she didn’t die this is how the timeline would go he would get married to her and they would have kids but the comic didn’t do a good job at communicating this I think it was better communicated back in house of m when he was given his deepest wants by the scarlet witch and a very similar scenario happened but yiu did a good job putting down what I found a bit odd about this comic story wise I don’t hate it as much as amazing spider man but I am not planning on reading any more

I understand if the hero beating up Tombstone is Batman, which he doesn't have super power... But, the hero is Spider-Man, he has super strength....and... Whatever!😂

I love that Spider-Man is punching tombstone hard! The only problem with this issue to me is that Spider-Man got knocked by a train! Let it end!

Spider-man has literally beaten up firestar who is a hearld of Galactus , he defeated Morlun whose punches are harder than base form hulk and who literally was hunting Spider-men for sport and Spidey defeated him more than thrice and now he struggles to beat Tombstone , man Zeb Wells and the marvel Editorial team are really bad i dont think Zeb should be fired , i think all of them should be fired

Zeb Wells and Lowe made Spider-Man Emotionally Weak and also made him physically weak as well...Tombstone?! Fucker's a 2nd rater at best, I've read Lonnie when he was a Prison Bully terrorizing Robbie. Zeb Wells has fixation with 2nd 3rd 4th Tier Villains, he brought back obscure Emissary to ruin Peter's life, imagine if Zeb had another year?! - the next Big Bad?- Big Wheel, Rocket Racer, Human Fly

The only valid Tombstone here is the one on Peter Parker's story and future ever since OMD/BND. And hey, why not hammer it home with the subsequent story literally being titled "THE 8 DEATHS OF SPIDER-MAN"?! Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it was just 10 issues of Peter just getting brutally axed in 8 different ways purely for shock value. I got totally see Nick Lowe getting off on it.

The most brutal comic fight I've ever read was easily Punisher The List, which makes this fight look pathetic in comparison. Drawn by JRJR when he actually had time to draw the damn art in the book (instead of the rushed crap we get in current ASM)

Another great video with a spot-on Analysis. There's nothing else to say. Nick Lowe doesn't care what Spidey fans want. I'm predicting it will get worse under Kelly and Ireland. I've decided to give the "8 Deaths of Spider-Man" a try, but I'll stop following "ASM" if it's terrible. If so, I'll only read back issues until OMD/BND. That'll be the end for me because the last 17 years have been a disaster for Spider-man comics, except for the original run of 'USM" and the current "USM" version. I think Identity Politics, Wokeness, SJW, etc. have ruined all the main franchises including the newer franchises and their corresponding characters. I think a great example of this is the animated "The Legend of Vox Machina (LOVM)". There's going to be major spoilers here to make my point. The show is based on "The Critical Role Play/Campaign" of the same name from March 2015 to October 2017. I never watched the original campaign because I had never heard of it until the animated series came out in January 2022. After the 1st season, I watched the campaign and thought it was boring as the actors and actresses sat around a table in casual clothing acting out the scenes. However, I really liked Season 1 despite it being woke, t I thought the storyline adaptation was very good, and I decided I wanted to follow the series and became a huge fan. The story: The show follows Vox Machina, a group of mercenaries who are more interested in money and ale than protecting the realm. However, when the kingdom is threatened by evil, they realize they are the only ones who can restore justice. The characters: The show features a variety of characters, including: Vax and Vex: Twin half-elf siblings who are perceived as less than team players Batch: Uses enchanted daggers that return to him after being thrown Grog: A giant who sometimes delivers flat humor Gnomes Pike and Scanlan Kayleth - a Druid Percy - A nobleman The show is in the 3rd season and for the 1st two seasons, and up to Episode 7 of the current season, there have been adventures against dark forces including Dragons and a Vampire. Two characters Percy and Vex (a female half-elf) have been building a relationship since the start of the 1st season. Finally, in this season they become romantically involved. I decided to conduct some research about the original source material and found out Percy is killed twice and resurrected after Vex is killed once and resurrected (it's not as bad as it sounds) and they marry and have 5 children after their campaign/adventure is over. However, the showrunners decided to kill Percy off permanently in this season's 7th episode and the last three episodes 9 to 12 will premiere this upcoming Thursday, October 24. It looks like Percy might stay dead. I'm very disappointed by this showrunner's decision if it stands and posted a comment about that decision. Some commenters stated you shouldn't expect a happy ending because happy endings don't happen all the time. Why? Wasn't that happy ending in the original source material? Sorry for the dissertation, but isn't that what has happened to MJ and Peter? Marvel Comics had to reboot Spider-Man and end his marriage because Marvel didn't want to give Spidey fans what they wanted. They can't let Spidey grow up, become a successful scientist, have a love interest that makes sense, marry again, even if it's to marry MJ again, have kids, and become a leader amongst the Marvel Superheroes. This version of Spidey in "ASM" is complete and utter trash, and the book should be canceled. Why do modern writers change everything about franchises no matter who the character is? Why is the upcoming "Superman Legacy" going to possibly have a live-action Krypto? Really? That's what DC is going to have in this movie? Are a lot of Superman fans excited about a Live-Action Krypto? I watched "Superboy" of the "Superpowers" animated TV show from 1966 to 1969. Krypto was in that series, but it made sense because "Superboy" was part of the "Superman" cartoon. Whoever is writing and producing these shows doesn't care about the source material and must add woke elements to the story. Even "LOVM" has just as many LGBTQ+ relationships as Heterosexual relationships, and even though fans were shocked by Percy's demise including me, the showrunners don't care, they'll write the show the way they want no matter what fans want. Who knows who's going to be Spidey's next love interest in the next run. I hope it's not Michelle the Lawyer or Shay, but the writers will do what they want and to heck with the fans. All I'll say is don't have any expectations for the upcoming Kelly and Ireland run because if you do, you'll be extremely disappointed.

My favourite part about this issue being the "the most brutal fight in Spider-Man history" is that issue 5 was also solicited as "their most brutal battle ever" which means we've had 2 "most brutal" fights in the same run. It gets even funnier if you reread issue 5 and realize that Spidey and Tombstone never fight in it.

I'm sorry Peter should have been done to Tombstone within 3 panels. This Wells Peter is so pathetic and weak it just makes moments where he's not being controlled by the writers it becomes infuriating bc it makes you go "WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THAT BEFORE YOU MORON"

We’re almost done…finally. Once the end of the month rolls around, Zeb is officially out!!! But then we still have 8 Deaths to deal with…Lord help us all. Honestly, the ASM are completely unrecognizable and they must be fixed somehow and someway. Hell even I could do it, and I’m still a fairly new writer. I’m currently working on a fan-comic called Ultimate Moon Knight, but I have ideas for how to fix ASM in a rough idea I have dubbed “Peter Parker: The Amazing Spider-Man”

Another solid review. I’m just hoping that 8 Deaths and whatever comes after will be better. It’s hard to see how it can be worse. I always said that for whoever follows to be popular is to just “not be Wells”… but as long as Lowe is still Lowering the standards to their very Lowest we can never hope for better with any real expectation.

One more issue until we can wash away this run for good but the lasting damage will be felt for years to come more to how terrible it is

Good news is we have had ultimate Spider-Man this week which was a major breath of fresh air over the awful amazing Spider-Man which is just terrible and a garbage book of a series from the beginning to the very end of zeb wells awful run in my opinion.

Please tell me this is the end of the Wells run. I thought he was done an issue 60, I’m kind of optimistic for Joe Kelly, but kind of disappointed after what we’ve had

The Supermans comics answer to the nihilistic, pessimist and cynism viewpoints of the modern era. Actually dare i say as far back as post 2000 era or even the rise of anti heroes. Ive grown up always loving Superman. Prefered him to Batman in every way and media even the animated series. I was attracted to the literal Day/brightness as opposed to the night batman represented. As i got older, i was astounded by "superman is boring" crowd who saw nothingg but his powers. Injustice in my eyes was cool for a mere moment, but for people take that and say thats Superman, is bullshit and annoyed with that iteration bleeding on his true legacy.

I'm not even a big fan of Superman, but this story is absolute peak comic book writing. It presents Superman with a serious issue that he can't solve with his powers alone (which is the biggest challenge in any Superman story). Instead, he has to prove why he's right and they're wrong, and not only show them, but convince the entirety of the populace that his way is better. Which he does, brilliantly. If anybody ever needs an indication of what Superman can and should be at his best, this is the story to read.

If I’m being honest, I think the best portrayals of Superman are the DCEU version, the SVTE version, and the MAWS version. The main factor (At least for me) is that they all have the same key traits: They want to use their powers to help people. That, and the Elite and MAWS versions of Superman and Lois are ADORABLE together.

I almost cried too, because Superman is the reason I love superheroes. This comic saved my life, saved EVERYONE'S lives. The world nowadays has gone dark because of the same reasons The Elite believes in, but I still believe in Superman. 🥲
