Awesome vid! Thanks for this! Magic xt1 would be perfect for my family vids. Was choosing between lark and xt1. Thanks to your friend and from what i've heard xt1 is the better option. Goodluck on your channel!
Can’t go wrong! Thanks!
I've been watching videos on wireless mics all night and this was by far the best one I've seen, thanks!
Ahhh I appreciate it!! That means a lot!
this case I believe is built for productivity in mind meaning its not designed for gaming so the power draw doesn't need to be that high else you will run into problems. look for cheap 4k builds that will save you money use less psu power to run meaning it'll run cooler. This isn't built for high end gaming in mind cos the more power you spit out the hotter this thing will run.
I have found a fix potentially for this case that lowered my temps by 10-20 degrees Celsius. Download a software called Throttlestop and set power plan to either 'Save Power' or 'Balanced' this is set to 'performance' or 'high performance' by default.
Exactly my point with this video. This case is not meant to have a high end workstation put in it. Even with undervolting and power limiting, the airflow is just not sufficient to cool the components.
@@kyle_munoz I found changing my power plan has helped bring down my temps even while gaming. I would look into doing that the case is a little beast and having everything set to performance isn't going to be great for this case.
same, but everything i tried wasn’t enough to bring the cpu temps to under thermal throttle threshold so i just swapped cases
@@kyle_munoz oh fairs I managed to achieve good reads 48 degrees on desktop and 60-70 in game. I did have 90-100 and I was soo worried this thing was gunna blow up lol. I will be trying to add 2 fans to the top of the case eventually but that'll happen down the line.
With how good the video was I really expected to see an account with at the very least tens of thousands of suscribers but seeing how good you are I'm sure you'll get there at some point. Great video and really interesting subject.
wow thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
Was randomly recommended this video and I thought it was great. Don’t know how you haven’t blown up yet bro. Your cinematic 4k vlogs are awesome!
ah man i really appreciate it!!
Really interesting video even if I’m not that super into watches! Great filmmaking 👍
I appreciate it!
Down the rabbit hole we go... Dope vid as always
i love you
The videos I expect the least end up being the ones I like the most jaja. Good stuff Kyle!
HAHA Thank you!!!
I like your video don't get me wrong it's great to watch and so easy to follow not over filled and not under explained just perfect but i have a gripe with LUT's myself as i feel tehy take all the fun out of working with colour to get the desired like you said in the video with 4 steps you was pretty much there what i enjoy is the process to create that look that the LUT does so for me personally i try and steer clear of them however i know they have their uses such as if you are time constrained they are very handy i get that but yeah generally i am not a fan. Would love to hear your thoughts on what i have said.
i completely agree with you. The fun part is creating the look but like you said, that can be very time consuming. But when i do create a look from scratch, i like to save it so i don’t have to do it over again which then kind of turns into a LUT in itself? In this case the LUT is indented to emulate a specific look but in general i do typically like to create my own grades from scratch.
sorry for asking this, what is "CBA to track this" ? is that paper for sale in marketplace?
lol “Can’t Be Asked to track this” I don’t have the full version of davinci so tracking that picture to the paper i was holding would’ve taken forever.
@@kyle_munoz Ow so I can take the white balance from your paper in video in davinci to resemble kodak 2383 footage? Am I right?
nono, that was just a fun way for me to show the Kodak LUT in a physical way. Has nothing to do with using it in davinci.
Thanks bro....but what about your conclusion for s22ultra, which wireless mic should we use for android smartphones
Out of these two, the XT1. But in general, I like the Hollyland Lark M2 creator pack
Optimum Tech did a similar video with the ghost S1 and saw lower temps using a single fan as exhaust. He did actual testing and posted results. Your video isn’t very scientific and seems more opinionated. When it comes to optimising thermals in a small itx case there are so many variables. It’s not impossible to run mid to high end components in this case while managing thermals.
This video was to show the theory of thermodynamics that I think proves why people are having issues using this case with high end, energy-hungry components. So yes, these are just my opinions but they are based in theory and weeks of research & testing within reason for a normal person like me. I don’t have extra CPUs, GPUs, or coolers to do side-by-side testing so reading about other people’s experiences showed that I wasn’t the only one experiencing this, leading to me making the video. I could’ve been more quantitative with my declarations, but that would’ve been too specific to my build, so I went with the qualitative conclusions that could be applied to a variety of different builds within this case.
great Video!
Thanks!
This is a great video!
I appreciate it!!
When doing the CST. Isnt that dialed in according to the log profile you shot it with eg. S-Log 3? I didnt get that part
It depends. In this case, I corrected the footage in a separate step before doing any of the grading so it’s in the Rec-709/Gamma 2.4 color space. If you check out my color correction video I explain everything there.
I started studying colors and transformations 3 to 4 months ago, and your tutorial was by far the simplest and significantly the most common of all, thanks for sharing!
Ah man I really appreciate it! That means a lot!
Great video🫶🏻
Glad you liked it!!
Sick , thank you sir! +1subscriber
I appreciate it!!
awesome! thanks mate - subbed for sure!
A year ago I was debating on a camera and ultimately settled on a Canon EOS R8 don’t get me wrong it’s a great camera but after looking at multiple reviews and saving some more money it may be time to add the A7C to my arsenal….Great video man!
Hahaha you are right.. those memory cards are so expensive for 10 bits. I was looking at A7C but instead i sold ZVE1 and got myself ZV1M2.
I’ve heard good things about the mark 2! Let me know how it is!
genuine question for your CST. you don’t change your input and output to slog? why put it in rec709 and gamma 2.4
i’m just learning color grading and everyone i watches so far said for their CST input and output to slog/s-cine tone. i was wondering if your CST choice is specific to the kodak lut
Love the question! This is the second part of my color editing process. In the first part (Color Correction) is where I use a LUT to convert the SLOG footage to Rec709. So since i did that in a prior step, for this CST I can use Rec709 and Gamma 2.4 as the inputs. Let me know if that helps!
Great content. I've been rocking my A7C for over 2 years.
Let’s geddit, my Sony a7iii is the a7c minus the flip out screen so I definitely mess with this!
perfect!
You don't need adjustment layers for that. You can put all the clips with S-LOG3 for example in one group and put the conversion lut on the post-group page. Then make clip specific adjustments (i.e. exposure) on every clip individually. The benefit is that you have full control over each individual clip and its settings, but you can also do global adjustments to the group. Great video though. 👍
Yeah that’s a great idea. For this specific workflow I have correcting and grading in separate sections just for clarity sake, but I think condensing them to the way you described is better for everyday workability. I’ll definitely try it out thanks for the tip!
massive file sizes are my nightmare 😡
I see 1000+ subs on that counter now. Proud of the 🐐
YESSIRRRR
Im lowkey hating rn, you make 8 bit look so good!
😂😂 If you still had 8-but cameras i’m sure you’d have your colors lookin like this in no time
Lets gooooo!
Great video and now I know which Sony to get if I want to step up my game on a reasonable budget!
Yessir! It’s the perfect one!
Hey Kyle ... two questions. First - thanks for sharing all your knowledge with the rest of us! Second - I'm not an editor (nor do I want to be) but I do use Blackmagic Camera app (on iPhone) the app has the capability to import "LUTS" ... my question to you is there a Kodak 2383 Luts one can use in the Black magic camera app? If you can share any information, that would be awesome. I suspect there are other filmmakers out there who may be interested also. 😉 🎬 🎥
The only way I could think to do it would be to create the CST and 2383 LUT nodes in Davinci and export them together as it’s own LUT to then import into the app. So it’s a LUT within a LUT lol
your instructions are very clear and precise, thank you. For some reason my footage just looks faded and purple or blue-ish (depending on the film look chosen). It has always been this way when I try somthing with cineon. Any advice would be much appreciated
I appreciate it! There’s a couple things i would check, first make sure that your CST’s input gamma and color spaces are correct for your specific footage. If they are, try to correct your footage before applying the CST and LUT (Correct white balance, exposure, and contrast) . I don’t personally use the fuji luts because i find they do look really purple but if the 2383 lut is too blue I would just turn down the Key Output Gain. Let me know if this helps!
@@kyle_munoz Thank you very much Kyle
🫡
Can you make a video on selling on ebay?
definitely!
Link? 😂
Posting a full video on saturday. Links will be in the description
Great video 🙂 thank you! I have a question? How can I work with raw material on the timeline and still have colors? What is the timeline setting in Vlog? Thank you
Hey thanks! I didn’t change anything with regards to timeline settings. The clips in the timeline are still raw but I corrected them individually before adding the grade. So if i were to disable the adjustment layer that has the grade, each clip still has their own color correction node tree. But if i disable that correction then you’d see just the straight out of camera footage. For more explanation check out my color correction video, I think it could help explain what I mean
Really great tutorial and amazing colors! Was this shot on 8 bit Slog2 ?
I appreciate it!! The daytime footage was Slog2 to get the most dynamic range, but the night time footage was Cine2 to reduce noise.
@@kyle_munoz Nice!!! 8-bit or 10-bit?
@@sofaontherun HAHA sorry, all 8-bit
@@kyle_munoz Damn that's crazy good for 8-bit. This channel deserves more subs!
Ahh man I appreciate it!!
Hey Kyle … thanks for sharing - greatly appreciate. One question, I take it you have to have the studio version NOT the free version of Di Vinci Resolve to do what you are doing?
Nope, this is all in the FREE version of Davinci! Pretty great right?!?
Dope 👌🏻 workflow ❤
Thank you sir!
How come it aint working with Slog 3, Am I missing something on the CST?
If you’re using UNcorrected Slog-3, you put “S-Gamut3.Cine” for the Input Color Space and “S-Log3” for the input Gamma. If it’s already corrected to Rec709 you should be able to use the settings I showed (Rec709 , Gamma 2.4). Let me know if that works!
Your channel deserved more so I subscribed to make it 1K, Thanks for the video🔥
THANK YOUU!!!
I'd recommend setting some strict power draw limits for your cpu in bios. Undervolting helps but it'll still try to draw the full 200+ watts and there's just no way any cooler that fits the Terra is gonna keep up with that. I'd think maybe 120w at best but you know, do your own testing.
I actually did both. I don’t remember the exact numbers but i undervolted as well as had power limits at around 130W. It helped, but like you said, there no way to cool something that power hungry without proper airflow. It’s tough because I really liked the look of this thing
Amazing video. I have definitely learnt a lot. Any link for the luts ? I definitely want to try it on my next video
I appreciate it! But which LUTs are you referring to?
This is fantastic and so simplified. Great job!
I appreciate it!!
Great one!! would love to see more
Thank you! More on the way!
