This is my packing list for going from Pueblo, CO to San Francisco, CA in the summer of 2017. It's for going over the Rockies, handing a range of temperatures from hot upper 90s desert, to rainy/cold mountain passes. It worked well for me, and at some point I'll do another video explaining the tricks and updates I'd make or made to the list and my setup as I went.

Revelate Designs Gas Tank Review and Setup
I ordered this kit from Amazon.. the grey bag arrived with a clear bag inside.. that bag had been previously opened (3 parts taken out) and then resealed with scotch tape (so long ago that the tape had turned yellow).. Then Amazon hassled me when i took it to the local Amazon store for refund (even though they could see that the parts were missing and then resealed with aged tape... So disappointed with Amazon.. Why are they selling incomplete, used items as new..? I will never use Amazon again..
i will bet this was a good video.. but i'm not able to see a black frame in the night. it is really best to video in natural sunlight with lights turned off so you don't get reflections.. putting a light colored back ground for a dark bike is best.. Wish i could have seen this.. Cheers
Im in need of the top clamp
Where can I buy the upper clamp for the riser
Are you selling the LHT frame?
Thanks for showing. I’ll try it this way 👀

OMG….if you screw in opposite direction it just won’t work….disaster
I love my spiderflex seat. It did take some adjustment period. But i thought your review was poorly presented.
link????
There website says rated for 25lbs I wonder if this is an older beefier version?
I have a set of Ortlieb Back-Roller Plus out of the Cordura fabric (the older pre '98 fabric is stiffer like the newer one) for 25 years, besides the Front-Roller Plus (now renamed to Sport-Roller) + a Rack-Pack Plus size M Duffelbag to use on top of them and an Ultimate 2 Plus which I stop using now because it doesn't fit on the Jones Style Alt handle bar I switched recently from a flat bar. I use the Back-Roller literally every day all year long for commuting grocery shopping carrying lots of stuff and of course for bike touring. After this time the reflector prints wear partly off, I got on one a little puncture hole which was easy to fix with some SeamGrip and two Buckles broke but you can still get replacements from Ortlieb for the older pre '98 "Mojave" versions for a few bucks, many Bike + Outdoor Shops at least in Germany have those even in stock and a local shoemaker could fix it for me. A testament to the build quality, they last and last and last.
Love my SpiderFlex. My urologist has forgotten who I am. Never going back.
You’re supposed to figure out how to do it first and then record yourself doing it. It’s neither entertaining informative trying to follow you, when you keep messing up dropping things and then reversing while muttering to yourself. The key thing here is the routing of the cable and you can’t even focus the camera on that and just shut up a moment to explain where exactly the cable is going, instead you spend forever waffling about irrelevant stuff. Then you finish by dismissively saying it’s not going to be a problem. This is seriously the most frustrating video I’ve ever watched of RUclips and leave me feeling like garrotting you with the cable.
I got a washer with my screw why didn’t you use one or are you deliberately trying to confuse us?
I watched this and now I’ve decide to sell my ortileb handlebar bag rather than attempt to mount it.
Good video, thanks! Only complain is the audio is so muffled and hard to understand. Subtitles help!
love the cat
I have been using the bike for over a month ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I find it very reliable. I use it for road biking. I used to have a 24 speed 29” bike that gave me more speed and was more challenging. When I ordered this one, I was aware of the diminishing. However, this bike is challenging enough for me.When it arrived, it required some assembling but nothing major. From the beginning and over three weeks the disk rotors (front and back) were rubbing some against the break pad. I assumed that of let alone the accumulation of rubbing would fix the problem itself. This is important because the rubbing creates friction and it holds you back when going up hill. Easy fix. Read the instructions on how to adjust disk brakes and do it. You will figure out easily.I recommend this bike, especially to the bike enthusiast. Enjoy it.
Are you serious.... Your video is 30 minutes. I recommend the original (Ortlieb )one ruclips.net/video/EGqkdJ6Qv2w/видео.html
I rode the trail from Brainard to Bemidji (and back) last weekend and it didn't seem particularly difficult. Ran across a black bear on the trail at one point but other than that, no issues. Hills weren't an issue on the "hilly" portion either. Took about 12 hours total and it was a beautiful day. If anything, the trail is pretty boring but I assume most cyclists know how to deal with that mentally.
Does this prevent wheel wobble at high speeds ?
Ortleib will never sell another Handlebar bag! Lol.
At the end for tucking the wire back into the hole I didn't have a ruler with MM's so I printed one out and measured out 70 MM, which then tucks back perfectly into the hole. Be exact on the measurement for if you cut the wire too short or long and it can be a REAL pain in the butt. Trust me, I know!

Thanks Rob Fox
Mutch toooo long vieo Bro....to explain how to attach the bag holder. But thanks for your efforts.
You make one big mistake. The top screw should be completely in and make one 360 turn in the cable. Then take the cable around as you showed. Pull it hand tight and fasten the bottom bolts. Now tighten the top screw. Because you only made one turn it leaves you all the thread of the screw to tighten it. 100% Video of 5 minutes instead of 30..
Thanks for sharing this information. I had to put a clip back on and it wasn't a pleasant task. Getting the screws back into the plastic pieces and through the fabric holes was more difficult than it should be. In the process of doing this I forgot to put the latch band back. So I will be to detach and attach once more. The Ortlieb bags have been reliable up now but I'm very disappointed in the design of the attachments.
I lost the instruction sheet and was hoping to find a quick video but holy mansplain. I will keep looking lol
Thanks for taking the time to make this video, but I agree with automat8 - it's too dark.
Would this hoodie be good as a running layer?
As if you would sit on it at an angle and ride without first adjusting it close to horizontal. You can't be taken seriously Rob, your certainly not cut out for doing reviews!!!
Well worth the money, grwat product
I see what you mean on the angle. I think I'm going to do trekking bars , with bar ends , you can mount any angle or size..
This is such a bad design, I can see it working loose in no time as well as wearing on a stem and handlebar.
Once locked on they don't move at all and will not rub, they work very well.
Thanks for the review. Its'a pity that Ortlieb couldn't highlight these differences on their website. There is a small inaccuracy in the review as I know that the basic classic pannier now has the same click mechanism for the pair of clip on hooks that clip your panniers to the horizontal bar on your bike and the lower bracket is identical too. The weight difference is that the Plus version is 3.9oz lighter. I too think I'd prefer a more rigid opening on the cheaper version. Unless of course I can get a deal on ebay and then it's all down to price.
Im am 6'5 will this be too small for me?
Thank you for your review ever so much :) I hate the gloss finish of the pro but hate all the adjustability issues with the plus. And despite your advice decided to go for the plus as I prefer the matt finish. I am hoping that some of these issues have been ironed out in the newer versions of this bag since your review is dated 2015 and now its 2022. Anyway they have a 5yr warranty so if any of the issues especially with regard to clipping on to the rack appear or the waterproofing starts to come off I will return for replacement with the classic.
Hi Rob I have literally done this job dozens of time's but I wondered whether I had been doing it wrong all these years. It turns out I have been. What I have been doing is to not undo the anchor screw and I have been threading the wire through and then using a set of grips to tighten the wire before screwing up the wire screws. I also didn't realise about the hole for the extra wire , but I think I will still coil it up because it makes it easier to transfer to another bike. Yes it was a long video but only because you were being honest so well done to you.
Maybe you should pay for light bulbs instead of bags
Is that the red or orange?
😭
Crap
Shut up Henry
How do you put it on glasses, not sunglasses ?
You'd do it the same way, on the arm of the glasses. If the frame is a bit thick you can bend the clip to have it fit on different sized arms. Since the whole thing is metal it's forgiving that way.
I have the same problem as you do. Have you ever found an saddle?
I've been using a Selle Anatomica rubber saddle for the last few years and it's seemed generally pretty good. I haven't done a multi day tour on it yet though, so there's that uncertainty. I am eyeing one I saw at REI from sqlabs that was wide in the back and narrowed quickly.
Please don't work no ever on Bike Station 😄😄😄😄😄
There are 2 versions of this product: one with a short leg and one with long leg. The long leg version lets you actually extend the mirror far enough in front for your eyes to view what’s being reflected behind you. Unless you have a set of chameleon eyes I don’t know how you make the short leg version work. Just my experience. I love the mirror and use itthroughout my ride so much so that I’m looking up to view what’s behind me it even when I’m running and not wearing them….it’s a habit forming.
In reality on the website there is the option to have a longer temple even in the compact version
Gutes Review, man sollte allerdings beachten, dass die aktuellen BACK ROLLER CLASSIC auch Werkzeuglosverstellbar sind und dass das Material der BACK ROLLER PLUS reisfester und weniger zu Schrammen neigt.
thank you 🌼 do you know if this kind of wheel stabilizer is good to use for bikes that transport heavy (6+6kg/ 13+13lb) front panniers ?
