Sevenoaks OO - Class 700 running session and chase camera views
Hello to all, and hope everyone's having a good September.
Firstly thank you so much for all the lovely comments and feedback on the August update, particularly about the 700. Getting such encouraging comments really does make it all worthwhile.
I've been having some fun running the 700 this weekend and thought I would try and get some 'chase' views with the camera wagon - turned out this was not an easy task, but I did manage to get a few nice clips, so here they are, interspersed with some other angles and a couple of shots of the Electrostar as well :)

Cracking models of the 700 and Electrostar. They put mu 707 and Electrostars to shame. Mind you, in my defence, only the cabs were avaiable when I built mine!!

Your 700 only has 5 cars instead of 8 or 12 but apart from that its very cool
Thanks. Yes, I know. The station isn't long enough for an 8 coach unit. And my wallet isn't thick enough either.

Cheers! It's built from CMAC models bodyshells, underframes and bogies, and using a Bachmann Turbostar drivetrain. You can see a few photos of the build process on my instagram @sevenoaks_oo :)

Amazing, looks very detailed. Only thing the 700 doesn't have enough carriages.
Thanks! Yes there are three reasons for that - firstly, the station isn't long enough for the full length unit, secondly a single power car would struggle to push round that many coaches, and thirdly it would just be too expensive and much too time consuming 😂

Very nice! I have this model too. What colour paints did you use for the doors & the lightish grey body sides please? I cannot find the appropriate colours!
Thanks! The doors are a Halfords colour, Bermuda Blue, but personally I don't think it's an exact match - could be slightly more turquoise to my eye but hey ho. The grey is just a custom mixed colour, adding white until it looks right and then airbrushed.

It's the first time I have seen this channel, and although I'm only 12, I am really interested in trains and this is just AMAZING!!! When I can I would like to be a driver on the WCML and that would be a dream come true.

which company makes the class 700 in oo gauge
No one makes an RTR model of the 700 - this one is built from a kit of 3d printed parts from CMAC model rail, which then needed finishing, sanding, painting, glazing and motorising. I've also added lighting and interiors to them. If you're interested in the process there's a lot more detail shown on my instagram at @sevenoaks_oo.

Thank you very much. Some of them are modified from existing RTR models, others are built from 3d printed parts and motorised and modified by me with additional detailing. There is a lot of work involved but it's worth it! :)

No, it's built from 3d printed bodyshells, chassis and bogies by CMAC model railways. There's a lot of modelling work and extra parts needed to complete it though.
