    Outstanding! If only a manufacturer would produce this same train as a set!

    Wow! this train is amazingly real for what it’s trying to remake! the livery is accurate and the train it’s self look would trick people into thinking it’s real life if given good enough scenery! Well done for a train in 00 gauge!

    Wow loving those night shots! Also something that caught my eye is that class 319 you had in the other platform is that a Bratchell models one? If so is it worth the money?

      Hi there - thanks for the kind comments. Yes it is a Bratchell Models 319 - I've had it for some time now and it's not been run very much to be honest, mostly because it only has pickups on one bogie and tends to stutter or stall over pointwork. Funnily enough it is in the 'depot' at the moment having some upgrading work done to the cab fronts, as well as head and tail lights fitted and conversion to DCC. I will be adding some extra pickups at the same time, as I really would like to run it more often. I can't really remember how much I paid for it - I bought it used on ebay many years ago. I'd say it is a nice model and well finished, although the livery is a little grainy in places, and appears to be a photograph screen printed onto the plastic. All in all it's a nice model though, and it's really your only option if you want a 319 in OO gauge at the moment!

    Stunning unit! How was this made? A kit? Resin ends on a turbostar chassis and body?

    • @sevenoaksOO
      @sevenoaksOO  2 года назад +2

      Thanks! It was built from two Bachmann Turbostar units, with my own cab fronts added, which were 3d printed.

      @@sevenoaksOO fantastic it captures it so well. I would love a manufacturer to make a RTR one

    • @sevenoaksOO
      @sevenoaksOO  2 года назад

      @@shedspotter6613 That's very kind of you to say, thanks! Indeed an RTR model is much needed. Given how ubiquitous they are, I'm surprised Bachmann haven't considered modifying their Turbostar model. Revolution Trains have announced one in N gauge, so I'm hoping we'll see something in OO at some point, but it will be several years from now.

    There should be a model for the class 357 but sadly it's still DOESN'T EXIST

    • @sevenoaksOO
      @sevenoaksOO  2 года назад

      It would be a bit easier to produce a 357 conversion, as they share the same cab front mouldings as the Class 168 Turbostars. The coaches would still need to be shortened though.

      @@sevenoaksOO and they look simulareto a class 170 or class 171 turbostar

    • @sevenoaksOO
      @sevenoaksOO  2 года назад

      @@Electrostarboi207 Indeed yes - if you use the 170 then you would need the variant with the lower front valance fairing, which I believe the Cross Country units have.
