Just stumbled across your excellent layout and subbed, lovely track and point work , will catch up on your previous videos 👍 loved the 465 doing an impression of a duck 😊cheers Darrell
Thanks Darrell, appreciate the kind comment :) Yeh that Networker thinks it's a Mallard 😂 Haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but remotoring is probably the way forward.
I've got the Networker in NSE livery and looking for the Connex version but mine has a broken bogie that needs repairing and you are right it has no pulling power !! Cheers Kev
Great session, your stock looks very effective. I had a Hornby Networker when they first came out, nicely done body but it couldn't pull itself around the whole layout on the flat! Mine didn't do those duck sound effects though, I'm quite jealous😉
Ha ha! Thanks Steve. The quacking Networker is rather amusing - hoping to get it back into shape soon. The motors are really weedy on these things, but those heavy diecast chassis don't help. I don't know what Hornby were thinking when they designed it really!
great video, i noticed you have installed 3rd rail, i had a few strange noises after installing it and found the 'iron's' infront of the wheels of a few loco's would touch the 3rd rail on curves and needed filing a bit,
Yeh absolutely. I had that very problem with the Class 73s. I was scratching my head for ages trying to work out why they were derailing, until I realised the bogies were fouling the 3rd rail. It's not really been a problem with any other locos or units though.
