What's In My Camera Bag (s) for 2025!?
As a working Photographer and Videographer the contents of my camera bags and even the bags themselves change from shoot to shoot, so this video is an overview of what gear I use in what situations and hopefully it makes some kind of sense.

Having influences allows us to understand how others create their work which leads to us further develop our own. For me, Saul Leiter's work is incredibly relatable because of the lenses and techniques he used, but also because of his attitude towards the craft and willingness to break the mould and try new things. My Favourite Micro Four Thirds Lenses!
Please can u suggest a good camera and a suitable lens for both videography and photography under 350 dollars Hope you will see this
Unfortunately photography/videography isn't cheap and depending on what and how you want to shoot you may need very specific things. If you're just getting started and already have a phone, I'd suggest using that and with the budget you have, look at buying things like a decent microphone, perhaps a phone gimbal or filters. All of these things will improve the look and sound of any phone video you make. As for photos, with practice you can make good pictures with pretty much any camera (as I have hopefully shown on this channel), even a phone. Speaking from a lot of experience, "better" gear doesn't make your work better, improving your skills does, so just make photos and videos with what you have and build your skillset🖖
@DavidFlowerOfficial "Appreciate the advice! You're right, it’s probably better to work on skills first.
Thanks for the video. I inherited today this camera from my uncle as a Christmas present with 2 lenses and bluetooth shotter, was planning to drop it in the pawn for 50 bucks because its quite old but after checking your video will give it a try tomorrow at the park, cheers
That's awesome. I recently bought a 50mm f1.8 for mine and plan to give it a run out in the new year. Thanks for watching 🖖
I have ordered one yesterday!! I can hardly wait to receive it, as I have known about this little camera for years!! Wooohoo! Can't wait to head out with it to capture the world around me!!
Hi David, would you mind giving us some advice for some good value weathersealed lenses as a beginner in photography and aiming to go out while it's rainy. Heard that the light is awesome and fun to improve our skills. Many thanks for your videos.
Micro four thirds has a fair number of good options so I suppose it's just a case of doing a little research on the lenses that will fit what you want to shoot. Even some of the kit lenses from Olympus for example, have some weather sealing like the quite underrated 12-50mm. Thanks for watching 🖖
Dear David, I am using E-M10 mark iii and thinking about buying ex used E-M10 mark iii because I failed taking sharp/focused pictures of people doing sports I beliave that E-M5 mark iii has way superior autofocus systems than the E-M10 mark iii On the other hand, I'm also considering buying other camera which has already known for its good autofocus systems (Sony a6000 or Sony a6400). However, I think that there might be something I can learn more about my existing camera, for me to actually take focused/sharp pictures without having buying more capable camera. Yes, I am actualy only a very casual on photography, know only few basic things about photography, camera settings, and techniques. So I am sure that there are sooo many things to learn on my camera and the technique to get pictures as I wanted it to be. As much more expert and experienced photographer, do you think E-M10 mark iii can take sharp/focused pictures of people doing sports?
Hey, thanks for watching. The EM10 mkiii relies on a contrast detect auto focus system which is fantastic for still subjects but less so for fast moving ones like in sports. I can highly recommend the EM1 mkii for sports due to its phase detection AF, very high burst rates and incredible image stabilisation and this will allow you to use any micro 4/3 lenses you already have. I used Sony apsc cameras for a few years and while they produce great image quality, they lack things like the ibis system which is very helpful for sports. I hope this was helpful. Take care🖖
@DavidFlowerOfficial First, I am sorry for my typo, it should be I am thinking about buying an ex used E-M5 mark iii.... And thanks for your answer, so basically I have to look for something that use phase detection to get faster autofocus...Which is already there in the E-M1 mk ii..... Yes, I am considering between E-M1 mk ii and E-M5 mk iii, but currently I tend to give more weight to the E-M5 mk iii because it is about 3 years newer. I'm assuming that there are some more modern features that I can take benefit from the E-M5 mk iii sometimes in the future. Please give some suggestions.
After the v3.0 firmware update, the EM1 mkii was essentially a new camera bringing elements from the EM1x like improvements to auto focus and ibis. If only for the more substantial grip (I still believe the EM1 mkii has the best ergonomics of any camera I've used) and better battery life I'd choose the EM1 mkii over the EM5 mkiii since they have similar sensor and image processor, so the images will be virtually identical. Another bonus, at least here in the UK, is that the EM1 mkii is on average quite a bit cheaper than the EM5 mkiii on the used market.
Very good presentation. Keep doing it exactly that way, David. Fast paced and nutrient-dense! Thanks.
Oh wow! I hope I can try to do this with my canon mirrorless camera :]
Thanks David, new sub. Rang the bell, and liked the video!!
That's all very organised David, I think if anyone looked in one of my camera bags they'd ask "why on earth are you carrying that???", to which I would have no logical explanation other than I just hadn't got round to removing it yet!!!
Oh there is genuine chaos at times, especially in the work bag since I've been doing more video. Once I get started with cables and chargers it can soon descend into madness 😂 Thanks for watching, Tim. I'll check out your Nikon EM video in a minute since I've somehow managed to find myself with a day off 🖖😁
I'm glad there's at least a tiny bit of chaos going on in there, makes the contents of my bags seem a bit more reasonable....
Great video, really enjoyed the images, thought provoking
Thanks very much. Have a great day, Chris.
PSE will not work on the latest Mac OS (OS 15)
Thinking of getting this and doing a full spectrum conversion on it. Seems like a good place to start but it does seem a bit intimidating opening up a camera 😬
Yeah it's certainly not a job I'd be confident in doing myself lol
@DavidFlowerOfficial But man it seems like the best option out there in terms ease-of-doing and potential quality. We'll see if the seller is willing to lower the price a bit haha
I wonder how the em10 mkiii or iv would fare in this comparison. Not sure which camera is considered the "newer" version of the lumix because their whole naming system is confusing to me.
It's great watching how many accessories you have. That small tripod is something I'd like to get. I have a big one and I don't use it. I'm trying to go the opposite way lately. Some time ago I traveled with a backpack for my photo gear, now I'm searching a small bag just to protect my OM-5 and maybe carrying a lens or two. Btw, get me a lemon-strawberry ice cream 😂
That tripod is just a cheap thing from Amazon but it's so useful. As for the ice cream guy, he's a menace 😂
It’s always fun to see what in someone’s camera bag and I also have three camera bags so now I don’t feel bad about. Packing light for my time away over Christmas holiday the micro four thirds camera, two lenses, flash and also my older canon g15 with a flash . People don’t understand my need for so much gear and grow impatient so sometimes I small one lens versatile camera is all they will tolerate and it’s still better than my no option phone 🙄🙄😒🤣🤐.
Absolutely love the Canon G10 and will take that any day over a phone. My policy with gear is to go as minimal as possible and then chuck in an extra lens or two for good luck 😂 Thanks for watching 🖖
i believe the canon XXD cameras, whether the 20d or the 70d are VERY capable cameras. i own a 40 and 50d and love them both.
They certainly seem to be. I still want to get my hands on either a 60d or 70d. Thanks for watching 🖖
My first camera, bought second hand. Although I now have some other really good cameras, the OMD EM10 mark II is still my favorite camera. This camera is like a good friend. Great video.
Another great video! I recently added an EM1 MKII to my collection and I'm very impressed with the results that I've been getting with it. If I can make a recommendation, I'd suggest getting a Minolta MD to M43 adapter and grabbing a used Minolta 50mm F/2 Rokkor-X PF. It's a fun, fully manual vintage lens that produces some beautiful color in the images and it's not that expensive.
I thought it was interesting 🤔... As a non professional
Hey David, really love your channel for creativity, esthetics, how instrumental and fun your videos are. Cheers!
Thanks for watching! I'm happy you enjoy the videos🖖
Sir i have a question is 200d is professional camera can i use for photography 📸
Labels like "professional camera" used by manufacturers are very misleading. I have made and sold work using technically far worse cameras than the 200d so then, by definition, they are professional cameras despite not being marketed that way. For photography the 200D is a great camera and it's not too bad for video if 1080p is good enough for your needs. If you level up your photography skills, pretty much any camera is good enough. Have a great day 🖖
@DavidFlowerOfficial sir u made my day thanks BTW I m big fannfor your work have a good journey sir love from Afghanistan 🇦🇫

I loved this vlog!
These are now £200 approx on eBay at the min. The used camera market it so high right now.
Yeah things got crazy really quickly with compact camera prices. I bought a Lumix LX1 for £20 a year or 2 ago and now they're about 4 or 5x that price 😂
@ 😂
I still have it. I wish I could still use it but my Sony a7r4 is just soooo much better in every way.
Great video thanks. The Olympus 45mm got me to like this sort of focal length. I have lenses of a similar focal length for other systems but those lenses feel like you are wearing clown shoes after using the little Oly. Nice reflections in the 3rd image.

sir can you giveaway any good camera , studying as diploma in photography , not able to afford it , 🙏 please sir
Unfortunately, contrary to what people may think, us smaller channels earn practically zero from making these videos so any giveaways come out of our pockets which are fueled by our day jobs. So giving away a decent camera isn't really feasible.

Really like your style. Your pictures are always full of dynamics but at the same time there is some kind of (personally for me) impressionism which is absolutely not about movement. Love your aesthetics
Thanks very much. I think a lot of my style stems from years of absorbing movies and maybe surprising, comic books. Saul Leiter's and Fan Ho's work really resonates with me partly because of this🖖
Congrats to the winner 🏆
Thanks for watching, Alex🖖
i wish it had 480fps slow motion :/ ...i really want the Lumix G9ii but the price/value for the Em1 is amazing and giving me pause. The G9ii is more than double the price currently. I guess the silver lining is they use the same lenses and i can upgrade when prices drop....hopefully.
60fps in 4k would be nice, but I don't shoot sports or wildlife so it's not something I worry about since my subjects don't move fast enough for even 120fps to be useful. I've got everything I need for video in the GH5 since I use manual focus most of the time. If I upgrade any of my m4/3 cameras, it would be for the g9ii though because that thing looks amazing 🖖
@@DavidFlowerOfficial slow-motion wildlife is magic
Thanks a lot. The difference between the JPEGs is astonishing!
I could use that camera up here in Scotland, David.
0.95 to 1.4 is not nice juuuuuuuuuuuuump. If they could make it declickable and round bokeh, it would be a beast. And integrated lens hood is vevy questionalbe. Awesome idea though, but should be smooth and not rattle like that............
Yeah my SLR Magic 25mm t0.95 has both the declicked aperture and the built in lens hood but it feels very snug and doesn't rattle around🖖
I just bought this as my first ever camera and this video helped me affirm my decision! I can’t wait to get my hands on it and take on photography for the first time!!! Thanks for the great info and vid!!!
Canon 5d, 5d Mark ii, 6d and ....everyone forgets the 40d but to my mind its got the same 'classic' early Canon look but in a crop package. Its a faster camera than the 5d and, to my eyes, the slightly lower resolution compared to modern cameras actually makes the mono shots look more like film.
I actually love the 400D too for this reason. It's pretty much the same sensor of the 40D in a much smaller plastic body, but produces absolutely gorgeous files🖖
