Good on you for doing things you love. As long as you stick to one kind of theme per video, and try to offer some value to the viewer (even if it's just one small segment), you can't go wrong really. People will have a reason to keep coming back. Don't think too much about it! That side light was very nice! 🌞
I always look forward to watching your videos. You have helped me to enjoy photography. I really like your new approach too, please keep it going *although I understand that constantly creating content must be exhausting.
Thanks very much for watching! After 4 years of almost consistent weekly uploads I think I was just ready for a soft reset and this summer off was great🖖
Great to see you back again David. Beautiful Golden Hour images. Awesome tips on manual macro focusing. I'll definitely try - instead of rotating the focus ring move my body to get focus .looking forward to your next video. Cheers!
Nice to see you back David, tricky thing the RUclips algorithm but nice to see you doing what you like doing. It's easy to forget that some people won't know about the rocking the focus ring backward and forward to locate the sweet spot, it's standard practice for users of older film cameras, but of course anyone relatively new to photography may have never used anything other than auto focus cameras and therefore never needed to know. I'm sure that mechanic with all the best tools etc worked on my car a few years ago!!!
Hey, Tim. As always I appreciate you watching, mate. It’s long overdue me getting back to making videos I enjoy and that question has popped up probably half a dozen times in the last month or so. As for your mechanic, I’ve encountered those same types in the past hence the analogy😂
I'm glad you are back! I know that when you (not just yourself, a "generic" you) create videos you want as many as views as posible. But out there exists people like me, that don't watch videos for the clickblait. We watch them for the content, the mood, the info and so on. I don't follow many channels, because I don't have all the time I want to watch videos, but I'll keep here beacuse your channel is always worth it. Street, landscape, photography in general, whatever you decide, I'm sure it would be great. And a question to end: How do you reach that focus for example in steet photography where you don't have all the time to get all right to shoot?
Thanks very much, I appreciate you being here. As for the focus in a street situation, the same applies really. In an everyday situation when I use this method it’s done much more quickly than I show here and also for street I use the hyperfocal distances that I mentioned so my lens is pretty close to focus based on the distance I like to be from my subjects. I hope that helps🖖
Nice one mate :) I’m on a big break now! so tired of just doing videos for the algorithm!!! It’s Just getting boring and repetitive and I’m SO over doing gear videos too!!! Don’t know when I’ll come back (if ever) lol 😂 … Great video :) Thanks mate for making it :)
Yeah sometimes a reset is exactly what is needed. I leaned into the gear videos too much this year and it really hit home after watching the videos from my second channel that I decided to post over the summer. I think getting back to the photography rather than the gear is going to make RUclips fun again for me. I hope you find something that works for you mate. Thanks for Watching, Grant🖖
David Great video. There must be a reason why you have tape over the Sony insignia. Care to share? Street photographers in New York City use tape so that the thieves who steal cameras by company logo have a hard time figuring out what to steal.
Pretty similar reason really. I often shoot in the city and after dark and even though I’m a pretty big guy, there’s no reason to make myself a target over a dumb camera just because it has a popular label😂
Yeah I have a lot of cameras but this is the only one I feel the need to tape up. I have no fear with the Canon FF bodies because they’re easily heavy enough to be used in self defence 😂
The only way I could get back to basics would be with a digital equivalent of a Nikon FM2. There is the Leica, raw only and no screen. But I don’t have Leica money
You are helping me with two things: learning photography and english. The problem is the learner, don't worry. Thank you for your work.😊
Hey David! Missed your videos, glad all goes well and you are back! Very warm welcome back here😊
Thank you🖖😁

Thanks Sam. It’s been quite refreshing to just make a video and have fun doing so🖖😁
Happy to see you again David 🙂
Thanks for sticking around 🖖
Good to have you back ... 😊
Cheers, Phil🖖😁
Beautiful, thanks so much for this.
Thank you for watching 🖖
Your absence was noted.... Glad it was for good reasons, not bad. Welcome back, and thanks for a different, but great, video.
I appreciate that and thank you for watching 🖖

Glad you are back. Your videos are always educational and they make me want to get a camera out and do something.
That’s exactly what I want my videos to be. Thanks for watching 🖖

Nice to see you enjoying it again.
Still not enjoying the bloody bugs though😂
Welcome back, pleased that you are cutting out the BS! Looking forward to normal service being resumed soon!😀
Thank you🖖😁
I like this. Different in tone to your more recent stuff.

@@DavidFlowerOfficial This is half the reason why I use OM cameras. 😙

Was wondering about you the other day....
Haha, people have been wondering about me for a long time😂
The only way I could get back to basics would be with a digital equivalent of a Nikon FM2. There is the Leica, raw only and no screen. But I don’t have Leica money
I was less referring to the gear specifically but more the mindset and not just making content because I think it will do well.
Thanks for watching 🖖
