Simply put...Alex is an Alpha personality, and Prince was use to being the ONLY Alpha in the room. Prince was of the false mindset that you can't question him because...well, he's PRINCE. Alex wasn't having that, and I don't blame him. For everyone in these comments talking crap about Alex blowing this opportunity...how many of YOU apply for a job without asking about the pay? Yea...thought so, lol. Also, other members of The Time speak all the time about how cheap Prince was, and how drastically overworked yet underpaid they were. Alex had every damn right to ask about financials. Prince is one of my all-time favorite artists, and all of these guys certainly owe their careers to him...but I refuse to be one of those people who celebrity-worship so hard that I can't call them out on their bull. His musical style his Ambiguous Style. I did not know the connection between 1999 and the mamas and the Papas song Monday Monday. This interview has been very inspiration to me .
