Well as a guy I dont play as "anime cat girls" I play as a Anime character called Windragon Shiron from Legendz Tales of the Dragon Kings. Also I bought a Meta Quest 3 mainly to use my Gaming PC Hardware for VR, I rarely use the hardware that's on the headset itself other than used it for recording. I bought it like a few months ago, I still have that newbie feeling when using VR sense its still a new experience for me. Yes it took me to 2024 to experience VR I am a late comer so sue me. I am happy with my Quest 3 and enjoyed it, Will I upgrade when meta makes something new that beats quest 3? Yea I would because my experience has been great. No issues.

to the avatar stuff:just yesterday spend like 4h to optimize an avi for quest in a way it would still be green and keep it's look. was a pain but was soooo worth it when my bf got super excited about seeing pretty much the same thing as non-questies. At the time, a lot of what you talked about here sounded like a foreign language to me it was all so new. Ive used nevermet a bunch, but i mainly only swiped on furries and had a furry avatar myself so my experience was pretty different. People were chill, most of them were actually only looking for friends and outright NOT interested in anything lewd. Just an interesting difference i guess

Its not that hard to make friends in Vrchat. You just have to enjoy talking to people. There really is so much to talk about. I routintely will join into other peoples conversations and then end up getting a bunch of friend requests. If you think that everything is already established thats just your anxiety talking. Theres always people in these groups who are meeting for the first time. When I was younger I used to have such a serious level of social anxiety that for years I was hardly able to leave the house. I learned how to love people, how to enjoy them rather than fear them and I believe this was the key that unlocked the door. I mentioned above that you just have to enjoy talking to people but understand that a lot of people don't but really WANT to learn how to enjoy talking to people. If your one of those people then use this as an opportunity to learn how to enjoy interacting with others, kinda like a sort of exposure therapy. You will relax eventually and everything will be fine :)

honestly theres two major reasons im mute. 1. im trans, and ive yet to voice train. there have been many times before in this game where ive spoken and had people refer to me with he/him pronouns. ive corrected them, but MANY times they just end up being transphobic jerks. its easier when people automatically refer to me using she/her pronouns. 2. i live with family, and often when im on its late at night. they would not take kindly to me yapping away at 2am lol

i feel like alot of the overabundance of "Suggestive" Content when it comes to vrchat doesnt even just level down to video creation or streaming. Even when it comes to avatar creators there's such a HUGE market for suggestive, revealing avatars. But its a rarity to find people actually making fully original avatars that aren't just the same, over saturated anime style. Hell, that probably contributes to the lack of originality or creativity with more masculine avatars, and why people have to resort to feminine ones. Masc avatars don't get attention, they don't get sales in terms of P2U stuff. Everything that's popular looks the same in a game that's supposed to be encouraging creativity in avatar making. Avatar making as a medium has so much potential but its just all the same because people are too afraid of being original and creative.

I have no problems making friends my problem is they leave forever, I have to go through the whole process of meeting someone new getting to know them and then poof goodbye forever. Also It doesn't help that I keep crashing constantly. Honestly my advice is go to either the omegle world or no time to talk.

I mute some times and when i do there is always the keyboard. So its not like you cant communicate. People just cant hear your voice.

I've really only just started playing VRChat. I know basically nothing about all of it, but watching the footage you have of just people hanging out... makes me wish I could have that. Friends online to do fun and silly things with. Maybe I'll keep going with VRChat, maybe I'll find that someday.

This game won’t ever change. I’ve heard that the developers have had some haunting background issues. I mean shoot, Vrchat saw mods as an issue when it was mainly crashing Avatars that can make someone’s VR develop issues. There’s no fixing anything for this game. I’ve come to realize that

as someone who’s been competing in VR esports for 4 years, the comp scene is dying. vr right now doesn’t really have new games, and that’s infecting our side too. since the death of echo, our games have been slowly floundering as players get burnt out and annoyed with the development. vails devs are actively making horrible decisions, breachers is stagnating and losing players, onward is onward, contractors has always been tiny, pavlov still hasn’t really recovered from the VRML damage, and X8 was doomed from the start. the only thing we’re eagerly awaiting is Orion Drift, and i’m not going to dare get my hopes up after so much disappointment
