Very cold and lots of snow at the cabin today. It’s been a cold snowy winter at the off grid log cabin this year. Despite the cold temperatures I put a fresh coat of paint on the inside of the off grid cabin.

It was a very cold day at the off grid log cabin with subzero temperatures. It took a while for the wood stove to heat the cabin up. Despite the freezing temperatures it’s always great having some down time in the woods at the off grid log cabin.

Freezing at the off grid log cabin building the base and backsplash for the wood stove. Had to unhook the stove to build with no heat. Winter is coming at the off grid cabin and running out of time to get some last minute projects done. The old log cabin is really shaping up.

At the off grid cabin and doing a new kitchen build. Everything built on this cabin including the kitchen has either been extremely cheap or free. The cabin has taken me years to build alone in the wilderness.
Off Grid Cabin… Bricks And Boards
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.Год назад
At the off grid cabin and cutting lots of boards from trees and placing some bricks behind the stove. This off grid log cabin has been a long build. Building a cabin for as cheap as possible requires patience and waiting for cheap or free. I love making videos about my log cabin because it shows it can be done for next to nothing.

Fresh Coat On The Off Grid Log Cabin

Putting a fresh coat of paint on the off grid log cabin. Off grid living is wonderful but it is a lot of maintenance. With a cabin in the woods it just feels like the weather effects it more. Log cabins in general require more upkeep.

I love to see your videos much longer.......it is great to see then video for 1/2 hour.the least......................Namaste
Probably good to keep them under 15 minutes for the most views. I personally watch your videos in between content about the war in Ukraine to wind myself down. Got to have balance. 10-15 minutes is a good number.
Thanks for the feedback brother! And that means a lot
@@offgridbono problem
longer works!
Thank you
@offgridbo you're welcome! 😊
Just a little longer.. but will take anything. Good to see you!
I'll keep that in mind! And good to see you!
Bo your videos are always welcome..A little guitar playing at the end was always cool. Keep up the good work and stay warm.
Thanks for the feedback, I hear you. I need to get back into it!
Video length is up to you. 10 to 15 minutes is a good time. But it pretty much depends what you are doing. Take care. Todd from da Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Appreciate that Todd, I’ll keep it in mind!
Can't wait to see the end results hunni !
Thanks youuu !!!!
Lovely 👍👍👍👍
Good job Bo! Love the idea of adding a room. I enjoy whatever you give us. Whether it is 5:00 minutes or 50 minutes. Love spending time with you in your world. 🤗 from Texas
I just don't want you to get pressured to feel you have to meet a quota. Whatever works for you works for me. I just enjoy seeing your little piece of paradise there, no matter how long the videos are.
From one Bo ( my family always has called me Bo) to another. Maybe go for about 15-20 minutes, anything longer than that people tend to not watch. Or at least from what I’ve seen.
Hey 20 minutes works
Thanks
15 to 20 minutes would work for me. Enjoying the videos; welcome back. 👍🏻👍🏻😎
Thank you for the feedback! 🙏 and thanks for being here!
Glad to see your back. The. Tj
Thanks Tj that means a lot
10 to 15 is great!!
Thank you
Looking good at the cabin! I like 10-20 mins 😊
Thank you for the feedback!
Hi Bo - You accomplished a lot in a short time. That will make a nice sitting room and the smaller size will make it easier to heat. The idea with the low window makes perfect sense and gives a great view. Video length? I enjoy watching your videos, so if you made them a little longer, I would have more to enjoy. However, I know the time involved for moving and setting up camera angles and the editing to get the video ready to release can be a challenge. It has to be difficult working in those minus temperatures. I live in Southern Arizona and when it gets down to 32 degrees I get panicky. Enjoyed the video. Take Care. Regards Randy @CoyoteSticksbyWILEY
The videos are perfect at 10-20 mins.
Thanks !
You are sure ambitious doing that in those temps! Love the low window idea...perfect for a great view on a cold day. 😊 I love the 10 minute videos but will watch whatever you got. It is harder to try to fit long ones in...but still will. :-) Cheers from Illinois! I'm sitting by our wood stove...keeping warm.
Looks great Bo. I can’t wait to see the end results. Videos about 15 to 20 mins log are perfect, but yours are best just seeing one.
keep them the way they are short and to the point
Thanks !
nothing like cutting paneling with a chainsaw LOL
Hahahaha gets the job done my friend
The length of time is up to you. Just happy to see you back
Bo, it's the same for every RUclipsr whose videos i enjoy. I will watch a 10 minute video you make or an hour long video you make but it'll be more profitable for you to make an hour long video. Just keep making videos
As long as your posting them im watching, no matter how long the video goes
Appreciate that buddy!
-8° this morning in Saratoga county. 🤦🏻♂️ I prefer 15-20mins, but short videos are better than no videos.
Longer Bo, and with some of your guitar-picking on a regular basis too 😉
I wouldn’t mind doing a little chicken pickin lol
Dude, this has been the coldest winter up here in years!
Bo! Welcome back brother. Missed you. No need to explain anything or apologize.
Hey Bo - am happy to see you out there again doing your thing. Quite a challenging daring project to remodel the cabin in wintertime with thick snow all around. But, when it is at least dry, and the basics are there (roof, floor) I guess anything is possible. You are amazingly creative. I look forward to see the endresult of this new endeavor :-) Nice to see your mum out there too. Glad you are doing well - take care buddy! Greetz, Jason PS about the videos: I am just happy and content to see you, no matter in short or longer videos. This is your channel, so do what works best and feels right for you Bo. If the question was to either have these shorter videos or not hearing from you for another year, I bet you can guess what I would like most. I am just happy that you are back filming and sharing!! PS2 would you like to tell us some more on what has been going on in your life the last year? Or how you are doing these days? I mean more from the 'inside Bo' so to speak. Take care brother - and stay strong!
length is perfect imo. try to stay warm
Thanks for the feedback, trying my best!
Do what works best for you and what you desire for your channel. My personal preference is to the point, whether 10 minutes or 90 minutes. I could care less about filler just to fill up time. If you want to show cutting up 25 boards, that's your choice and I respect it. Cutting 1 or 2 to show the technique is all I need to enjoy watching a project being completed. Tip: When you need to pull a nail from a 2x4. On the reverse side, hammer the nail back out as far as you can. Turn over the 2x4. Use the hammer to grasp the nail where it emerges from the wood. Rock the hammer to the right which will lift the nail. Then, grasp the nail, where it emerges from the wood and rock the hammer to the left. Repeat, right and left motions, as needed. This walks the nail out of the wood (best way I know how to describe it.) It doesn't take brute force to yank it out. Usually it makes even stubborn nails come out easily. Don't use this method, if you're planning to reuse the nails. Good to see you making videos again. God Bless.
Hi, 15 to 20 mins is my ideal time length. good to see you back.👍
Noted!
Great video. Longer the better😂 Glad your back and do what is best for you.
Thanks for the feedback, I hear you. 😂
Being an older retired oilfield worker who can,t go outdoors much anymore due to ailments i just enjoy watching a young man enjoying the outdoors as i did when i was younger , time is up to you, so do what works for you, but thanks for asking & remember enjoy the camp life while your young as much as you can. Wish i was with ya,ll enjoying it also.
Great video myself i have no preference, I would say though do what works for you.
Appreciate it my friend!
I like the short up date videos. Maybe in the summer you can do some longer ones
I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the feedback!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
They seem a little short.
Thanks for the feedback my friend
I'll watch what ever. You do what's best for you.
That means a lot , thank you
PS: Also, check out how Kyle's Cabin does his videos. I know Kyle likes your channel. He recommended your channel once, which is how I found you. I think you have a similar style. Looking forward to your next post. Thanks.
10 to 20 minutes works for me!😊
Thank you for the feedback my!
Do it your way and at your own speed..I'm just glad your back..
Appreciate it 😁
This.
Hi Bo, thanks for another great video. You sure have become proficient at cutting boards and Paneling with your Chainsaw as opposed to a Circular Saw. Looking forward to seeing how the Living room turns out. You will have a nice view out of that window when sitting on your Sofa. Glad that you showed some of the path to get to your cabin. I always wondered how far you had to walk from parking your truck. For the video length, I like the shorter videos as they concise and to the point. A longer video would be good from time to time if you think the footage would be interesting enough to share. Thanks again Bo and have a great day.
Thank you very much for the feedback my friend ! And thanks for the compliment 😁 wish I could use a chainsaw at work haha
Doing good! It realy is about what makes it comfortable for you. I like the short and to the point videos as well as longer ones that might happen when you have alot of videos on your card. I guess the bottom line is that you make the videos come to life with your explanation of what your are doing and why. Bottom line is I like both ways! 👍 Looking forward to your next one! Rick From Virginia
Thank you for the feedback my friend ! And like always thanks for being here Rick!
Vids are great the way they are. Start an Amazon wishlist and put a side by side on there. Maybe some millionaire that watches your vids will buy it for you so you don't have to lug all that stuff through the woods. God Bless brother.
Hahahaha yeah you never know 😂 thanks for watching my friend
Lookin’ good Bo! Thanks for another show! Beautiful scenery!!!!
Hey bud ! Hope all is well ! It’s been ages
What?!?!?! Bo is back😁👍 Been checking every month or so. Been praying for y’all! Hope you are well!

That means a lot my friend
