Fresh Coat On The Off Grid Log Cabin

- Putting a fresh coat of paint on the off grid log cabin. Off grid living is wonderful but it is a lot of maintenance. With a cabin in the woods it just feels like the weather effects it more. Log cabins in general require more upkeep.
Some much needed work on the cabin to make it feel fresh and clean again in the past couple of videos. Some plans in the near future is to add another solar panel or two, build a small bathroom with a compost toilet attached to the cabin, lots of firewood and a spans the overhang to the right side of the cabin. Hey Bo, glad you're getting back into the swing of things. I know that lately life has been hard on you but you have to count your blessings too .Trust me when I say that there are many people that are quite envious of what you have as far as your cabin goes. I know there 17.4 thousand people that tune in just to get a taste of what that must be like. One thing I have noticed with being off grid is the instant connection between work and reward and the feeling of accomplishment that comes with it. Say Hi to your Dad for me , he seems like quite the character. I'm sure you feel better knowing that somebody has your back.

Bo, I lost 2 dogs. My girl Kyra in Aug of 2022 & my boy Bode (like Brody without the R... Bo for short) in Sept of this year. I know the pain and the hole that's left in our hearts. Stay strong. You're fortunate to have your dad working along side you. Interesting to see you painting the cabin, especially the dark color on the overhang--have never seen that done. Where I live (southern US), we paint the underside of overhangs and porches a color called "haint blue" to keep the dirt daubers and paper wasps from nesting there.

Now Bo, let me explain how this works. If a chair don't get used, it will turn to mold and mildew, rack and ruin. Might as well throw your hard earned money out the window. Somebody needs to sit in that chair and who better than pops. I would say two hours a day should do it, longer when the sun is shining through the trees. Might think about getting a foot stool to prop up his tired old feet, too. Maybe even bring him a piece of pie, come to think of it. That's right, now get going and heed my words. Then maybe you can have a piece of that pie when the work is done and you see a smile on pops. Now get a move on!
