I'd like to give a heart warming shout out to JC "boss of the swamp " for his kindness and knowledge in dropping dangerous tree's to help my son with this problem..all went well, thank you JC........
Well done Bo! You had my heart thumping as well! Super glad to have you back on RUclips. The cabin and outside area is really looking good. Cheers friend!
That took me back! Had the same kind of tree problem over our cabin a few years ago, and being on the shore of a lake where the wind comes across the lake towards the cabin usually, it was always a worry. We did the same thing. Guided the tree in the direction we wanted it to fall and it worked great. My husband worked as a faller in his younger years, so is pretty savvy when it comes to falling trees. Sadly, last year we lost a good friend when he was falling a problem tree for a neighbour. The tree broke into a 'barber chair' and killed him. You just never know with these kinds of things. Be safe.
I’m glad it fell the way you wanted it to. My heart was thumping as well. That is soooo cool that you are friends with Boss of the Swamp. I watch his channel all the time. Love watching both channels. Keep it up Bo.
I wasn’t a subscriber but I caught the last video just when it was published before the long pause. Just this week I started trying to find your videos because I remembered a hot blonde 😂 good to see you’re back
Oh my Bo, that is more exciting than what this Grandma was ready for this morning. Awesome job. Beautiful lumber, too. Thank you for caring and seeing to your parents needs, keep them safe and going as long as possible. Praying for you Bo. You are a special young man. 🤗
Good job Bo... you also could have used that come-a-long attached to the larger tree behind the leaning one. (In approximately the 4 O'Clock position from where it fell) I'm glad you dropped that where ya did though - and your cabin remains intact.
Haha it was very sketchy my friend. Thank you! And yes I was thinking about that also but the only reason I dropped it that way is due to the clearest path
Nice job Bo! I’ve been watching “The Boss’s” videos for years, he’s definitely a amazing source for homestead/cabin knowledge! He’s also a amazing artist!
@@offgridbo I enjoy your channel. Hope you are OK. Life can be tough at times. It seems when it rains it pours. I know it's a cliché but, it's true. I lived it. Bad luck followed me for 3 years. Gone for now. Time will help you. Stay positive man! All the best to you! ~ Chris
WOW Bo ! That was really sketchy, but you did an awesome job getting that tree down by yourself. I am glad you do not have to worry about it anymore. Firewood in the process is a bonus. Bridge turned out great. With Winter just around the corner, you are doing a great job getting the cabin ready for those cold Winter days. See ya on the next one. Regards, Randy in Arizona
Nice job! Ya, Jim knows his stuff! Been there - done that. Just got my first set of chains and come-along this year. I don’t know how I made it so many years without it. Nice bridge! Are ya thinking of adding some original music to your vids? Thanks Bo!
Awesome!! I’m pretty new to it as well Robert. But yes I will be doing some tunes here soon! I just have to be careful and limited to what I can play due to policy’s on RUclips
hey Bo - wow that was really scary indeed!!! You manahed very well. That was a truely 'close call'!!! Just shows you are quite skilled in such matters. Am glad all went OK! You got a lot of fireword extra from that tree! And also managed to make the bridge anew; I remember when you made the first. This looks nice. Must be nice for your parents to have a bit more steady way up to you. Is it possible to add a railing to it, so people can hold on to something when it gets slippery from snow or rain? Well done buddy! Tae care and wish you a lovely weekend!! Jason
Thanks Jason!! It was definitely a scary moment let me tell ya. Yeah I was splitting the tree up today boy o boy got a lot of wood out of it! Railings are a great idea! I will probably add some. Like always my friend thanks for watching
Can you see why you don't want to use chain for this? Once that tree moved 2in the chain wasn't pulling it anymore. You want a static rope, there kind of like a bungee cord. You tension the rope and it pulls the tree with out you being in the fall zone.
It’s a very big deal , the price of 300 was only possible do to doing everything the hard way, making or using materials from the land and going everywhere looking for deals, the 300 dollar cabin has been years in the making. With ten or twenty grand I could build a much nicer cabin in a few weeks. Time to me is far more valuable than money
@@offgridbo I'm Just joking man......been here since early on bud. You, Kyle, and I all Started Sharing around the Same time here on RUclips. Glad to see you back
@@offgridbo Also....That is a bold statement that for 10-20K you could build somethings Nicer in a few Weeks. It has taken Jen and I almost 3 years while being budget friendly. Best wishes
Nicely done buddy. Glad it went well for you and looking forward to crossing that bridge someday.
Cheers.
Thanks buddy! And I can’t wait! I’ll make sure there is some beer and good food.
Great way of getting the rope up into the tree and a nice job dealing with that dangerous tree.
Sweet boards and lumber, awesome bridge. 👍

Hi Bo nice job on the tree. Lucky it didn't hit the cabin, it would have done some damage. Nice job on the creek bridge. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks my friend, trust me it was scary haha
Dude, that tree coming down was tense! It was hard to tell angles and clearances in the video. Glad it went OK!
It was very scary Matt!! But it missed the cabin so it’s a great day! Now I can start working on a bathroom soon
Whew! Great job! Glad you got some good advice

It sure was Paul! Thanks for watching!
Be blessed
You too Paul !! Thanks for watching my friend
I’d get a setup like the electric pole workers have and start with the limbs. Then cut 5 to 8’ sections from the top down.
Not a bad idea at all my friend! I just used what I had before the tree came down on the cabin

Oo yeah! I definitely had to keep fighting for tension, but I used what I had and wanted it down fast, thanks for watching my friend
Worry no more. Nice
It really feels great my friend. Huge weight off my chest
@@offgridbo You look like a man that faces his worries, deals with them and gets rid of them. I like that.

Just curious what kind of tree was the one that was leaning towards the cabin.
It was a ash tree Tim
that wasa big'un !
Sure was and getting a ton of firewood out of it!
awesome
I mean the Cabin only cost $300 so really not that big a deal right?
