Off Grid Kitchen Build On The Cabin

- At the off grid cabin and doing a new kitchen build. Everything built on this cabin including the kitchen has either been extremely cheap or free. The cabin has taken me years to build alone in the wilderness.
Hey Bo - the kitchen looks nice. I think the white stone background is giving it a spacy and cosy look. I love how you have your grandmothers' owls a special place in that area. Keeps her close always. She must be very proud of what you have accomplished with your life. I never saw a sink before in the cabin, but maybe you just never filmed it yet. Think it is cool! May wanna consider buying a berkey waterfilter (they are the best filters there are!) and put that next to the sink. Altho a jerrycan with a lil faucet can be smart too (for doing dishes and wash up). You just have to make the best of the limited space you have, right :-) ?

Maybe one day you can get the stuff to set it up so you can use the cheap 20lb cans of propane instead of those expensive bottles. :) Just build a little cabinet and run it outside? Looks great dude :)
Hey Bo, good work, it looks great. I've started doing some renos at my place the last while and although I not one for style, I guess I tend to be more of a function over form, I'm really getting inspired by how doing this is improving my life. It's funny, although the work is tiring I find I'm sleeping better at night. I guess one of the reasons is that besides being tired, my thoughts are more about what i have planned for tomorrow rather than laying there thinking about things that have gone wrong the last while. I've found that getting organized has made things easier leaving more time to keep making more improvements. It's like a domino effect and I sure am enjoying it. I 'm hoping your on the same journey.

You surprised me with the brick painting! And I have to admit that looks awesome! I never would have thought of that, and it really makes it blend in with the kitchen! Great Job!
I was watching a cabin restore video in Alaska and they had a problem with mice wanting to make a home there to. What was cool was they saw where they were getting in and they fixed the problem by stuffing the holes with steel wool and then sprayed expendable foam in it. It fixed their problem!

Yeah I think it came out pretty good! I just didn’t want it looking like a pizza parlor in the cabin 😂 but that’s a great idea adding that to the foam spray! And this is why RUclips is great!

Love the videos, takes me back home on the reservation, we didn’t have electricity water or phones till I was 10 years old, the only time we’d see toilets was at school, the grid didn’t reach our place, if go back and live there in a second ❤

Those emerald ash borers did a number on the East Coast, didn't they? I've always found dead standing wood to burn the best and it saves a ton of work to have them so close.
They really did! More and more ash every year are gone, it’s sad but yet a lot of firewood 🤪

@@offgridbo I have been following you for quite so time now. I am also in NYS but in the Catskills. Always wanted to do what you are doing as the off-grid life is the way to go IMHO.
