    Awesome video, mate. Not sure if you want any advice from some random on RUclips but I'll offer it anyway. Your grip is the elephant in the room. The club needs to be much lower in your fingers. Not in your palm. The grip you are using is really strong and stops any wrist movement. If I gripped like that, I'd hook every ball for sure. It's a good putter grip. Maybe why you are good at putting. Anyway, great to hear you have a coach now. You'll be in single digits in no time.

    • @JackPlaysGolf
      @JackPlaysGolf Месяц назад

      for bump and run I usually use 9 or PW... for my chips I normally use 48 or 52 and for a lofted one I go for my 60 (but have been favouring 48 for more roll out and more forgiving as it's a cavity back wedge)

    A 7 wood off the tee is wayyyy easier to hit safely than a 2 or 3 iron

      Can’t say I’ve tried a 7 wood myself but I have a 5 wood now which is easier for sure - at the time of making the video I was having success with the 2 iron (my point was more focus on a club that works for you regardless of whatever club it is). May make an update video with some more clarity that a 2 iron is very hard to hit 😝 not in my bag anymore 😂 but hey if it works stick at it I guess

Often the most common error is taking on shots that you may be able to hit 1 in 20 (for sake of distance, pushing for green etc.) instead of playing a shot you can do maybe 19/20 (playing a comfortable lay up, playing for safe space near green). Keep at it, don’t worry about score too much it will come 👍

    Great video. Loved the tips. One tip that might also help is that par 4 where missing left is worst and missing right is okay, you could have tee'd up on the right side of the tee box, taking the tree on the left side out of the equation and allowing more fairway to be visible. This is something that really has helped me before and I hope it can help someone else

      @@lylejohnson5549 yep this was more biased off my experience at the time as it worked for me then. 5W would definitely be my recommendation now after having one. But my go to advice for breaking 100 would be use what club works for YOU from the tee and keeps you in play (don’t feel you have to hit a club like driver because everyone else is if you know yours is going to be 3 from the tee 😂) - maybe it’s time to do an updated one after more experience

    My NZ Buddy. You are on a roll. To get the wrist hinge that he is talking about, thing that you are pushing the club down with your left hand and this will hinge your wrist to get in the correct position.

      @@bubbajones1035 hi bubba, we are getting there kinda 😝- in the time after the filming of this video I actually stumbled across that same tip (it has definitely helped) but my main issue now is the on the range the swing is much better but on course reverts back to the old way 😂

    Good stuff sir. I cant help but wonder if it would have been more effective to have 2-3 tweaks more or 1-2 pro sessions instead of figuring it out by yourself after one tweak. Stil lowering of handicap is always good and the potential is there, keep up the entertainment!

      Yep I was thinking that too but I had a lot of stuff booked in during the period 😂. Towards the end it was more annoying as the range sessions looked more positive but seems on course I was still reverting to the old swing 😂. Next step is trying to find a coach for in person I think (issue is I had a lesson a while ago and really didnt click with the coach / got anything from it so have been reluctant to see anyone 😂) thanks for watching

    Well done! Really appreciate your efforts and honesty in showing all of your experiences good and bad. What an interesting journey you documented for our consumption. Congratulations on improving your swing and on documenting 30 straight days. I used to have a black Labrador as well, so it was fun seeing him on your channel as well. Enjoyed that project and might try a similar project to improve my game. Thanks.

      Thanks Charles glad you enjoyed it 👌 hopefully shows it’s not always simple to change just a small thing 😂. Black labs are the best - want to try get him on the course more 😝. Definitely worth having a go consistency is key for golf - keep us posted and good luck 🤞

    Love your videos Jack. I think at this stage you should actually get some instruction. You could film the process, it would be great content for your channel. You've obviously got tons of video of your swing. I had a careful look at your swing. I expect some of your issues off the tee are to do with your arm structure. As soon as you start your backswing you are collapsing. Both your lead and trail arm are bending. Particularly your trail arm. It bends almost immediately in your takeaway. This is quite common for amateurs. The top of your backswing is also very steep. Almost vertical. Have a good look at any top pros arm structure at just 9 o'clock in the backswing, then compare that to yours. If you can improve this I'm sure you'll see significant gains. This video of Rory is something to benchmark off ruclips.net/video/P3YksJdejog/видео.html Keep grinding.

      😂 the timing of this comment is amazing haha. My video coming out tomorrow is pretty much exactly what you have noted 😝. Won’t give any spoilers but everything you have said is pretty much exactly what I’m currently working on. Video is out in just under 12hrs. Like you said I have lots of footage and the passed 40 odd days I have been working towards that better arm structure (I won’t say anymore 🤐) thanks for watching and investing the time and effort to provide some great feedback 👍
