Great chip in for bogey on that par 3, and the birdie putt on 17! Can’t imagine pulling a cart and the camera equipment for all those holes, glad you have a cart in the upcoming rounds..in packed wet sand I don’t even use my sand wedge, maybe a pitching wedge or 8-9 iron and play it like a normal chip shot
😂 not going to lie when it left the club I thought I overhit it (which I guess I did but luckily went in the hole, good line I guess 🤷🏻♂️) yeh I anticipated trundler to be wayyyy lighter and the heat was mental - cart was needed for certain - stay tuned next round was a relief 😆
Great effort especially carting all that gear about. Think your scoring well so far, considering you're having to belt round with an eye on the clock. Nice to see a NZ summer's day. I assume the starter and course pro are well aware of your marathon day. On playing out of flat wet sand, I try to fully commit, swing a bit steeper and blast it out. Works more often than not. 👍
Yeh this round was the worst by far - heat, tiredness, carrying gear, water etc. yep I had the day off work for charity event so was midweek quiet day and course was very supportive - provided me with free cart for the next couple rounds 👍 thanks will try it next wet sand outing.
My NZ brother, keep on huffing and puffing. You are doing great. Try bringing your right foot back on your driver and the will help promote and inside to outside path to stop the hooks to the left. Also, make sure to hold the club in the fatty part of your palm where your thumb is and go loose on the grip. It has helped me greatly now that the rain is gone and I can play again.
Hi Bubba, yep this was the hardest out of all the rounds with the heat 😂. Funny you should say that about the right foot that is the one thing i have been doing last couple of weeks - had it dialled at the range then on course it fell apart again 😆. Good to hear you are back amongst it - hopefully you have a good round next outing ⛳️
Have done 100 in a day for charity twice. It’s a GRIND. How’s your swing feeling since playing the event? I always feel like I’m worn down for a few rounds after.
Good on ya - I did 72 holes last year. Felt pretty good to be honest afterwards but my knees were battered 😂 my driver swing has changed like 4 times since but that’s just classic me opposed to the 100 holer. Did you walk any of the rounds or have a cart? How long did it take you?
