I like your video and especially how much attention you draw to course management/expectation management. That's helpful for all levels of golfers for sure.
Jack my NZ Brother. Good to see you are still out there and making content. Looks like it is ready to downpour. You need to make a trip to the States where we are in the high 80's.
@@bubbajones1035 hey bubba, yep have stuff filmed - struggling to find the time to edit at the moment 😂. We’ve actually had a decent stint of weather but has been very cold 🥶 certainly would be good to get across and play some warm rounds for sure 😆. Hope your game is going ok 👌
I feel you on the scores. The 95 rounds are so so frustrating when I know I’m capable of much better. I wish I’d have watched this earlier this year, hoping these tips will get me more consistently towards shooting 85 or better
Keep practicing and playing smart and you will get there. Good way to remind yourself is that 105 used to be the bad rounds and 95 was the good ones. Also a couple bad shots are sadly more punishing at 85 mark opposed to 95 😂. All the best with your golf mate 👍
Thanks. Great video. I've been looking forward to your return. Hope you are well. Keep the content coming. Congrats on moving your handicap down further.
Thanks Charles got a few videos recorded now just need to slog away on the editing 😂. All well on my end 👍 hope your doing well and getting some golf in
@JackPlaysGolf great looking forward to seeing them. Yeah, I've been working on my game slowly. Did 101 18 holes today. Got it down to a 93 a few weeks ago. Better rounds to come, I think.
Yep good point - I like to go with the approach of playing them as a 1 more stroke - e.g. par 4 becomes an very manageable par 5 (personally don’t think too much about stableford points and find this helps stay in line with my course management more)
@@JackPlaysGolf I think kindest phraseology would be "transition phase" good tips about trying to be constructive at the range and not just smashing it
Certainly at the start this is huge - sadly lots of people have too big an ego to play from the front tee or ‘women’s’ tee as they call it. Shame lots of people can’t see that it would help their game more in the long term 😂

Thanks 🙏- Yep I think it’s so crucial for the sanity of most amateur/casual golfers that is always overlooked 😂.
Super video with great practical tips! Great insight for beginners!
Thanks Craig - yep hopefully helps a few people out on their journeys

Tip 9 at 9:00 if playing index 1 probably getting 2 shots, so 6 for 2 points and 7 for 1 are still acceptable, 8 is out.

No problem John, hope your game is going well

Tip 10. Play of the most forward tee you can until your skills improve, then move back to next set.
Certainly at the start this is huge - sadly lots of people have too big an ego to play from the front tee or ‘women’s’ tee as they call it. Shame lots of people can’t see that it would help their game more in the long term 😂
Tip 8Take a playing lesson with your coach, far better than a swing lesson.
Also score over par not handicap.
What course is that?
It’s Wellsford just north of Auckland - nice track to be fair for budget course
