I just bought one of these. Main benefit for me: it stops the Vision Pro slipping off my desk, without having to pack it away in its case (which I used to do but added friction to me using it during the day). This is important now that I'm using it so much more since the Ultra-Wide Virtual Mac Display is available. The battery thing is secondary and nice-to-have too, though not essential if you're using it at a desk where you can have the battery plugged in most of the time. I often leave the battery in the dock though. At least this way, like MagSafe, you're not likely to yank the Vision Pro if you walk away with it connected.

Another option is the dual solo mod which adds an Apple small solo knit band over the forehead in addition to the usual solo knit band in your size around the back of your head. The Solotop 3D-printed clip was made to enable this. I haven't tried it yet because a single knit band has been enough for me, possibly because I have the Vision Pro closer to my face by stacking the two light seal cushions atop each other without the light seal itself, adding 13° to the horizontal and 6° to the vertical field of view. I may eventually switch to the Air Cover 2.0, which has light blockers which allow the Vision Pro to remain close to the face.

I live in Europe and on the way to transitioning from 23 years of traditional video content creation to immersive video shooting. It's very difficult but worth while. Computer chips like the m1 to m4 and Qualcomm with the risk architecture are getting faster, smaller and less energy hungry. Also for us film makers content creation is going back again to professionals instead of to the public. We are on the way to serious change in the coming years.

Im sticking with Annapro A2, not only is it comfortable, and have multiple cushion sizes for a variety of headsizes to share with family and friends, but i get the option of going open face, no light shield, and i love that.

I disagree on them being as confortable than the dual band, having the belkin + soloband helped a lot on my part 🙏 But it surely comes down to the shape of your head

I tested the Spigen but returned it, as I was simply not able to adjust it tight enough to fit my (apparently small) head. Could you measure how much adjustable length / flexibility both straps have and how they compare? The Spigen strap has these buckles on both sides, but there is a limit on how tight you can make it. It looks like the Belkin strap uses a totally different velcro adjustment through only one side and thus should offer much more adjustment flexibility. Could you confirm that?

See I can’t wear the dual loop band, it puts far too much pressure on my cheek bones and I think even the Belkin has started to do the same thing after testing it for the last week combined with the solo knit band. The best for me now is Annapro A2 + SKB combo and for even longer wears like long all day editing sessions, it’s Annapro and Belkin together with the solo knit band.

The Spigen head adjustment doesn't hold or grip when adjusted. It loosens up. I ordered the Belkin and hope that's a better...

These designs are not addressing the pressure issue. You need to have better support toward the front of your head like the Annapro strap provides.

I've upgraded, but I can't find the top button to use to adjust the screen ratio on my end, I can only make the screen curved by dragging it. Not sure how to do that like in your video. By the way, my mac is the latest system and the chips are m1max and m1.

The other long awaited addition to this update is that we can finally airplay from mac to vision pro! It was such a pain in the ass to use "family sharing" to access the music app on mac.

I’m sorry to say that third parties are better. I’m not even using the light seal anymore with a accessory from Germany and is perfect so it barely rests on the nose. Very comfortable. Apple…..you guys were too slow on getting comfort right. Next time do better and faster.

What are the resolutions on that virtual screen?

Hello, you can use the Magic Mouse from apple which connect easily with the vision. This makes it very easy to use the vision. This plus a Magic Keyboard makes using the vision soooo much better.

Could you try openning davinci resolve? Does it make sense to buy this for editing while traveling?

I updated last night, I can’t see the option at the top to switch between wide and ultra-wide. And yes, my Mac is updated as well! 😢😢 I’ll try to fix this issue today at home.

I dont get the option to select sizes, but can manually scale to ultra wide. I think it probably has to do with my Mac doesnt have the beta software to match on it.

Is it possible to change the resolution to custom resolutions? I'm so used to 3840x1600, 1440 feels cramped to me. A bit more width and height would even be better.

I updated to 2.2 Beta but it's still not working for me yet. I'm updating my macOS Sequoia now. Hopefully that's the reason why.
