I’m very happy with mine. My biggest con is that I have to take it off to fit in my travel case, but it slides on and off fairly easily. I initially had problems with getting error messages that my eyes were to far away, but I found if I slightly press on the strap to take some of the air out of the padding, and then lightly tighten the solo strap, it works great.
Before I even purchased the AVP, I had my eyes set on this strap-I LOVE IT. While it might not fit everyone’s dimensions, it’s drastically improved my overall session time in the AVP. By far the biggest con for me is that the strap channels the audio AWAY from the ears! I would love to see them improve on the design so I could enjoy the audio without having to grab my AirPods
I've been using the AnnaPro for a little over two months now, and while it's very nice, the non-adjustability sometimes makes my eye tracking problematic. I do like the open-face design of the AnnaPro though, allowing me to remove the light seal for use. Highly recommended.
Annapro has been a game changer for me. Wearing the AVP was a chore and now it just floats on my dome. No lightseal - I love the open style and lighter feel. Not good for gaming, but I'm not gaming in my AVP... yet.
Vision Pro for Nerds, I think the reason Apple didn't just go with the bar design of the Annapro, is that it reduces the FOV significantly, around 20 to 30 additional percent when using the lightshield (at least for me). However, I've found the Annapro is just about perfect if I eliminate the lightshield altogether. In fact, doing so gives me, I would say, an additional 10% FOV over the original soloknit with lightshield combo. The comfort of the Annapro can't be understated, but using it without the lightshield does come with constant micro adjusting every 10 minutes or so as the weight of the Vision Pro succumbs to gravity. But I do like the added peripheral vision without the lightshield, and again, the additional FOV, especially since I really only use the Apple Vision Pro to watch movies in cinema mode front row to get the biggest screen. With the Annapro, I can usually get 4 or 5 hours of wear time during a session vs. the 30 to 40 minutes of wear time just using the soloknit. And I'm one who finds the duel loop band way too uncomfortable to wear at all. And I have tried other solutions, including an adapter for a second top solo knit band that allowed me to wear the Apple Vision Pro for around an hour and a half, and an adapter for a Bobo VR M3, which was an absolute mess and needed to be adjusted every few minutes and also reduced the FOV like the Annapro with lightshield combo. Either way, the Annapro works best for me. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for now. I just wish Apple didn't drop the ball on the comfort of the device itself. This one thing alone makes the Apple Vision Pro a fail for me. I don't want to use it. But I spent well over $4,000 and am still paying it off, so I'm trying everything I can, so I can use it. vgv
Thanks for the comment! Also, I’ve had several people tell me that if you can only wear it 30 to 40 minutes at a time with the solo knit band, then you may have gotten the wrong size light seal. Have you gone to an Apple Store and talked to them about that? I’ve known a few people who switched out the light seals and the Vision Pro got a lot more comfortable. Thanks again!
Vision Pro For Nerds, Actually, that's the first thing I did before all the 3rd party solutions I tried. The Apple Store rep determined that I had the correct size light shield, but did have me try on two others to make sure. They had me keep the one that it shipped with, because it was the optimal size. We also tried the second pad for the light shield, but still no change in comfort. Their solution, and reiterated recommendation from their literature was to take breaks every 30 minutes and it wasn't recommended to wear for more than an hour. Incredibly disappointing. The Apple Vision Pro is horribly flawed when it comes to hardware design. It was supposed to enhance my home theater experience as a 3D move enthusiast and it failed miserably out of the box. These 3rd Party solutions are the only thing saving this product for me now, but still nothing's come out that works 100%. Apple, thus far, has shown they don't think much of their grossly overpriced product to come up with a comfort solution themselves. But I appreciate you and others testing out 3rd Party tech as I hold out hope that a great solution will be found. For now, the Annapro is a decent choice. vgv
@@videogamevegas Thanks for sharing bro. This means a lot that we will try our best to be better. Our Gen 2 has already entered the testing phase; however, it may still be some time before its launch. You can stay tuned for it!
Thanks for the review. I was actually waiting for this. I did buy the Globular Cluster, and it is good, but still a bit cumbersome for me. I really dislike the big knob on the back of my head which makes it difficult to lean back into a wall or couch. Was hoping this might be a better choice. Used your affiliate link to buy! Cheers.
Hopefully, within a year. Rumors say it'll be around 1500 and a big part of how it will work is by plugging it into your phone or Mac and letting it use those resources. But, who knows...
Vision Pro probably never, but maybe a third party like Amazon might drop a $100 under retail. Otherwise for what it is I doubt it’ll ever be cheaper than what it is. Other options include visor coming out next year or Varjo latest headset for $10k and weight twice as much. But honestly i come from a quest 3 and the AVP was way to steep for my pockets until I got one, and I ain’t giving it back now! 😅 sell my motorbike if I have to 😂
I visited the Apple Store to try it out. I admit that the AVP does deliver better visual effects than the Quest 3, but the first-gen AVP has more cons than pros. The price, the weight, the lack of a killer app, and so on.
When will Annapro come out with a Travel case? It is completely impossible to put an AVP in the Apple travel case without disassembling the head strap.
I wish you spent a bit more time with the strap and examined it a bit more critically. Some things I wished you talked about is the adjustability of this hard strap, especially since people have different head sizes, whether the (what looks like) PU leather would last, the packability of this into a smaller package for travel, and whether the attachment point affects the speakers of the AVP.
@@VisionProforNerds Did watch that one too! but had impression that it's just two isolated reviews. How would rate and comfort levels of the two? if your say the anapro is 8-8.5
I respect your opinion… but I just received the anapro… it does redistribute the weight… and I like the pressure being off my face. But I can’t stand it. I’m constantly readjusting. The solo band keeps riding up the back of my head. And it never feels secure. Granted I have a giant head. But I just can’t get it right, totally killing immersion. And the sensors constantly telling me move the avp up, or too close. Very frustrating. I can’t stand it. I wish I had chosen the global cluster
