Bought one on release to study AR for my master’s program. Now, I mostly use it to watch movies. I love when the movie reflects off the water in Mount Hood.
I love mine, I’d highly recommend the Annapro 2 pressure reducing headband. They’re not expensive but it makes it much more comfortable to wear. You can also use it without the light seal.
If you enjoy the immersive environments, switching to dark mode in settings also changes the environment. It looks fantastic in my opinion, give it a try.
Even after months of using it, it’s still feels magical every time I put it on! Someone who has not seen it, cannot judge! And even if you only did the demo at an Apple Store, you still cannot grasp its possibilities. Holding and manipulating VR objects and draw in your space and walk around it, is unbelievable! 3D movies and Apple Vision examples are just mindblowing! BTW: When using an Annapro head strap, remove the shield and the Vision Pro does not sit on your face but in front of it and your field of view extends massively - that is if you do not need full immersion mode.
I’m using it for deep work, especially with the ultra wide display support with the Mac. Also, working on a plane is awesome- and of course, watching 3D movies in immersive environments is a game changer).
I love how you tied the Apple Vision Pro to creating immersive deep work environments-it’s like you’re tricking your brain into thinking it’s writing on top of a mountain or chilling by a lake. Honestly, that sounds like a creativity cheat code.
Yes they have eyeglass fits for it. I can’t use it for more than 2 hours without feeling a bit disoriented. Perfect for a deep work sprint, but not for all day work.
Get one of the overhead straps and you’re good to go for hours. I’ve been using it about 70% of the time for design work (when I’m not on my phone). Definitely NOT a gimmick for those of us who have really dug in and pushed it to what it can really do.
Great video dude. I’m curious it’s been more than a month since you’ve made this. Are you still using it? I see a lot of people with their long-term reviews. Say that it was cool at first, but they stopped using it after a while so I’m curious what your take is
The FOV is crap with the cushion on but adding a a “CMA1” mod and cutting about 2” on each tip of that cushion will remove facial pressure plus FOV comparable to Meta quest 3. The CMA1 comfort mod not only improve your FOV by 10% it also more immersive. You as long as the bottom light seal barely touches you face (when cushion is cut) you will see why it make a difference.
Great video, but I’m gonna hold off until the next gen. For now, I can actually get my deep thought and workflow done on my Oculus 3. Not too shabby, but definitely not the Vision Pro.
I got one since September and its great but i am so younger than my 20’s so it barely even fits on my head 😂 (not bragging) and it is crazy that minimum age is 13!
My big problem with the Apple Vision Pro is that its marketing is centered around all this sleek cutting edge technology, but the actual use cases for it only marginally different to what can already be done on other devices, at least enough to get people to pay $3500 for it.
Vision OS 2.2 in beta just released an update that allows you to basically have 2 5 k screens next to each other with zero latency and up to five screens in Apple tv app
AR/VR is still in 1% potential but there is still some game that already showcased of something done right that does better and more that is absolutely not possible in flatscreen. We still have bad head strap design and non gaming software just an afterthought but wait until it reach 5%, that is when it'll render flatscreen device obsolete
I mean owning it and using it for 100 hours will change your life. Apple Store 30 minds demo makes me cry with tears of joy: I need to make spatial memories of everything.
I am a fan of the Vision Pro. It is phenomenal tech. Your description of it being "otherworldly" is a real stretch. My senses are not suspended. I realize I have a hefty device on my head at all times. I never feel "transported." But alas, you are a gifted writer thus your need to come up with creative words is expected. Great content overall. Bravo!

Would love to see your soup to nuts research and writing process for the newsletter. How YOU do it.
When you realize secondhand with Apple Care remaining on them are running as low as $2K on ebay for more storage, that price makes absolutely no sense anymore, in my opinion
That is false. You've been reading clickbait. What's actually happening is Apple is finishing production of the initial Vision Pro because they're moving on to producing the Vision Pro 2 next year which is rumored to mount the M5.
@@SargonDragon Yea there are those videos produce overhype title so most of the viewers who can't afford one and just want it to fail without any knowledge of the thing to click on it
Well Quest 3 have lower resolution and the ui is just lower quality. I'm pretty sure people who own both prefer Vision Pro over Quest in almost every use cases other than gaming
I don’t understand people who say they have pressure I went to the Apple Store with mine and set with like the one guy in the Apple genius bar who was Vision Pro certified he has one of course and he said to me that if you feel pressure on your face you are wearing it improperly. I looked at him like he was crazy and then he walked me through it he’s correct if you feel pressure you’re wearing it improperly
I can see how you think that. Do you own one? If so, give it another try and if not, it is a different experience and while it does overlap use cases, it does offer completely unique use cases that don't exist with other gear. As for comfort, this is solved with a third-party strap.
The overhead strap redistributes the weight just the way you want, and if you get one of the battery clips, you can slip the battery to the back of your head for counter-balance. If you REALLY want to have fun, sit back in a recliner and throw up all the displays in front of you. It’s a lot of fun and definitely NOT a ‘gimmick’.
@@NeilLavitt Yes I purchased one. I can only wear it for an hour before it becomes uncomfortable. Also its use cases are limited and there are limited applications that are supported. The tech is not "there" yet. People are not going to wear this on their face for more than an hour. I do find it immersive, yes, but the novelty gets old after a while. This is just a very niche product thats is not worth $5k....
The recent 2.2 update adds Mac Ultra Wide displays. It’s quite the game changer for productivity craving power users.
Total game changer. MVD went from unusable to very usable imo
I’m literally freaking out for this. It’s available??
Oh man it’s available now? Gotta download tonight
@@Sahil_Bloom The beta has been available for about a week. But you need to update your mac aswell to the latest beta aswell.
2.2 and 15.2 required
great that you like it, I love mine and use it all the time
What are your primary uses?

Crazy 🤪

I’ll check this out!
@@Sahil_Bloom Another vote for the Annapro. That made the comfort so much better for me. Love my AVP.
Its sn amazing device. Im waiting for the M5 version. The resolution is insane.

Can’t wait to get mine.

have you experienced any headaches / eye strain after prolonged use? can eyeglass wearers use the vision pro too?
Yes they have eyeglass fits for it. I can’t use it for more than 2 hours without feeling a bit disoriented. Perfect for a deep work sprint, but not for all day work.
Great video! reminded me of the excitement when I first got mine! I think you can see how this is a product you truly have to experience to get it.
Agree!
This is great! Loved the feedback
Pretty fun
Such a simple use case but so effective 😍
Amen
Great video, thank you Sahil!
11:58 bruh I would feel like a monk or something writing on top of a mountain

Buy a belkin top strap, it's a game changer for comofrt. much better than the dual loop band that it comes with. It sold at the apple store.
I gotta look thisnup
@@Sahil_Bloom Even better in many users opinions is the Annapro Comfort strap. The A2 version is just becoming available.
This is great content. Makes me wanna drop $4k on one myself haha
I’d personally wait to see if the tech advances or for price drop - especially if the $4k feels steep
I got it when it first came out.. It sits in my closet now and have been for months

I just bought mine simply to do creative writing, and watching my favorite inspirational movies and scenes.

Mount Hood the lake environment most peaceful for me
Just don’t know if I should get the 100 something gig or 512 gig.

Great idea for a video
You should’ve waited for the 2nd gen that is coming with the M5 chip.

If it makes you breathe like that, then it must FEEL really true.
Yes it is very much worth it
I just sold my dog
Might want to try and take it back. Apple just announced a day after this video went live it was being discontinued due to poor sales. 😟

it simply needs to be lighter. at this point, its just a gimmick, its less efficient than simply using a monitor and keyboard
