Ok this is cool but the only thing that would make it better is if you can control the iPhone with the Vision Pro. Since the iPhone is a touch device it's kind of hard to control while looking at a different screen that is not the iPhone. Also the screen on your iPhone should go dark so others can't see what you're up to on your phone while using it in the headset. Otherwise this is pretty awesome.
If they have done it in MacOS, there is no reason why they couldn’t on the AVP. Hope they do it in the next big release.

I am already planning to purchase Apple Vision Pro (slowly saving up money over time), but if they add the ability to control iPhone within visionOS (Like you can with the iPhone Mirroring feature demonstrated in macOS Sequoia), I would save up faster, haha
Wait for Vision Pro 4 or later as it will be a better buy

Great video on iOS 18 Beta's iPhone mirroring for Vision Pro! Having that giant virtual iPhone display in your view is fantastic. Makes it so much easier to check notifications and use apps while in the spatial computing environment.
By the way, I've been using the ANNAPRO head strap with my Vision Pro. Absolute lifesaver for comfort during long sessions. No more pressure marks! Just thought I'd share in case it's helpful for some.
What would be even crazier, would be an option to layer the remote cast over the screen of the iPhone or the iPad, with a tracking tech to have a perfect view of the screen anytime you grab a device. And turn it into a spectate big screen like what you showed any time.
But yeah. I’m using the Bezel app that does the same thing, and it’s not really easy to use as you’re always have to take a look at your iPhone to do press the spot you want…

think the argument for looking at notifications is nonsense-you have the Vision Pro on your head and can interact with it directly.
The only use case I see is using it as a gaming screen in landscape mode with a controller to play more advanced games like Resident Evil and similar titles.
from a UX perspective it would have been more practical to use the optics in the Vision Pro to track where you phone is physically in space so the mirror is overlaid on top of your physical phone, rather than having a separate screen floating around.
What do you mean? If a want an overlay right on top of where the iPhone is, why not just directly use the Phone? No overlay required.

The sound you play on iPhone does it pay on VP ?
YES! If you're mirroring the iPhone the sound plays back through the Vision Pro.
I'll have to wait for the public release, but I appreciate this new information.

Yes, if you rotate the iPhone, it will rotate in your Vision Pro!

No, you can’t, however, when you go up to the big phone and start touching it. You do get highlighted feedback. My guess is that you may be able to do that in the future.
That happen soon as you can do that in Mac OS as per WWDC 2024. Apple just have to do that in Vision Pro as well tru update
iOS got remote device control so I am sure this is to prepare for the Vision Pro.
Does this work with the iPad and what happens if you try to mirror with Netflix from an iPhone or iPad?
Not sure if this works with the iPad. As far as Netflix, you can now watch any Safari video in a movie theater mode so no need to mirror from a phone or tablet. Even RUclips videos you can now watch massive now!

Can you interact with the phone through vision, like typing a message? I understand that you can get all the apps you want, then?

Yes, this requires iOS 18 and visionOS 2.0.
@@VisionProforNerds Ah, that’s a shame. Apple haven’t given us a way to role back Vision OS without buying Developers connector. I’ll just have to wait then :)
this makes the larger iphones pointless for vision users now, it would be more smart to have an iphone mini again souly as a remote for using it on the vision os,,, what do you think?
Fast forward to the future when you can Mirror your Apple Watch, iPad, iPhone, AND MacBook inside visionOS and people leave all of their devices plugged in and charging in a drawer, haha.
most people are using their iPhone away from the Vision Pro, the larger iPhones are as relevant as ever

Whats the purpose if you can't controll it? Like this is just tech that exists 10 years at least.
Buddy, you at least dont have to take the headset off when you have to respond to an email or text or quick notification. Etc.

Weird, are you also on vision OS 2.0? Sometimes a simple restart on both devices helps.
You need to go on ur Vision Pro in setting and airplay then enable iPhone mirroring, it’s off by default
