Cool game, unfortunately needs a revamp of the combat. Feels like blocks awkwardly trying to slide in place. And Nexon's shitty cutthroat pay-to-win is at an all time high and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Oh and new time players don't worry there's only about 20 years of content to enjoy so make sure to take your time and take it all in! Also the attendance event is about to end this month! Better fork over your cash, this stuff is never coming back! What a joke.

I think Mabi has become more of a chill game and a slower paced one; Of-cause if you have lots of spare money and an ungodly amount of free time who likes to grind in games. One of the nicer lot of people i met in games some years ago however, which is a plus.

Positives: best game ever, nothing else like it out there at all. Negatives: PAY TO WIN, 10000% inexcusable predatory model EA wishes it could get away with. you hit the nail on the head with abysmal drop rates. the game does not respect your time.

Just started playing again on live. I was mostly active on two private servers but decided I wanted to experience Mabinogi for what it is now. I remember I first started playing during my middle school days which was quite some time ago and I found some content of Mabinogi to be really hard. Nowadays on live it feels too easy? Maybe it's because I am doing the old Mabinogi content and not the new content yet, who knows. Anyhow, Mabinogi still holds a special place in my heart, especially the old content. I wish there were more people from Europe though.

I miss the old days on Mabi when a full party was needed to complete Alby or Ciar adv hardmode 😢

Mabinogi closed beta and the year following release was insane. Imo Runescape is the best MMO ever made by Mabinogi CB and Fantasy Earth Zero were on a category of their own.

The game used to be difficult with mysterious progress indicators. Now the game’s full content is in your face, easy and predictable.

The reason why this death always hit so hard, and I feel it should always be in this game is it teaches you in a good way that death is perfectly alright. It teaches you about the value of life that is stronger than death. The greatest treasure we leave behind are the memories and the contributions that made a difference. It's sad that the ones who love us will forever miss us until it's their turn, but you can't stop living because someone moves on. The biggest miss in this game is not allowing you to continue the farm as your child.

im more glad to see that nexon is atleast somewhat confident about the longevity of mabi to justify investing in this

i know they are not trying to change our characters cause some of us are attached to them but i feel like a little change to them will be better cause they still look meh while everything else looks amazing. idk

(oop, I'm a little late for Christmas!) 43:30 - Secret routes and shortcuts, like ant hell doors that need you to fill a requirement to use them or the tara SM that has the leprechauns and the tiny hole for the extra room. Minibosses at the end of each floor for multi-floor dungeons that has its own rewards. Adaptive dungeon status that changes based on the way players are clearing the dungeon. If players finished the previous floor in less than a minute, the mobs get a hilariously massive move speed bonus in the next floor and runners/defense towers start spawning between rooms that try to slow the players down. If over 80% of mobs in the previous floor were killed by magic, the next floor mobs gain a bonus resistance to magic or spawn more caster type mobs that use the magic shields. There are a lot of ways the dungeon could be set up to dynamically adjust to the player's actions and could make each run feel like it's own thing based on the hidden objectives or routes you unlocked and the variety of hidden stats or bonus spawns the mobs gain from the strategies the players used.

I still play :O, part of a fairly active guild as well. End game content is still added and challenged, and they're constantly adding new and fun stuff to play with. Currently grinding out my moonlight island, and the new battle astrology skill. I do miss the old social aspect of it, when you'd run across a circle of people sitting around a campfire haha. Also, they're working on an engine remake and screenshots look amazing.

The only game where you feel like you got isekai'd into a whole new world. I remember the mobile version of this game where your character can grow. Lol, I had a character as a kid and I went hiatus for a month or so, and when I got back my character was freaking tall.

I assume, this happened on the NA server? I was on the EU Morrighan server we had a similar situation but this problem caused the EU servers to shut down. Somehow we knew the EU servers were abandoned for a long time. We went through G1 to G12 without issues with constant updates. But then nothing for more than a year. We had hopes when we got the Shakespeare gen but a lot of our friend already left. It was during that time where everything went to hell. Like you said in your video, we had the death of NPCs. The only time we could at least talk to then was immedialty after the weekly server maintenance. but then few hours after that the hackers decided to kill the NPC again. Dunbarton became impossible to be near close because of the constant spam of meteors. Duplicated cheques with millions of Gs were dropped in towns cause the economy to crumble. About the data corruption. I might have some info about it. Apparently parts of your body are from a hidden inventory. Hackers could "remove" those part causing the corrupted data of your character next time you log in. But in our case, this would mean your character were gone forever and the support wouldn't respond to your ticket. I remember watching a video of a player that got teleported in a "sandbox" area with multiple assets from the game (dungeons, houses, stuff like that) you could see the "head" of the player missing and then having their character corrupted the next time they tried to login. If there's old friends reading this, I was Meltyna from the EU server Morrighan, one of the first Master of Thunder. Hope you're all doing well o>

Man i used to go to a friends house all the time and play this game on his computer many years ago when i was back in highschool, cant believe its still around and getting an unreal engine upgrade!!! I even had a girl i talked to on there xD I gotta get back on this game someday. Even just to see everything again. Cool to see its still around and has big player base
