As a orginal member of MHI who has stayed active on all of the versions of the MH forums this was great to put more faces to names. I met JB at a Airshow in Redding California years ago & have met Martin & the guys from Flying Mule several times at there warehouse. This brought back so many memories from our shared experiences to insider info which I had but was expanded on with their stories.

Beautiful little planes . I have a A6M5 zero and a F4U Corsair. I want a BF 109 and a Mustang next .

C-47 what an aircraft. Every airborne soldier in WW2 knows this bird well...stand up, hook up and shuffle to the door. As always salute from a soldier.

The Corgi Swordfish & Gladiators are really some of their best models! The wire rigging is so well done! The 48th scale ww1 models are likewise impressive but this tiny swordfish has always impressed me & I'm a model builder!😊

Hi Mark, apart from what you mention in regards to paint on fuselage/cowling what's up with the paint on the port side lower wing root support as on video the paint and/or the plastic support strut looks really rough? As always though, nice video and good we got this as an Op Torch. Does seem that quality has really dropped though overall but specifically if compare this model with previous Swordfish releases so seems factory not up to standard.

sorry missed the show , As you said ,No P47s especially razorbacks or P51Bs . You could also have Avro Hanson ,Oxfords, Albermarle,s Also what about the converted 2 seat P47 that Eisenhower flew in . What about B25H with the 75mm cannon in the nose ,What about a Mosquito with the experimental High ball

I've bought the new Beaufighter, and I think the tail plane is at the wrong angle. Did the first Corgi Beaufighter have this problem?

Thumbs up for a P-36 Hawk, you've got four different airforces to choose from: USAAF, RAF (they were called Mohawks), France (1940 and Vichy France) and Finland.

I bought a Corgi B-17 Sally-B from the Sally-B preservation team at Duxford 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice review. Just ordered the KLM. Unfortunately Schuco left off KLM on the upper and lower wings. Luckily I have some KLM 1:72 decals from F-DCAL and will be adding to the model. It will compliment my 1:72 Atlantic Models KLM Super G with radome nose.

I think this comment is long overdue but the 4 bladed corsair doesn't have the correct under nose intake and the exhaust patterns on 4 bladed Corsair variants differed from the 3 bladed ones...

Thanks for the video. I thought Hobby Master's photos on their archive website looked squirrelly! They've got the belly tank turned around on: Hobby Master HA5507, P-40N Kittyhawk FX-760, 112 Squadron, RAF, 1944; as well as, HA5508, where the tank is touching the ground. By the way, this model (and HA5508) can still be picked at quite a deal on eBay from a couple of sellers. Going for about half the usual fair, even compaired to other WW2 aircraft by Hobby Master.

Just got "Gremlin Teaser" to complete my collection of Stirlings.But what a shock on opening the box,what have Corgi done! Gone is the safe solid interior,replaced by what i can only say is a cheap and nasty poly box,for a premium model its rubbish.why change a good well designed interior used on all the big bombers in the range,and i have 18 B17s,all with this good design,but if this is going to be the new norm,then no more for me,i am not paying all this money for models with delicate parts to be stored in a crap unsafe interior,its not on Corgi and its not right!

The Sunderland model you're showing is different to the one on the box behind it. This one is RCAF not RAAF

Now the KLM version of Schuco is available. Very interesting is also a metal kit of a little manufacturer in Germany. He sells a modificated radar nose and new decals for the Lufthansa version to change from Super to Super Star Constellation.

Gemini made some cracking world war 2 aircraft, I've got a few of their Mustangs but not these two, I have a few Gemini Mustangs including G2RAFDDD, GALFT2007, GARAF2002, GAUSA2AAA, GAUSA2005, GAUSA2006, GAUSACCC, I do wish he undercarriage wasn't as fiddly but that's the only slight gripe.

If I was to come to the U.K in 2024 which air show has the most spectacular WW2 display? Is it Flying Legends in July and will it be at Duxford where the excellent museum is because I just read the organisers had a disagreement last time so it moved venue….. Thanks for the video it is very informative.
