Why is bro playing the 1992 version of portal
portal64 is crazy
Brilliant! This was hilarious to see some of these controllers. It reminded me of when Nintendo kept releasing different controllers and accessories for the Wii.
Speedy thing go in, speedy thing go out
I love this whole project, but I disagree with your solution.
This doesnt make any sense but also kinda does
That's amazing!!
Wow great, older brother beats younger brother on his console and his games. Youngest of four brothers here.
You gotta put the power glove head to head with the N64 glove
Fun fact for mobile users: you can simulate the 3D effect for yourself using a credit card. Watch in fullscreen. Place the card perpendicular to your phone screen, then touch your nose to the card. Then unfocus your eyes, andinstead of focusing on the card or the scren, focus on the two Marios in front of you until they become one. Tada! You can now see the 3d effect. I tested this by pausing at 7:50.
There is a downside to this: the skybox renders as INCREDIBLY far away. Do not try to look at the skybox or you WILL give yourself a headache.
The editing with the cuts to the commentary are very much like old school MTV haha. Loved it :D
I just HAVE TO say... it's an aileron roll. 😆 Eff Star Fox for cementing in the minds of millions incorrect aerobatic nomenclature. 😆
16:08 the cube
why not turn it into hoopty loopdy engine that happens to accept a portal mod/patch?
Handsome James ❤️😍
I haven’t given any thought to how it translates to video games, but water magic can clearly do cool and fun things - see the good Avatar.
Duh, Logitech gamepads are not meant for this kind of thing. Now in Dire, Dire Docks he would have destroyed you ;)
yes, but can it run crisis?
That thumbnail face is pure gold. Au!
That thumbnail is appreciated.
Great video. The entire point of gaming is to just have fun with friends and family and this captures that perfectly.
5:54 Superman started playing on my spotify as soon as I hopped in my car on the way to the grocery store today. Then I saw this video once I got home. Pretty good day.
James and The Power of Dance
Awesome video! You should try the vortex (by interAct) or a high end flight stick w/ the usb adapter!
I'am having a dificult time to understand setTimeout and setInterval to build a DDR gaming as of now but why don't you build one so we can I use our DDR pads? come on
I'm. Not entirely sure what you are asking, but there is a ddr game already for n64
@@james.lambert I mean I m currently having a difficult time developing a DDR like game in which I could use my own songs.
Superman, such a legendary song! Awesome video <3
interesting social experiment
damn yall look like wii characters
He really looks like your brother :-) Talking about weird controlls, I was always wondering how a Rouge Squadron title plays with a skateboard controller. Does it come close to feel like hackerman from Kung Fury?
oh man guitar hero controller when lol
you have a... goldfinger, to be able to play with all those controllers.
Your storytelling is getting better
Love this video. Very fun concept and super cool to see
Singing to Superman is such a vibe lol :'D I'm glad you have a brother who puts up with this nonsense, imagine getting challenged by someone who's like "I'm gonna beat you using fruit"
Thxs Lambert bros for the entertaining video 😁
Really good content, so port of games know are out of question? IF not, is it posible to port some android games on psp, like last day on earth survival ore somethig, what's needed to do it?I know you're a Nintendo guy but we never see the full potential of PSP and PSVITA, and you seem to know about consoles.
If I get excited about the right idea I may consider some other port
@@james.lambert Thanks, I really didn't think you were going to respond. I liked your Portal content on N64, it's a shame they don't let you continue. If the games you port were older, there wouldn't be any problems. For example, a port of Earth Worm Jim?
That was a fun video
love your videos man;)
Using the tony hawk board is so cool. I forgot all about those things because they used to hurt my feet.
I'll probably make a video on it alone. I actually ended up decompiling the rom for the game it was made for to figure out how to read the data
@@james.lambert I await that day anxiously
if you uploaded a video with just your brother, I probably wouldn't have noticed the difference, or until way later
Wow, this is something completely different. Cool

Well, what if we start thinking about mass? If we have a light panel with our entrance on it, and we drop it over something heavy, should it fly out proportional to just velocity, or should it be force? Not to mention the panel doesn't ever touch the object, so all the energy of the panel goes straight into the ground. I see 3 scenarios. 1: No kinetic energy applied to the object. Since the energy never touches it, and energy cannot be created, it does not move. 2: Kinetic energy based on mass AND velocity, not just velocity. A heavier object will fly out slower than the lighter object. If the object is heavier than the panel, it will fly out slower than the panel fell, and vice versa. 3: Kinetic energy based only on velocity. No matter the weight, it flies at the same speed. Either way, scenarios 2 and 3 break the laws of physics. So, either it isn't possible, or someone's getting a damn nobel prize if it happens.
you can make portals move in portal 2 with just a console command
This is physically incorrect and the only reason the demonstration works like that is because the slope has a movement corrector that anyone who knows even a little bit about how the game is coded would know about. Sorry to ruin the fun.
Is... Is that the 3ds fangame.. ?
"Chell, why do you have a small go pro head?" "didnt have any solution"
As someone who did scala every day for about 6 or so years I will agree that scala's flexibility can be a big problem with it. But it's also so so so handy when you have the need for it. For example, one of the database libraries that was widely in use was called Slick, which converted operations on your database into the same sort of calls you'd do with collections, so you would write out stuff like DBTable.filter(_.==="someid") or similar and it was neat. But like all ORM type things it was always a leaky abstraction and the more advanced things you'd have to do and debugging the compilation errors from those were nightmarish and so opaque due to the incredible complexity of having a completely type safe representation of the SQL queries. Amazing stuff, but like you said, programmers like puzzles. I stuck with a simpler sql library named anorm after getting tired of all that and just wrote plain sql and row parser/deserializers with it and my life was better for it. On the flip side, my job involved writing a lot of processing of files in xml, json and the like. And being able to create implicit classes to monkeypatch Strings so that I could write out rules like When("somestring") replaceAll ("foo") exceptIf ( matches("bar") or matches("boz")) out for a whole bunch of things that spoke and read in the same way as the domain experts giving me the rules in the first place was absolutely amazing and so much easier to extend and maintain then some huge list of strings in a map and having to read a bunch of unrelated methods or similar in the code. Scala was absolutely perfect for creating DSLs like that and I love it a lot, tons of fun and super handy having the right tool for the right job.
New to your channel here. I'm mainly a MES dev but for some reason old game dev fascinates me. These videos are very easy to digest and understand. Your port is very cool.
