DIY Diesel
Добавлен 6 сен 2014
My Channel DIY Diesel is designed around Positivity, Encouragement, and Challenging Yourself. We mainly focus on Duramax Diesels, but I have knowledge on all 3 major brands. I take pride in all the products I use, and install on the trucks I have. I also do product, and tool reviews as well.
In my videos, I talk about important things to do & NOT to do with your Duramax, and what products I have found to be the best. Along with what products may fit your budget, and still give you the quality you seek!
I take pride in Family First! I am a blessed husband & father. I am a US Army Veteran, and am very thankful to have served this great country! I will do my absolute best to keep my content consistent for everyone, and always looking to improve your experience following the channel.

This guy is great
I guess I'm just unlucky, ive cut 2 orings putting that coolant pipe back in
Did you have to leave the gasket in sun before wraping it around window ? How long did it take to wrap around im having tough time getting it to hold
That’s a total BS on Chevy part that emergency brake cable. I made mine adjustable back at the leaf spring engineers don’t have to do it so they don’t care now it’s a half hour job instead of having a heart attack trying to get those two together 😁
I know a guy that one of the pistons seized up couldn't get freed up. He had it about 4months harbor freight said sorry about your luck. 90day warrantee
No
Did you ever finish doing the rockers and cab corners?
Sorry to hear about Zeus.
Hold on! Don’t leave the end of that hose you ran down there open? You’re not worried it will suck air into the motor?
Nobody uses a stud instalation/removal tool? Or jam nut it and use a wrench? Pliers are a messy solution when dedicated tools exist
Very well detailed video
Where did you get the pully put onner
Channel locks
Do you have to loosen the trans dip stick nut? I unbolted my bands but not the trans dipstick one and the downpipe will not move
Ram 3500 Cummins HO on CAT scale has like 5500 lbs on the front axle, for price & quality Daytona 4 ton is the way to go
And the myth is ? You literally said nothing and I can't understand half of it.
Purple
What other choice do we have? I would have gladly spent $1k but they don't make a box for a 94 K1500
Did you ever find the best set?
just wondering why my truck has 534000 km. and have no problems what so ever all original just rusting out a bit. it’s an lbz. no deletes
i own 2006 chev 3500 lbz 537000 km and have no problems what so ever the truck is original everything. bit of rust. just wondering why i don’t have any problems. everything running fine. just curious.
Super painful to watch him not get to the point or ramble on and on
Hey brother I am hoping you have a sticker of your design I love that DIY Diesel with the cylinders design
I personally like a flex head ratchet over a swivel head. The swivel head feels more unstable and tries to flop off the socket sometimes where a flex doesn’t. The flex feels like you can get better torque when at an angle. The swivel does have the advantage of being able to use it like a spinner once you break it loose if you have the room. So they both are good in their own way.
75 psh…
115 - 125
250 lb/feet
“Pp” lol
Why did you show fuel filter replacement when I ask for AIR FILTER
Is it ok on a stock 2008?
Do not leave those kind of units running without remaining on the trigger. That’ll kill your pump, too. The water running through the pump is what keeps it cool
Power probes are very dangerous if you don’t what you’re doing a test light and a muti meter is all you need and you can’t figure them out you don’t need doing diags or electrical work
I really like the Black one 🖤
Pls pin me for me to be your new subscriber
Tires on is crazy
I’m sorry, my M12 platform is my absolute favorite, but the Ryobi One+ 18v battery topper soldering iron is much much better. Temperature control, a pen style iron with a long cord. It’s a much nicer form factor than the M12, which I hate to admit, but since I picked up the Ryobi I don’t really touch my M12 iron. Sad but true.
is it mandatory to cover the radiator?
Soooo... Did you ever adjust the pedal? I took a zip tie and tied the the "spring lever" down, pulled as much cable as i could and clamped it so i had plenty of slack to get that junction connected.
Thank you for your service. And thank you for this vid. Very helpful.
Or I can buy the harborfreight flare nut wrenches and have enough money left over to buy a new truck😂
Hey brother I’m looking to get a great box for my lb7 did you recommend the blue head ?
What ton jack did you get?
Spicer is the brand to go with? What about those 4 plastic washers looks weak.
Link?
This saved me from a lot of headaches
drain plug and an external filter. what a concept. wish the transmission on my damn dodge was designed like this. instead i have to drop the entire oil pan out with up to 10 quarts of fluid still in it just to get to the filters.
man i clicked your damn link for the up pipe and ordered it etc and it was for the driver side guess i shoulda double checked but i assumed it was the passenger side one cause thats the one you changed=/
I seriously hate that dammn fan shroud and want to leave it off but i dont wanna lessen the cooling ability or have it affect air conditioner cooling or intercooler functioning.? Just wanted your opinion and what you guys do on your personal trucks. Mine is very similar to a LBZ platform but is 08 LMM
Wanted to ask you what you thought about fan shroud being deleted i think my truck comes up on temp quicker w it removed but hasnt creeped past 210 F. Yet in warm temps 60F. - 80F. Outside temps
Hey did u ever end up leaving the fan shroud off on the paperweight duramax? Wanted to ask if u moticed any better cooling w it in place. I have 08 LMM duramax and wanted to keep mine off after my waterpump job. What is your input on the matter? Notice any difference? North Maine Steve
