I've tried vermintide and was just godawful at it. Since then I've actually gotten really good at darktide and I can see these strategies totally overlap for both games. I think it's time to give it another shot!

As a biased huntsman main I do think he's underrated. People generally misuse him IMO. Bring some weapon-> try to headshot everything -> fail -> quit. The irony of HM is that he has strong builds which demphasize headshots so much that you can put out great damage all match just by spamming tons of bodyshots, which is highly counterintuitive given the design of the class. Aiming for the body is faster and much more reliable and has very good breakpoints (handgun) or time-to-kill (repeater). Manbow is a little different in that it does like to have headshots, but it has other advantages. Namely you become much harder to pressure with the short reload and you have good damage vs all enemy types. Another thing I'd list as a positive is that he has excellent melee options which have great synergy with thp stagger talent, and the stealth ult which is amazing for clutching. I dig your slayer placement though, I think he's also underrated generally. He is insane survivability and mobility.

The stigma isnt around the crank gun, its around the infinite bombs that he makes into both types simultaneously THAT is what makes it so the rest of the team doesnt have to do anything

After a lot of hours I think basically the best recipe for success is just practice on as high difficulty as you feel comfortable. The main thing is to get the dodge/push/block usage as a bare minimum to survive legend and above, then it's just building gamesense and ability to deal with threats under pressure. All the basic combat stuff should fade to automatic and then your mind is on what specials just spawned or the whereabouts of your team, item usage etc.

7: 20 a character specific one. As Outcast Engineer Bardin save purple potions for Hordes, it practically doubles how long you can shoot your gun for or if your using the 3 barreled variant save it for monsters, large numbers of Elites, etc., you get a ton more value out of Purples then any other potion simply because of how your skill works, also you can make your bombs work as both types and I highly reccomend that passive as you get two bombs that can instantly clear a chunk of a horde and then passively damage the rest of it, or that can be tossed at monsters to deal damage to them. (my build uses the 3-barreled gattling to get free Critical Hits on Trollhammers that don't consume ammo because of a passive on the Trollammer itself making me effectively completely ammo independant it works with the other two gattlings just the 3-barreled one is for consistency so Horde duty is handled by bombs when avalible and Cog Hammer because I still want to hurt Elites well if I have to melee them and the CH is a decent All-Rounder weapon like Kerillian's Glaive)

I just came back after not having played since engineer release and I'm having the absolute blast in the chaos wastes, such a fun mode where you can do some ridiculous builds

40-60 fps on 2k resolution using a 3080? I have a 4070 which from my limited knowledge it should be equivalent, but the 4000 Nvidia series have the framegeneration option... so I have about 150 max settings on average, never goes below 100. It might be a CPU bottleneck from your side? Or try different settings from the Performance tab, mine has Nvidia DLSS with Quality ON. As for the game, it fails to retain my attention for more than a week, the weapon system is the biggest downside + stuff like not being able to create a solo lobby or choose any mission you want it's just a big dissapointment, those features should have been in the game from day 1, but for some reason they continue to delay... I would play Vermintide 2 over Darktide any day of the week.

ITS A BIG FCKING YES! Game is 100 times way better due to the amount of quality content in it compared to Darktide which is much pricier but isn't even half close to what verminitide 2 delivers.

Cool video but there's a few things that seem down right wrong - "victors bounty hunter doesn't provide much support" dude what? A constant barriage of ranged bullets, great anti tank, constant critical hits someone to take out enemies that group you isn't smth you'd want on your team? - I love having grail knight on my team but he isn't that strong. Blessed blade is amazing for high dmg in a short period of time but it's the same as a few good headshots with a well built skill tree just without the range. His buffs he gives the team are the same as cheap weapon property rerolls and overall are a small qol. He has another small passive that's just 10% more movement speed. Amazing melee dmg but no range and the skill tree relies heavily on stagger. Prob is S tier especially from the QoL support to the team and grimiore passive healing but ppl keep overhyping this sub class just cuz it has a lot of stuff - sienas unchained sub class you have super vague info and didn't mention the fire dot or the differsnr crowd control methods with all her wands. Her skill tree also has so much build potential for melee dmg and spell casting and all of this gets stronger with artifacts if you invest in curse resistance - don't care if the foot knight is your favorite stop glazing a sub class with passives as weak as "+5 crit chance" and "10% attk speed for 6 seconds if you hit 3 enemies". The skills tree relies heavily on on how many enemies you hit, stagger and being up close. imo very cool sub class in terms of builds and buffing your team but also very average imo. Sort of like a jack of trades sorta sub class as my friend says. He does a lot of different things but doesn't specialize into one thing to the point where it's crazy op and S class material - the shade sub class review is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. "It's hard to get behind enemies in this game without dying" dude you're PHASING THROUGH THEM AND IN STEALTH SO THEY WONR ATTACK YOU. The crowd control is fine also since there's the glaeve and duel daggers and the same stagger on hit and more dmg to staggered foes that Kruger has, literally the ability the guy in this video was hard glazing. The weapons even tell you it has good sweeping ffs. For anyone actually interested in investing time into this sub class the only issue is the low armor break if you're using any other weapon then the glaeve so you gotta dodge to hit their side of back, use a glaeve or heavy attack And I've gotten bored of ranting. Hope this vid doesn't discourage ppl from playing how they want. Tier lists are a plague of opinionated decisions and idiots who don't even read the wiki which helps cuz stuff like the witch hunter captain has a hidden 25% headshot dmg. Some builds are unfortunately more useful in the majority of scenarios but this video is way off

I recommending binding Jump and Dodge separately. They are defaulted to be both on the space key. I have Shift for dodge and Space for jump.

Billhook really benefits from cast away, since you can push a lot more, with the eternal guard passive its more fesabile to spam push attack light against trash, but with elites it makes it hard, billhook is the most consistent and highest utility, it can stagger anything other than bosses and lords on deathwish, in a team setting on cata 3 its freaking amazing, it gives room for your elite killer on your team, and has high base armor damage, so if you miss the headshot, you can do decent damage on the body

What's the purpose of unchained overcharge other than killing me

the highest damage potential is rapier with a fully charged headshot crit, though its rng dependant, but if you get one on a chaos warrior, the 2nd fully charge will finish him off usually, if not, flense will

Watching this video after the balance patch its crazy to see how much the outcast has leveled up. Playing him with Hammer, Troll-Hammer and Bomb-Build you can obliterate Hordes, Specials and Bosses. One of the best damage dealers at the moment imo. Also great video, just discovered you channel🙏

I watched this to see if the DLC careers were worth buying. It seems the base game careers are just as good, if not, better.

Really appreciate this video. As someone with 2.7K hours in this game, I recently got back into it. The Combat and mechanics are truly unmatched, there's always something more to master in this game. The community is one of the best I've ever seen in a game. Hoping it stays active for years more to come!

the "does this look fun to you?" question, I don't think new players will be able to do what you did in the video even if they played for a month or two. New player experience is really lacking when I tried it. I am really interested in playing but its not worth the grind. Cool video though.

I'll probably catch a lot of flack for this but I do wish you could play harder difficulties without friendly fire damage turned-on. I just want to go in gunz-a-blazin on those harder modes without worrying about damaging my crew. Not saying I hate melee either, love the melee in this game especially after getting my Handmaiden to 30 learning how to block/dodge like a good player should lol.

Ngl wish there was an opposite of this, where you can play as listed: Chaos Cultist - Chaos Warrior - Chaos Knight - Rot Knight [empire tree] Savage Orc - Orc big’un - Black Ork - Orc shaman [dwarf tree] Clan Rat - Assassin Rat - Gatling Rat - Storm Skaven [like the elf tree] Skeleton warrior - grave guard - Thrall - Vampire [witch hunter tree] Dark elf spear - dark elf hag - dark elf knight(cold one riders dismounted) - dark elf beast master [fire wizard tree] Each of these[maybe not all] I wish could be implemented so ppl could play on the opposite side, though we have the PvP aspect I just feel if players didn’t just have to play as JUST good aligned they could also play evil of the chaos gods/other factions [or add other forms of chosen of the other 3 chaos gods]

I have 4791 hours in this game please send help. I love it so much and i'm sad that there are no other games like it except for Darktide and PARTIALLY Deep Rock Galactic.

6:51 The way I cure this line of thinking is with the trinket effect: “Gain all potion effects on use but 50% of the duration is cut”. One thing I hate about picking up all those potions is what you mentioned here but with this trinket it means I have a potion for every situation. If I’m low, high or just need a quick boost to get my career skill back. That trinket effects cures my “I need to wait for the right moment to use my potion” to “I have a potion for every situation” while it’s not the best. It helps alot in situations where I feel I may not get the best out of a speed or strength potion.

If you use numberic UI then you go to game setting > gameplay > turn off "Detail UI", so no more duplicate health number, skill cooldown time or ammo counter

I know video is 1y old but for the point about dual hammer strenght over Cog isn't just speed. It's number and longer effective dodge and access to move tech to run faster. The main sell point for Cog is it's heavy atk dmg who melt boss and CW. So, If you choose torpedo, 1h hammer, dual hammer are good to compensate the lack of mobility to better deal with special and horde clearing (don't wast torpedo on horde plz). If you go with other ranged choice, then Cog/2h Hammer are better choice thx to the amazing armor piercing they give to deal with elite

Why would you buy this over Darktide? More importantly if you're okay with older games, why would you buy this over L4D2?

He's not a boss killer and neither that good of a horde killer, he's only good because of the buffs and crits he grants to the team and to himself.

i love left 4 dead and still play it on and off to this day but i cannot get into vermintide or darktide. i just get bored with them after a few hours but never have that feeling with lfd2. shame cause i love warhammer.
