Speed Test: Stihl 201 vs Milwaukee Top Handle Chainsaw
These two top handle saws are considered competitors. The Stihl MS201TC has long been one of the favorite top handle saws for tree climbers especially for removals, while Milwaukee is just getting into the game in the past couple of years with this new battery dependent torque monster. Let's see how they cut side by side in a nasty old seasoned oak log!

You Need THIS to Make Onsite Chainsaw Sharpening Easier
Просмотров 233Месяц назад
One of the most frustrating tasks in wood cutting is sharpening a chainsaw when there is no bench vise available. You're stuck sitting on the ground or perching the saw up on a truck bed and attempting to brace it with your body while sharpening. This is an awkward situation and I've cut myself on the chain many times trying to do this. I'm here to share this easy solution with you: the stump v...
Eliminating a MASSIVE Poison Ivy Tree
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.Месяц назад
This tree was a major hazard due to having extensive dead limbs throughout the upper canopy. I went ahead and took care of the felling but someone else will have to handle the poison ivy infested wood after this! The falling process was fairly simple: the tree already had a good lean in the correct direction of fall. I just had to cut a clean notch and try to complete the task without getting t...
Do THIS So Your Chainsaw Starts Easily in the Spring
Просмотров 574Месяц назад
Whether tree service professional, woodcutter, homeowner, or farmer, it makes sense to use the best possible fuel source. If you use ordinary gasoline from the gas station you could have carburetor troubles that cause down time in the spring when you need your equipment the most! In this video, I discuss a few possible options that could prevent ethanol damage on your chainsaws and also demonst...
What Damaged the Saw Chain? The Definitive Guide to Dull Chainsaw Assessment
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.Месяц назад
Our goal in this video is to provide the in-depth answers on damaged saw chain. With the proper inspection you can easily tell whether the chain struck dirt, metal, or rocks/concrete. Don't worry guys, nobody was harmed in the making of this video- this skit was just a very aggressive version of the conversation I've had with new workers many times.
Speed Test: Fastest Professional Chain for Tree Work(.325 pitch)
Просмотров 12 тыс.Месяц назад
In this video I am comparing the fastest cutting .325 chain of three different brands. Stihl RS chain with the yellow link, Husqvarna X-Cut chain, and Oregon LGX. Check out the side by side speed comparison as I reveal which brand is truly superior and why. I also explain minor engineering differences between the three types of chain.
Bobcat MT(Mini-Tank)100: Interior Demolition Capabilities
Просмотров 883Месяц назад
As part of my work as a tree service owner I've had to do work on my home and property that tested the utmost limits of my Bobcat MT100. In this case I was removing concrete and dismantling a roof that was being replaced. I was torn at the beginning between a mini skid steer and a yard tractor, and there are many who are deciding between this and an articulating loader. But at the end of the da...

Red and green thing, and that other thing 😳
This very thorough thank you for the video
The first 50 hour oil change is important because it’s your break-in period & there will be metal in the oil & plugging the filter. Did you really skip it & just wait until 100? lol. If you undo the thumb screw enough the door should clear the bolts but yeah they should have done a better job on that.
Thanks for the quick, yet thorough video of your process! I made it to the point of removing the pump’s hex bolt before watching your vid and had every thought and comment y’all had along the way. I even put the heat shield on backwards! Haha Thanks again, all the best!
Worked like a charm. A little safer to open the side panel and use something other than your hand to push it.
3120 is absolutely the best new modern saw that can be used for Big stuff the orange and white 88 series don't even come close I run a 72 and 84 inch bar on mine with absolutely no problems and no modifications
How wide does it trench?
Nice instructional video. Keep'em coming :) As a dutchman myself, I'm very interested where the name dutchman comes from and what it refers too (not totally clear to me)? Just the notch that shouldn't be there? Which is also called a bypass? Or is it a specific way of cutting? Kind of curious.
Koliko prais koliko je cijena
What are you doing when the auxiliary is really tough to get in for the grappler?
Have you had a chance to try it yet? Someone has to try it and post on RUclips.
Your videos are perfect!
just stay away from the autotune ones and youll be good lol. as long as you can adjust a carb that is
This was not explained, but .2 to 2 ohms is a good reading. Any high resistance or OL reading indicates a bad glow plug.
No safety pants?
does not look like it has the power it needs. will rent one and try it, before buying one. thanks
What oil do you use and at what ratio? 50-1 is what is called for. Run all newish saws at 40-1, will never fail!!! Non Ethanol gas for all OPI. Ethanol will destroy your OPI it sucks up water from the air.
Excellent video
Husky all the way , if you look after them, they ll look after you .
Im a smaller guy at around 5'8 but Im not actually small. Im stocky and 190lbs, made the mistake of getting one of those fancy lightweight new tech saddles and hate it. It pinches my jewels and cuts circulation to my legs. Also a pain to take off, I need to have it super tight Gonna invest in one of these soon. The extra padding and bulkier build seems more comfortable
Now that's "Getn' After IT!" These tools have so many applications, granted, I do not have a grinder for the MT100, I probably would've either made a ramp for my grinder or come down from the top outside. Thanks for sharing, hope you are doing well brother! May 2025 be a great year fro you and your family.
Is there that much difference between mb1 and mb2.0 ? I am thinking about buying one. 2.0 seems more bulkier i want to be able to do removal confortably but i want to know if one is more agile than the other one
A little tip. There is only one a in husqvarna and it's not after the q
need a diverter valve for the 2 different pressures in the system
99% of the pros you see on social media cutting trees is using a Stihl, end of story
You should keep your saws indoors. I have over a dozen Huskies, never needed to go to a dealer. Most spares are available online, including Bars and Chain rolls.
I have had issues and they are VERY well documented. I use all of the brands. I know you are frustrated but this is more of a rant than it is showing and explaining what is going on. You then said "I hope this helps you." I think that some more information and demonstrations would be good. Please understand where I am coming from. I made a video very similar to this at one point. You wanna know what actually seemingly fixed my 562XP mark i? I believe the aftermarket muffler from Steadfast did it. My saw was in the shop for weeks and weeks, Husqvarna replaced the carb.... etc etc. It would still be intermittent from heat. You are going to have autoTune/Mtronic on your new STIHL saws as well. Computer Carbs are truly my favorite. Good luck!
Where I live, the husky dealer is the best, excellent service/repairs and the stihl place is very bad,, for this reason I run Husqvarna
My Dream Saw Husqvarna 3120xp 😇😀😮
Nothing replaces that 2 stroke sound and smell
Maintain your tools !!!!!!! They look like shit😭
That pipe on the driver's side spring is pointless if the bed would to fall down it will just push that pipe down you better be careful when working alone
That's what you get for having someone else working on your truck if you want something done right do it yourself
Thank you this video was very helpful !
I have on my Milwaukee rear handle the $37 16” Oregon 56 Drive Links, 3/8" Pitch, .050" Gauge, Low Vibration (27857) for mine. Amazon sells the kit, others did this as well in the comments. The 0.045 OEM pinches/ binds up more often. You can even size down to a 14” bar 0.050 chain as well. I only use my electric say for camping and pruning the larger branches with 6,8,12 batteries because they are 21700 cells vs the 18650.
Harbor Freight battery saw is better.
Do better.
Thank you I'll get right on that
Stay home! Bet you have no PPE on either. Get some training or hire a pro.
Thanks for the good advice.
The chain? No sir. Go get a freaking 2-stroke chainsaw and call it a day.
Maybe we should go back to hand saws and axes. I'm gonna ride a horse to my next job
Maybe we should hand crank drilling holes lol
I run that mikwaukee commercially, arguably the beat electric top handle on the market
It's got great torque. I really want better chain options, and maybe a speed adjustment or alternative sprocket to get faster chain speed.
Theres several ways to avoid that
I know. It even occurred to me that a plunge cut would be good and then I thought nah that's a lot of extra for no reason. But it would have been better
Yeah, you gotta plunge those.
I even thought about having cameras set up for this but I said to myself why? But that would have been cool footage
Junk
Easy eddy for President
I'm turning 35 soon so I'd be qualified
I think the way of the dealership parts counter is going away kicking and screaming and we are experiencing the end result. order yer husky parts online and get em quick
That little saw caught that
Yes
Stihl and Echo for trees
I'll be trying this out for pruning and removals in a few months. I'll let you guys know if it's any good.
Could you try any harder to get free equipment? Sounds like that is all you're after, because mil!ions of people would disagree with you.
Sounds like you didn't watch the whole video
I'm impressed! 👍
Me too. I'd like to see how hard the electric can really be pushed.
I'm surprised! is the electric running .043/.325? what about the Stihl?
Yes that's correct, it's an odd size, .325 low profile chain .043. Stihl is running standard 3/8 micro full chisel non safety.
@@easyeddystrees we run the 3.25/.043 at work on the 201 and t540. I think it's a huge improvement over 3/8 lopro.
@@vonmurd3r I guess I'll give it a chance. It's not like I have a choice.
@@easyeddystrees Are you cutting a lot of ash? You'll really see the difference in that stuff.
