Whats the difference between the x305 and x705?

I’m a tad late to this video, but I am wondering something. My ‘23 3 has the same sound system, and I have ordered dual kicker 10in Comp-Rs, with a 2000W mono amp. Am I able to plug the new amp into the OEM kne and run it from there? I watched the video entirely, but I don’t remember seeing it, although I could have missed it.

Any word on this getting cancelled for a newer model?

Can I use these speakers in my car without amplifier and woofer tweeter. How does that fare??

Hello We disconnected the battery to work on car. New battery in and the head unit powers on. Pairs up. Does everything it should… except make noise. Not in tuner or BTA or anything. No sound. I can hear it send signal to speakers when it powers up. Please Advise Thanks

Mine distorts at 17-18 when using bluetooth... I turned down the base and media expander on 2, it's marginally better. Time for a real amp. I don't need it crazy loud, just clean clear music....

Thank you for this video, I have one in my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4X4 4.7 V8, alpine type R speakers, Alpine 110 x4 amp, Rockford Fosgate 1200 subwoofer amplifier, JBL Basehub Pro Stadium 11 inch spare tire subwoofer. My brother and I will be tuning my system now. It's a very informative video, thank you.

Recently bought 2015 Sierra that has an alpine stereo similar to these. Not positive which model it is. However most of my options on the screen are grayed out even the setting is so I can’t even press them to try and do anything. Only thing that works is CarPlay but on with my phone plugged in. TYIA

I figured it was a key holder as soon as I looked at it! Personally I use it to hold my lighter because my key fob is on a carabiner attached to my belt loop. I also have a tube that holds my “tobacco” and it fits snug!

Are alpines better than kenwood, always had pioneer previously. Have the tacoma truck, my jvc lost antenna. Saw it disconnected as I am removing an old remote start/alarms that truck dies every 2nd crank. Thanks for your assistance

I have a Nissan that has rear deck 6x9 speakers hooked up to a factory amplifier. When I had my new 10.1" Android double DIN touchscreen head unit, amplifier, and subwoofer professionally installed the rear speakers were not hooked up. I bought a second amplifier and cut the factory 6x9 wires to tap into the speakers and bypass the factory amp. One speaker has yellow and blue wires and the other has brown and red. We all know that red is positive, but I needed to be certain that this is so in this case. So I used your method and was able to figure out the polarity of each speaker. For anyone with Nissan rear deck 6x9 speakers here's the polarity: Brown: Negative Red: Positive Blue: Negative Yellow: Positive Your RUclips video prevented me from damaging my car's audio equipment. So you know that I had to hit those Like and Subscribe buttons. I wish you the best of luck with your RUclips channel. 😁

This head unit sounds perfect. I have been using Sony from the 2009 range I felt the sound quality was nice then. I'm hoping this will be an upgrade over them models. It's hard to find out which head unit has the best sound quality on its own. I use to love the sound of nakamichi I am hoping this can match that. I want the best because I only change stuff rarely after getting my genesis setup in from 2002. I didn't like the big thick screen of the 9500. This looks perfect. Unlike uconnect head units which has a SIM card built in, the alpine does not which is so dumb considering one of the features of Sirius 360L requires WiFi for streaming. Of course you can use your phone as a hotspot every time you get in the car😢

My auto brightness is not working, is there any fix for that?

Maybe my input is short sighted as I'm just a hobbyist but these higher end HUs need optical outs on them so you can shoot a digital signal directly to your (DSP). Having to run test tones and scoping the signal before sending it to your DSP when you can just send it a digitally seems archaic to me. My 2 cents.

First time watcher. Found this video researching Sony headunits. I had a Sony Xav-5600 in a vehicle I recently sold and was looking for a replacement for a new vehicle. I think the 9000Es is the one I will try thanks to you. This might be one of the single best, realist, heartfelt pieces of RUclips content I have seen. From one Gen x'er to another, I agree the music and life experiences of the late 90's was the best. Every album I relisten to brings back so many memories. Thank you!

At what volume would you set the gains??? It seems like it doesnt go near 5 volts till you're close to max volume
