Exploring LONG REEF on Sydney’s Northern Beaches
Fantastic well done, i walked it few years ago... Flinders are beautiful.
All the best with your second lap. Perhaps you should reduce filming and just enjoy the trip
Thanks :) My thoughts exactly.
Do you need to book all these campsites
Yes, If I remember correctly you just book the days you'll be camping and then can move around and stay at any of the Yorke Campsites.
Great video Tam! Hopefully you continue to make more of them 😊
Thank you! Yes, I hope to get back into it. Fingers crossed I can figure out how to balance the workload while living and working on the road 🤞
Are you still making videos???
I really feel you! don't give up! Really nice video! New subscriber!
Thanks :) I appreciate it. I haven't given up on Vanlife. Just trying to figure out how to keep the content creation going while I travel. Hopefully find a healthy balance this year.
👏👏👏
What a beautifully made video. SOOOO want to go there now. Especially as it’s out of Melbourne!🤣
Thanks for watching :) Yeah, this place has to be on the 'must see' Aussie travel list. One of my favourites.
Amazing footage!
Thank you!
Wow! Great tip & so simple too. Thank you 😃👍
Thanks! Hope it helps :)

Thank you so much! Happy New Year.
dont give up. i like ur content.
Thank you 🥰
Cool 😃👍
so awesome!!
Wonderful ❤Your videos are very nice ❤❤but your videos are not proper SEO. If the videos are properly SEO, organic views and subscriptions will come to the channel. you are trying so hard RUclips is the biggest platform in the world. It is very difficult to succeed alone in this platform. You need a marketer to help you. I can help you if you want. Are you interested?
Great video! I commented on Facebook so I won't say much apart from great video and I hope you continue with your RUclips channel! All the best
Thanks for following. Funny how we can set off down the same path and experience it in a completely different way. Sounds like you had a great end to your lap though :)
Have enjoyed your channel since the beginning. Enjoy your second lap!
Thanks so much for watching :)
It took me a while to realize, the life I currently have with a full time normal job (not photography related) works well, even though it means I can't be out traveling as much as various other creators making content for social media. I did dabble in selling photos for a while, but I gave it up because it's just not worth the effort in my case. It killed my enthusiasm for photography more often than not. I can understand your frustration and the challenges that comes with constantly traveling AND feeling like you're forced to create something...anything...all the time, for someone else. These days, I don't have that worry. I shoot when I want and what I want and sometimes, nothing at all...for days or weeks. Nothing meaningful anyway. I didn't like the feeling of being forced or feeling compelled to shoot and post something. Some might just call me lazy and not ambitious. I would say I'm realistic and I want to enjoy my life. I'll do my normal job, which I know well and am good at (which means it's low stress and it pays really well too)...and when it comes time for vacation/trips, I'll shoot for myself and post something when and if I feel like it. That's freedom, to me. Sure, sometimes I envy people and they places they go to shoot (when I see them on youtube going here and there), but I have to remind myself, most of those people may not be as happy doing what they're doing. The important thing is, do what makes you truly happy (and hopefully that lines up with whoever else might be in your life too - I mean 'you' in general - because if you're with someone, they need to be happy too).
I like your 'freedom'. Some people have to do the things they thought they wanted first to realise it's not what they wanted after all. Sounds like you've come to that realisation all on your own. I like what you said about shooting when and what you want and sometimes nothing at all - I hope I can get to that place one day. I'm sure I'll enjoy my travels (and photography) a whole lot more. Thanks for your comment :)
@@vanlifeshots I am definitely looking forward to retirement someday, when I will have more time just to roam around and not feel like I have to be anywhere else at a certain time. That’s one of the disadvantages of having a normal job/schedule like I have now, I admit. I know everyone has different goals and dreams. What feels fine to me may feel like torture to someone else. I’m fortunate to have a job at a company that’s easy to work for, so I have some freedom in that sense to. As long as I get my work down, all is well. They let me be myself and there’s no pressure. I’m very anxious for retirement though. I want to travel even more and of course make more photos, but I have a feeling my focus will be more on enjoying the experiences of seeing new places and people. Anyway, don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll find the balance that works for you. You’re already speaking about it out loud/in public, so you’re well on your way. Don’t let it bother you too much in the meantime. It’ll work out. 😊
Sorry. One more thing. Regarding living online or maybe living FOR the online community, this is one of the big reasons I left most of social media. I don't even post anything on Instagram. I have a website and that's where I upload all my photos now and whoever finds it, finds it. When I posted photos to other platforms, it felt like what you mentioned. I felt like I had to have SOMETHING to post, even if I didn't feel like it. Now that I've left almost every social media platform (I don't consider RUclips to be a traditional SM platform), I feel a lot more free and absolutely no pressure to post anything, even on my own site. I realize some people want to make photography and that lifestyle their way or life and their primary source of income, but if you ask me, it's much more difficult to do that today with all the competition. This is why I'm totally content to keep my regular job and accept that I have a limited amount of vacation time each year (though, about 6 or 7 seeks of vacation is not bad at all! - that's what I get). There's a nice feeling of security in having a steady job that pays well also. I don't mean to discourage anyone, BUT I would always recommend to people that they keep things in perspective and accept the risks if they truly want to go after a photography career as their own income. I think weddings and portrait photography would be the easiest to get into and earn money and maybe travel photography might be one of the more difficult ones to profit from. @@vanlifeshots
No posting to social media actually sounds very freeing. I guess everyone has their own priorities and focus with how they promote their creativity. We'll see where the next year takes me with that :)
Good luck in the future. @@vanlifeshots
Lovely and a little mysterious.
3:12 I'm definitely guilty of that. I'm hoping to correct that when I retire so that I don't feel like I MUST be somewhere else soon (back home to work, etc). Yellowstone National Park is a good example. I've been there twice and while I can say I've seen it, I mostly saw it via looking around to frame a photo before I ran out of time and had to move on to the next spot to see. Now I think I understand those people I see sitting on the benches as I walk by. Maybe they're soaking it in instead of rushing on to the next spot...
nice area
