I don't own the omnibus. I own the individual TPB collections of Morrison's Doom Patrol run. I am a big fan of this series. I re-read the Morrison run in 2018 again and I loved it even more. The absurdist humor really worked for me and concepts like The Brotherhood of Dada were incredibly imaginative. Richard Case's art measures up to Morrison's out there concepts. His work on The Painting That Ate Paris was a highlight. I also liked Morrison's take on the Military Industrial Complex and the Pentagon. I don't like everything Morrison has written, but his Doom Patrol is very special.

Imagine if dc made their version and it they would named the superior foes of batman 😅

This comic not only predated Teriminator (evil robots take control in the future and protagonist travels back in time to stop it), but also the premise of the TV show Quantum Leap (protagonist travels back in time by switching bodies with someone in the past, and has to accomplish a mission in order to leave that timeline and "leap" out of that person's body).

Dazzler has always been a mainline x-men character to me because my introduction to the team was the obscure computer game “x-men: madness in murderworld,” which took its lineup from pryde of the x-men. So for me, she’s always been up there with Storm, Wolverine, cyclops, etc.

Do you think you need to have read Ta-Nehisi Coates Black Panther run prior to reading this omnibus? Or are they unrelated?

I'm an 80's baby. Wanted to clarify that yes there is an episode of the 90's cartoon season 2 called,"Longshot". It's ok but I don't think it does him justice. I love Longshot. His luck ability is definitely similar to Domino but it also reminds me of Bullseye too. His agility reminds me of Spider man. Just a well rounded super hero. Plus he ends up with one of one of my favorite female heroes Dazzler. I always thought she was super sexy!

I had just started reading Marvel Comics when this came out. F F i've read for some time, X-Men was new to me, but i became a big fan because of this. It's still the best comic story to this day. The best fight was with wolverine & the Thing ( "sweet dreams, bub"). The artwork is also some of the best as well (Jon Bogdanove penciler, Terry Austin inker). A very good review.

I absolutely love Magik and her story has helped me process so much in my own life. She is such an underrated sorceress and what a potent story of overcoming and living with trauma, abuse, living through and finding balance with the light and dark, the parts that were taken away so young to grow and let it be a part of your story and your make-up. Her armor and her conquering and consistently battling her demons is a literal embodiment of living with PTSD and surviving abuse, how that darkness can chip away at your light but ultimately becomes something that is your a part of you and your armor and how you come to survive, and therefore is a STRENGTH. I love this character.

I wouldn't mind his abilities in this economy that way I can hold Multiple Jobs

Not one of my top favorite X-Men characters (only because there are SO many) but I really do like her a lot. Hope DeMayo did well by her. I heard Emma's fans gave him an earful so I hope he reconsidered how to use her before he got fired from Xmen 97 and that he will keep that in mind if he is allowed to come back to the show.

I have the entire Dazzler series from the 80's along with her graphic novel and can't wait for her new solo.

I’ve read somewhere where Beau had to explain that he does not hate Emma’s character or that he’s opposed to the Emma and Cyclops relationship. He said he’s not writing her off completely and I have a feeling she’ll have a bigger role to play after the tragedy in Genosha. So I really do think that we will see her more in Season 2 in X-Men 97. As of today we don’t know Jean’s status whether she’s dead or alive by the Finale and if she dies Emma might show up in the picture by Season 2 and I honestly would love to see that.

Xmen fancast for Emma frost is Emma roberts shes such an iconic actor and would fit the role

I want Marvel Studios to do Ema Frost justice. Her appearance and portrayal in X-Men First Class was such an an insult to the character. She is so powerful and interesting as an individual. I hope they do it on this show, starting it by getting rid of that her original outfit, which they always make her appear with.
