Wonderful! It was great to see some of my favourites and to see some of your recommendations. Like you, I am a book collector and have way too many books, but I am always looking at the newest ones to come out. It s great to see recommendations from a designer I like.
Fun and very informative, I appreciate this video SO MUCH!
Thanks so much for making this video!! Off to Alibris I go to get new books
I hope you find some gems!
Thank you, this was interesting for me
I'm so glad!!
Thanks for recommending the Debbie Bliss book. I see it on Amazon. I will definitely get it.
I hope you enjoy it! It's a fantastic resource.
Oooh I’ve never been one to collect a lot of pattern books, but these all seem super helpful!
They're really great to have on hand!
Have you read Clara Parks and Elizabeth Zimmerman?
I haven't read any Clara Parks but I've been wanting to get her Book of Yarn! I do have a couple Elizabeth Zimmerman books and have found those to be great resources as well.
Thank you for the recommendations! What I am the most curious about though, is the sweater you are wearing! Can you point me to an episode where you talk out it? Thank you!
I'm wearing the Trompet Sweater! I chat about it in this video (27:46 minute mark): ruclips.net/video/g8dpQZzdGb8/видео.html
@ Thank you!
I’m so excited you got the CO BO book and have found value in it! I too love details and specifically still shot photography to follow along with and learn. That was another reason for me liking that book. So much great information, definitely going to check out some of these other options.
Yes! It's such a great little resource book to have on hand!
Thank you for making this video🤩 loved it!
I'm so glad!! Thanks!
The design books look potentially very helpful! I don’t even plan to design, but my row gauge especially requires modifying every garment. And I’m sort of figured it out but knowing more about grading, design, math stuff about gauge, etc is super helpful for me!
Oh good! Yeah I think these books are great resources for understanding fit and sizing, even if you never plan to use it beyond that.
It's amazing how much of a difference swapping out the storage cabinet made in your studio. I love how it turned out! Hmmm, I think it's time for me to downsize and organize my stash. Thanks for the inspiration.
It really does make such a huge difference!!
Your socks look amazing. I am going back to the 9" and give that size a try again.
Thanks Yessy! I hope those work out for you.🤞
What about the name Parquet Socks? Their design reminds me of parquet floors. 😊 Terry
I definitely see that! I decided to name them Tally Alley socks, though I totally get the parquet vibes!
Those socks 😍 so good!!! Do you have a release date in mind yet? I'm so excited for them!
Thank you!! They're in testing now and I'm hoping to release them at the end of the month!
Enjoying your videos as usually 🤍
Aww that's great! Thank you!
I don't know why, but the pattern on the socks keeps reminding me of tally marks. That, and matchsticks for some reason. And the new, rainbow ones look like boxes of crayons to me ;-)
This is so funny, I debated something with matchsticks, but ended up with the name Tally Alley! You have good instincts, I just finalized the name yesterday!!
@@meeshyfrazzknits That's so funny! Congratulations on finalising the name, it really suits the socks and it sounds fun.
I love your new sock pattern. Will definitely make them once u put a pattern out. How about Crossocks for your new pattern name?
Oh that's a great one! I just came up with a name yesterday!!
@ awesome! I can’t wait to hear it!
Oooohhh….I am loving the 2x2 sweater even more! I was excited when you showed it last time, but seeing how lovely it looks on you…,perfect. I do like the idea of a short sleeve as well, since I live in a warmer climate. Filming location looks great and lighting is just fine.
How about naming your sock something about “basketweave”.
I actually debated that! I just came up with a name yesterday!!
The socks really remind me of parquet floors. So maybe the Parquet Sock?
They really do, don't they!?
Oh, and I also really like the new filming location!
Thank you!!
Darned, missed the test knit call! But at least I am now signed up to your newsletter and will catch the test call for the broken rib sweater - which looks absolutely amazing! I am curious to see what you’ll do with the sleeves! I immediately thought of balloon ones! I really liked the sock in the ice blue/burgundy colorway! I did not notice the change in the pattern until you talked about it, so I think you did a good job with it! (I am really overusing the exclamation mark!)
Oh that's great to hear! Yeah I had to close the test quite early as it filled up super fast! I agree, the ice blue/purple socks are such a fun combination, I think I'll need to keep that version.
As soon as I saw your socks all I could think for a name is “candy crush” like the game.
Oh I totally see it!
OMG I am obsessed with that broken rib sweater!!! Cannot wait to make it!!! Wonder if a worsted weight of superwash wool/organic cotton would work out. Did you try Blue Sky Fibers Sweater yarn? It is literally called "sweater", ironic right? It is a beautiful yarn.
I know, it would be so nice! The only tricky thing is the gauge I got with Skyland is actually more of a sport weight, so I think worsted would be tough. I even did a swatch with the BSF Organic Cotton, which IS a sport weight, and that gauge was too large!
Hi, your craft room looks very nice and the light is great, but I very missed the cat alerts 🐈 🐈⬛
I totally get it! I'll probably switch back and forth depending on what I'm shooting and if I need the desk or not.
I really love that sock and sweater! Cant wait for those two to come out!
Thanks so much!!
My 3 year old upon seeing the broken rib sweater "Mom, you need that!" 😂. Maybe later kid, mom has a lot of WIPs right now. Beautiful pattern!
Haha omg that's adorable!
Love the new sweater design! The yarn room location looks great too!
Thank you!!
I love your socks, the faded pair look like liquorice allsorts 😊
I can totally see that!
Sock name: what about Four Layer Cake?
That's such a cute name idea!!
Name suggestions: Chisel, Etch, Imprint, Engraved, Inlay, Carve, Inscribe or Lithographic ❤ Good Luck on the naming journey. I love the studio. Beautiful set up
These are great names, thank you!!
I LOVE that sweater!!! I'd love to knit both a long and short sleeve version. I love the socks too but haven't gotten into sock knitting quite yet (LOL).
Haha totally fair! It's a rabbit hole for sure.
I think a cute sock name would be the library socks or something with books because they look a lot like books on a shelf to me.
Oh I love that!!
This might be way out there but as I was looking at your socks it reminded me of the pattern in little chunks of red and black licorice. Obviously different colors.
Oh how fun! I can definitely see that.
I love black licorice especially.
Thanks for the beautiful video. Love those socks! So clever! Floats: I don’t catch them. Never had a problem once I learned how to regulate tension ( I keep my yarn on separate hand and knit combination, and it works wonderfully! )♥️
Good to know! I really think this pattern doesn't need them.
The sock is gorgeous!
Thank you!!
I don’t know why... but the sock pattern is kinda reminding me of like, Archie Comics or something along those lines... not sure if that sparks any name suggestions from anyone 🤷🏼♀️
I never even thought of that! Thanks 😃
Loving the broken rib sweater❤
Thank you so much! I'm really thrilled with it.
Over under woven sock for a name !
That's a great name!
Really liked that ribbed sweater. Hope you do the twisted rib from under the arm on the sleeves as well. Also had fun spotting your feet and hands in the mirror behind you.
That's the plan! Just need to make sure everything works out ok with the numbers. Thanks!
I use two 9” circs for my toes and heels. Have you tried that method?
I've tried that before in a pinch! It's definitely a good option. Fortunately I don't have to use the DPNs for too long, I typically only switch to them once I have 10 sts per needle (over 4 needles).
@ just think of those knitting pioneers who only used dpns. They are the real heroes. 🤭
Hi - I like your new podcast filming location. Your socks and sweater are beautiful! Thanks for the fun podcast.
Thank you!! 🥰
The sweat is beautiful and I love your sock pattern and colors.
Thank you so much!
love the short sleeve idea and love the item. Also, how about "hatch chili socks". They are spicy!!
Oh I love that name!
I also love the broken rib sweater. And agree it would also look good as a short sleeve. Just wondering how it would do on a bigger bust. I’m in the middle of my first sweater and had to add bust darts. So am not experienced enough to know how that would work with the rib. I think overall the lighting is better in your new studio than your previous site. Even when the sun goes in. It mimics pro photo lighting more closely when it is coming from in front of you but somewhat indirectly. Hey to Bagel, Tuna and Boink!
I'm grading this to fit sizes from 30-62 in (75-155 cm) with adjustable compound raglans depending on the size so that the armhole depth ease amount stays consistent. I haven't added any other shaping to this, though, so I'm not sure how this would look with bust darts added in. I'm thinking if you continued your incs/decs at the raglan line (and then the side seam after armhole separation) it should work!
I'm loving the broken rib sweater even more the more I see. The side twisted rib is such a great detail. I'm thinking this would make a great dress too!
Ohhh that would be such a fun idea! Thanks!
I love your new studio! Way to go! 🎉
Thank you!!
I absolutely love the broken rib sweater. Nicely done. Your craft room as a filming location is great. The lighting was fine for me and the ambiance fits the podcast.
Thank you so much!!
The socks are stunning and the sweater looks so good on you!!!! ❤ love how unisex the sweater is - would love to make one for my husband some time in the future!
Thanks YeJi! I love the idea of this sweater being unisex; tbh I hadn't even thought of that!
