    I'm glad you're ripping out the Field Day Cardigan. I didn't comment because I'm generally not a fan of oversized knits but a lot of people like them. The yarn is BEAUTIFUL so I hope the end result will be a cardigan that you absolutely love wearing 🥰

    Oh I want to try the summer Prismatic!
    I am so jealous of your Esme yarn! I love that color, and one of our cats is named Esme.😊

    Thanks, Michelle, for showing us your summer knits. I was thinking about that beautiful green yarn that might want to be a tank top. A couple of months ago, I tested the Sunrise Top from Slow Knits by Elina. It has some beautiful details & I think you could get a really cute top with your yardage. I did mine in a gradient cotton & I absolutely love it.

    "I don't wanna buy anything. I don't want to buy more yarn, I don't need to buy more yarn. I have PLENTY of yarn" I should print that and hang it over my bed. 😂

    Another striped T to consider is the Rock It Tee by Tanis Lavallee. I just knit one in 3 colours to use up leftovers of cotton/linen blends from other summer knits 😊

    I love your prismatic summer sweater - I need to cast this on!! So glad you are making the cardigan in your preferred size, I think you’ll be so happy you changed the size and reknit it. Thanks for the video. Love your fur babies 🐈🐈

    That green yarn would be perfect for the Midsommarkrans - sleeveless top. The leaves would be so pretty in green. The pattern isn’t well written but if you read it all the way through and make notes it’s fine. Plus it’s free so that’s a plus. For mine I knit the back 2 sizes smaller than the front as the first time I knit it the back was massive and I think others had the same problem but that’s an easy modification and honestly something I think I am going to start doing for all patterns going forward. My front is so much curvier than my back 😂

    I knit the Dappled Lace Raglan by Jamies N Watts and I think you’d have enough yarn in your summer yarns. It’s a fun and pretty pattern.

    Have you thought about making another of your prismatic reflections (summer version) in that lovely green? Do it as a solid green (no marling, no stripes). I think the slip stitch pattern would be a nice subtle pattern on the solid color.

    • @meeshyfrazzknits
      @meeshyfrazzknits  Месяц назад

      That would be so pretty! Unfortunately I don't think I have enough yardage of the green (since I would need to hold it double) but that's something to think about when I'm ready to make a solid version for summer.

    Ohhhh the metallico in white, navy and pink would be so pretty!
    I’m curious since you mentioned Leslie, who else do you like to watch? (Fun video idea?)
    Sorry you are going to unravel but I do think it will be worth it.

    I love your prismatic summer top! It is on my list for sure! I just recently found your podcast and I have really been enjoying watching what you are making. I have an idea for that beautiful green yarn. I just finished the skyline tee by Tori Yu. I made the size 3 and it only used 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn. I made a small swatch and had just a little bit left over. It knit up very fast and I am in love with the fit. I am Valcoop on ravelry if you want to check it out. Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks so much, this is so good to know! I've actually had my eye on this top, so I'm glad to know 2 skeins would probably be enough.

    You should be able to knit the Sailor Swift Top by Veronika Lindbergh with any of your colors you have on hand.

    I also currently have a green top on the needles that is quietly whispering that it will end up unraveled. It seems to be due to the color.

      Thank you! I just updated the pattern on Ravelry & my website, so in addition to the Prismatic Reflection Sweater pattern, it also includes modifications on how to do the summer tee (as well as yardage estimates) 😊

      I'll have to do that soon! I'm knitting up the Timberline by Jared Flood. It's quite complex, and not my favorite project to work on, but the finished pattern is quite beautiful.

    Why don’t designers give the option of bottom up as well as top down. So many sweaters are now designed top down and for those of us who would rather knit the pattern from the bottom up have to rewrite the pattern in order to get something similar.

    • @meeshyfrazzknits
      @meeshyfrazzknits  Месяц назад

      Typically most knitters (not all, of course) prefer to knit a sweater top-down so they can try it on as they go. This is possible with bottom-up, but not quite as exact. On top of that, sometimes the stitch pattern needs to be knit in a certain direction, which means it can only be written that one way. Outside of that, for patterns that could work in either direction, having both options would essentially be two completely separate designs (different math and techniques needed for each option) so it's just far too much to put into one single pattern.

    Love your videos! Can I ask when you unravel your cardigan, do you wash the yarn so the yarn is not kinky or do you start knitting straight again? I never know what is the correct way! Your cats are so cute!🐈

    • @meeshyfrazzknits
      @meeshyfrazzknits  Месяц назад

      Usually I find that the yarn is ok as long as I didn't block the project. I unraveled this and the kinking was extremely minimal. If I had blocked it, I would probably soak the yarn and wind it, I've had wonky tension from that in the past.
