We went to a restaurant named La Shomon in Kobe and it was recommened by @MarkWiens and what an experience it was! I used to go to the one in Footscray. I think that's where Pho Hung Vuong started many years ago. Now my favourite pho place is Pho Kim Long in St Albans. This is the more traditional northern styled Pho which I like although I'm not from north Vietnam. You should try that one too.
I tried northern style when I was in Hanoi, extremely delicious, so many good places to check out in the West for Vietnamese food. I'll definitely give pho Kim long a go next time I'm in the West.

What do you like more, pho or curry laksa?
Can't go past a fish head Laksa. It really depends, pho I can eat everyday but laksa once a week is enough. I'll go with pho.
@LocalEaters Yeah, had the Fish head Laksa in Glen Waverley before. Massive serving and delicious broth. Unbeatable for me, but normally I get Fish fillet one.

Pho Hung Vuong has been around for 15-20yrs in Footscray.
Is that the original store?
It's the oldest Pho Hung Vuong I know of. It was also packed every day the first year it opened. Footscray is one of the best places to dig into Vietnamese cuisine unfortunately, business has been tough and there aren't many old restaurants left.
I'll have to go down there, heard many good things about Footscray. Shame about them closing.
Pho Hung Vuong have a second shop in Clayton.. with less queue and more spacious

@@LocalEaters Yeah, I would say its as good and more spacious : ) I used to go for Pho Hung Vuong in Springvale but for the pass 2 years had been going to Clayton for it. You should try out Warung Mummy (Malaysian cuisine) in Springvale, they had in my opinion best Spiced fried chicken nasi lemak in Melbourne. And I recommend Nasi Kandar Peneng in Springvale too, for their cheap Roti and Nasi Kandar. My go to places in Springvale ^^

Finally, my favourite pho joint.Just the soup alone is enough to blow you over.Their home made chillie oil is perfect for the pho.

If it needs sauce it's not a good pie. Makes me cry when I see people sauce a pie without even trying it first.
I'm always distracted by how good the pie is and I forget about the sauce. But you're right, the first lot of pies I was thinking about the sauce because after the first bite I knew the taste was missing something.
@@LocalEaters yeah, I know people who claim to LOVE pies but the I stant they get it they drown them in sauce. It's like getting a wagu steak and drowning it in sauce ahhhhh

Awesome to see good quality hipster contemporary cafe's opening up in outer suburbs of Melbounre like Ringwood (very rare to find). Will definetly visit and support smaller cafes in those areas. The Coffee and Ambiance seems very nice, but your critic and review of best furnished cafe in Melbourne? You lost points on the "most beautifully furnished cafes" heading alone. Looking from the videos, it sounds like you havn't been to many cafe's in Melbourne. There are many more nicer warehouse cafe's I've been too in Melbourne then SaaZaa, The over all Ambiance and coffee I'm sure is wonderful, no knock there, but best funished common?
