I have never been to wholesale tropicals before, I was going to go on Tuesday. Luckily I watched this as it would of been a wasted trip.

Did you ask the shop that is closing if they have a very large tank they could offer you cheap as chips, they might even take a payment plan, better than it going to waste or paying for storage

Put 2 or 3 PVC tubes at the back of the tank, that’ll really help with aggression, it’ll also give the other fish a break from the larger more aggressive eels

I have a similar problem with teriyorial issues with my ghost knife and elephant noes, the aggresor is the knife fish and i belive that it is because they bith use emp to hunt but after a while it has simmered down it was just the first few weeks that were bad

One thing to consider if you’re tight on cash is see if you can get things second hand. I have found aquariums that were half off full price. Same applies to filters and heaters. Obviously make sure they aren’t broken. This does require a lot of work and research and may require repairs but ultimately can be worth it.
