@@glex4112 Do they grow fast?? I’m hoping I can sort out a big enough aquarium by then. My current biggest is my Roma 240. If not I’ll be looking at rehoming him once he gets to a certain size, but I really hope it doesn’t come to that.
If your looking for rare cool fish you should try looking for an imperial flower head loach/tiger clown loach they got some nice size to them and are great eaters and nice to look at but they do hide a lot.
My bichir loves algea waffers. Might be worth a try if youre worried about yours getting enough food. Just wait til your bichir gets 9-10" its gonna stop being chill..
That ornate bichir is going to make snacks of the tankmates in no time. My ornate has grown from 5 inches to 20+ inches in the year I have owned him, also they are one of the most aggressive Bichir species. He is very aggressive towards my other Bichirs in the tank and is a fin biter. Just so everyone knows, at some point that fish is going to require a 180 gallon aquarium at a minimum to thrive!
@@robertdurham8940 Thank you for sharing your experience, I’ll definitely keep that in mind! I’m not planning to keep this one forever, just as long as I can. When he gets too big I’ll start looking to rehome him to a suitable sized tank!
@@moisesramos476 Mine eats retty much everything, he particularly likes the Hikari sinking carnivore pellets and raw shrimp. In regards of growth, Mine has doubled in size lol
@@Gamingspurs one of them passed but the other is doing okay. But they don’t seem to be as shrimp safe as I originally thought 😅 I’ll need to post an update soon about that
I love ornate bichirs, they're my first monster fish, i hope your ready when it gets 80cm

He looks great! How fast do you think he is going to grow or how long until he reaches 24’?
@@S1xroom thanks! And I honestly don’t know 😅 I’m hoping it’ll take a while. If I had to guess I’d say maybe 1-2 years?

What do you feed it? I have 2 that I bought at 2 inches. They are growing slow. 3.5 inches at 1 monthish

I know saddlebacks as the most aggressive and imo it's by alot too. Ornates are more alpha/leader than flat out aggressive
Hows that goby doing?
