Thinking Lake finally found someone to match his tempo with George…
Can everyone learn something here ? Yes v8 guy’s!Sir !
Just like pulling engineers from college! Some of them never drove a car, truck, tractor, lawnmower! But they try to design stuff! That’s where we see, this is the same problem we had 40yrs ago! WTF are they doing? They never seem to go back & look at the history 🙄🙄🙄🙄! George Bryce is an encyclopedia of race knowledge! I’m surprised that no one has snatched him up! Even though is retired!
Great video guys, thank you. Dale Walker
Jon myers was a Super nice guy that i knew from racing at Orlando Speed World in the 80s.He helped me with some "different " machine work on my Suzuki. Good times remembering him with his wife and daughter at the track back then. Thanks.
George is a Tennessee boy now.. Great to have him here and sharing all the knowledge he has.
Years ago, I worked on a project with George and S&S for Wyotech. George is a character! He's the easy going kind of guy you could talk to for hours.
Appreciate 🌎 your Experience Thank you * life l0ng Dedication Two wheel Engineering. Hands 0n. Onehundreadpersent legendary
Make some cast iron, street performance FE heads!
I have been researching lobe separation for many years & have found that anything over 112° is recommended for high compression or boost applications & have have seen dyno results proving it, regardless of engine make. Sure you can make a few more hp at the top end, but thats not the whole picture. The top end gain comes at a loss of torque accross the board. There are companies that have been in buisness much, much longer than this recent pop-up that magically became an overnight success. Trucks are a pupular here. Just ask yourself if your truck is a strip car or a torque machine?
When will brian tooley make lifters or do they just recomend johnson hydraulic lifters as good enough for builds
what is nhra plan now that camaro and challenger are gone? feel for factory x guys that spent $$$ on cars that are literally x factory made. im guessing Mopar be gone soon too Stelantis is dying.
met Mark back in dart days troy Mi 90s . Super nice guys awesome equipment but driving was always late. He left as Butner and Maskin werent on same page.... in came yates and titles followed. Richard Maskin was a real legend in engine building and business
Here's a hidden horsepower(s) for you, a certain popular pro stock driver, might be a fem, might be a male, injected frontloaded micro amounts of nitro into their 'hidden' horsepower machine, which we later learned could not be detected by NHRA teardown officials . How's that? Didn't hear anyone mention that on the podcast.
11 minutes in and I’m hooked!
I would say that the rule book was changed because of WJ The 4.900 bore spacing was one There was no bore spacing rule in the 80s
If he says “ yup, ya know” one more time😂😂😂
I know Jay! raced with him for a few years. Nice guy.
Mike came up to me at the US Nationals and introduced himself because we had a competition engineering sticker on our car. Told me how he started the company. Really nice guy.
Mark Pawuk ? He has a very wealthy dad to finance his racing
nothing wrong with working hard to make awesome living and spend it on drag racing... Jenkins was bank rolled by manufactures as was WJ, Sox Martin.....list goes on and on....
Jason, I am a lifetime FE guy and Bill Fiest and his Mustang is a really great. The bump in class is unbelievable. I am old and not rich enough. But I love that old stuff. That car 45 years and still going strong.,FE stuff is dropping like flies as castings go. It’s definitely disappointing.,
The FE they do for Wild Bill Fiests Mustang was 8100 through the lights. Amazing for 1950s Boat Anchor that was amazing. Revan Evan does a piece on it and it’s astounding!
Thank you for your knowledge and videos USA TRUMP
I'm thoroughly enjoying my BTR stage 3 in my Silverado. Installing that cam taught me the world of LS engines and how to tune my truck. I haven't been the same ever since because of Mr Tooley. I'm learning everything I can to become a better tuner and maybe run with it one day
I put all btr in dod deletes and my own stuff to
Trickflow let down all their sbf customers with their absolute failure of keeping the trickflow box intake on the market. Hey like to blame their third party casting companies instead of doing it themselves and the greedy pigs keep raising their prices. I won’t buy another trickflow product again with how they hate their customers
Mike Valerio is a pioneer icon in racing and still going strong. He has more knowledge and talent than anyone I know. He has advanced the sport in so many ways for years and continues to give 100% back to the sport he loves. Nothing but respect for this man!
Jenkins lost a Vega , to the tank , somewhere in Ohio . It didn't have any holes but it was toooo fragile to work on . I don't actually remember how much of this information is first hand .
Allright , Tom Pohorilla from SRD , helped my memory . There was a Vega body that set out back of SRD for quite awhile ; however it had some damage but had never been acid dipped . So , all the rest of this info I have was told to me by my co workers at Jenkins Competition , or Derrick , Steve , or Pete from next door at SRD . It probably was one or more and maybe even Bill himself I just can't remember who .
Lack of Speed Jr. LMAO
Well said about Bonneville. I’ve been running out there since 2011. My 122 cubic inch VW Passat set the G/BGC record this year at 244.819 mph.
Gpi is the king company of camshafts
This is a great way to keep updated on new technology 😊
Been saying since the Pro Stock EFI mandate , that the runners , plenum , And deck height / rod ratio , had to be completely re-sorted ,,, .
What was the date of this interview? It’s confusing, for not knowing the time frame for the progression of projects like Ben’s EFIU’s “Spinal Tap”, etc.
Don Ott, didn`t he have a machine in San Diego? I seem to remember taking my crankshaft to him in SoCal. circa 1972
Quack
I think Mr. Johnson has had it with nhra
I tuned in to see some sprint car engine stuff and seen almost nothing…? Kind of click bait…! 🤷🏻♂️😷
Thank you guys once again for another great interview! I met Adam many moons ago, as a few family members are dirt racers. I hear updates once or twice a year and share in " pats on the back " to him for being one of the good young engine builders who support our racing endeavors! To add to the discussion on rings, seal, and piston rock... for the last two months we are running a combo of improvements in those combined areas on a couple of 410's, a 441sbc n/a, and three turbo engines ie: 4000hp+... ALL with a PVD coating we are developing, a new " barrel " boring CNC we built, which actually minimizes " rock " ( clearance is very small ), with one oil... and so far, for instance... the 410... gained 27hp... and 15° cooler on a 9600rpm run. The other engines scaled another 8 to 17% increase also... and we are pushing it as far as possible. We all didn't believe the spintron results 6 months ago... now we all believe... lol. Thank you guys for this platform, as we all enjoy it in the shop and lab! Respectfully, Seth
Great episode, be great to see a little of the Engines, cranks, heads, what ever we get without letting to many secrets out of the bag... plus more of the shop in action...
Congratulations Adam, we knew that you were going places back in the urss days.
Thinking the one thing y’all missing, and maybe most of y’all’s guest’s, don’t realize about themselves, ‘ cept probably Kassse and WJ, is they’ve arrived at a method of thinking, that’s got them recognized, for their innovations. It ain’t all about, “yachts and helicopters”…
He's far off the mark on cams. He doesn't even provide true specs on his cams. He doesn't know shirt about lsa.
Good man, Mr. Morel. 👏
That was a Runt Pittman motor in the kodak car, he`s one of my favortie guys.
This is a great show, with guests teaching us, on otherwise unavailable information. Thankfully Lake Speed Jr., wasn't there with his constant interruption of guests, that are there to tell us THEIR story. I'm sure Jr. is knowledgeable, but his constant animated interruptions are a pain in the seat.
Have had two Morel 5323 lifters fail. First one was bad from start up. Broke my pushrod guide plate, bent the pushrod and nicked my Harland Sharp roller lifter, had to be rebuilt by Harland Sharp. This hapened with less than 50 miles on professionally built motor. My engine builder replaced the parts for free luckily. The second one just collapsed with less than 1000 miles on it. It's always someone else fault when the Morels fail never their fault.
He is one smart man
Ed’s a good dude; his company has been a customer of mine for years.
What does he mean about the block with a raised cam? Logic behind it is?
