We just saw her in Seattle at Benaroya Hall for a very pleasant afternoon concert. She played this song, 4 Mazurkas, Scherzo No. 3 and Liszt Sonata in B minor. I enjoyed every minute of it. She is an accomplished, stellar pianist.

Al secondo si ha la conferma che Yulianna procede con enorme coerenza nel suo percorso artistico; solo attraverso la maturità interpretativa che questa artista ha raggiunto, la resa piena di queste opere del tardo Chopin può essere espressa, e lei ci riesce in pieno, con la consueta passione e intima conoscenza di questo autore. Yulianna è a mio avviso la più seria interprete di Chopin sulla scena internazionale, la sua innata raffinatezza e sobrietà le sono di grande aiuto nel raggiungere vette sempre più alte. Grazie per questo immenso lavoro, Yulianna.

Really incredible precision and expressiveness in the ornaments and fast passagework…Completely free of the bombast of Horowitz & Rubinstein performances and recordings. Thrilling in a luminous, visionary way that is continuously poetic - classic Avdeeva!
