Hi mate, a lot of the rechargeable torches use a 18650 battery or similar and its easy enough to take a spare, assuming you can access it of course. Cheers for the vid, I'd seen those Lil Larry type ones somewhere and had a burl round B&M etc looking for them so thanks for the pointer to Asda.
Thank you for thinking of us and doing this. Much appreciated.
Excellent, thanks for the review. Love the relaxed style, very natural.
I want to know what that jacket is! Great content dudes
Canny grumble for a £ fiver 👍🏻🏴
Agree about the rechargeable batteries, looks like a good find
You can't complain for £5 I work for asda so I get 10% discount so it's a win win atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
What’s the outfit your wearing. Need to get myself a few bits !
interesting approach, some people are being negative here. If it has worked for him why not, many ways to make your coffee, no?
Great improvements on the knife! But the star of the show was that piece of pine - it would not give up!
That is a handy tip! Smart. Thanks for sharing that.
Good way to pack them, I use pouches but this might be a little better method-I’ll give it a try this week thanks for sharing!
Very good tip, thank you 👍
Ya dancer👌😎 Classy idea bro. KTF🙏
You never carry your spare batteries on the band of your headlamp head If you were ever in the military That means you would have been hiking through brush and any branch could easily rip those batteries loose, and they would be lost forever, and then you would be in trouble when your batteries died in your headlamp Anybody who was ever in the military would carry them in a secure pocket where they can easily be retrieved when needed
Why do you make that assumption. In my 10 years active service I was rarely ‘coming through brush’ most of the time I was in open ground, urban environments and ‘loosely termed desert’. Hitting my head on anything beyond my own stupidity was pretty unlikely. My only observation is that not once did I ever possess a head torch. 🤷♂️ wouldn’t work with my skid lid
what a stupid comment.
Thats an oppinion, as Outdoor Basics has been in the military , and this is how he carries his batteries, that implies you can
Cool story expert 👍
If you're wearing a headtorch on patrol you wouldn't last long you nutjob.
Hi. great idea thanks for sharing! Stay safe. ATB. Nigel
Excellent. Thanks for sharing.
They are good boots, but they don't do a wide fit in this model.
Great review thanks! Did you go large regular or large long? Fits nicely what size you are? Me myself am a little baggier on midwaist 😂
These look great. Thanks for the recommendation. Ive ordered a full set 👍
Good vid. How do you keep your cook kit from getting your other kid manky
Hi mate im thinking of buying one of these OR a snugpak rocketpak. Do the pouches on the back of the matilda not drag your back, pull your back down? cheers I hope your lad is still venturing out with you.
Down to what temperature are they still warm and comfy?
Great video. Would have been so easy to rubbish a cheap kit. Good example of skill overcoming a lack of resource. Thank you Sir, keep them coming.
Aup, buddy, brilliant video and review as usual really enjoyed it. I'll most definitely be getting some of those . Take of your self buddy 👍
great review of a awesome product
6 buck from tamu
I'd like to grab one of these... Seems like a worry free addition to my k bar...can you share a link??
Layering up and layering down is so important. Are those zip pods waterproof? Nate
I found this video interesting. I have one that I purchased for $6.50 It has the same items in it, except for an additional item which is a small mini folding multi tool, and is of decent durable quality, surprisingly. I was asked if it could really be used for survival. This video proves that it can be useful. It should be considered as an addition to your main survival belt bag. Back in the day the tin we used was a Band-Aid box. A person can make a good mini survival kit from various things always modifying to customize your survival kit for your specific area. Rail Freight Survival Kit is a good design.
Nice one.its amazing how many of those old skills we got taught when we were younger we still use to this day..
Brilliant idea mate! What size are each of those panels? Want to get it right before I start folding it.
In Poland we calla it "na cebulkę" - translating, like an onion layers. Prepare for the worse.. but enjoy the best! Cheers!! Excellent video's!! PS last week we've had -3 Celsius degrees over night under polish lavvu ..in the desert 😅 keep filming!! Have a great weekend 😎 🏴🇵🇱
good review, is the size 2 a 2 man? look forward to seeing setup with 3 sticks for max space inside
Nice day for it mate 👍🏻🏴
Class as always lads
Nice...Stevie is a legend first sure, rough timba does a lavvuu pole connector.
Chinese knives are underrated, in my opinion. Some are complete pants, but so are others around the world 🌎. I've been happy with my few purchases so far. God bless you and your family and happy camping 🏕 😀 😊 😄 🙏. Lee
I've already had the Matilda for a couple of years now but I watched this video regardless, and I tell you that command/admin pouch on the very top of the main compartment is a brilliant idea that I'm going to steal, thanks!
can you remove the black velcor on the chest?
I firstly bought a Gerber Strong arm recently 2024 @£100... It's a fantastic knife ... I was pondering trying some throwing with it... Then started watching these reviews on the AliEx versions and just decided to try one for throwing and paid £6.84. to be honest if it indeed arrives ... For that price I can throw it and being close weight n shape of my main Gerber it's cheap practice... Can't go wrong tbh ... Good review
Looks nice. Lavuus are pretty good and "bombproof" Nate
Great channel mate, just got myself a British army basha, which I will show on my next video. Just subscribed from a fellow RUclipsr 😉👍
Looks decent mate
Treepee for the central point
ruclips.net/video/jaTugjv1ouU/видео.html for the Rough Timba tripod mate.
Av always liked these things 💯persent get a wood stove hope you put some footage of you camping in it mate 👍🏻🏴
awesome
Plenty of folks seem to have a lead on the tripod top here already. Pretty sure TA Outdoors has a video on it? What is that smock you’re wearing, please?
