I've had mine around 4 years of so. Brilliant. Removed all the velco as i don't display badges. Took the sleeve pockets off as i considered them too big and re attached behind the lower pockets. Sewed in Para cuffs makes the sleeves better. Sewed down the ends of every draw cord as i dislike them but may want the cordage later. Bought a bigger size so it comes down further and i get a snugpak under if needed. Probably the best single item of kit i bought. Can be reasonably waterproofed with fabsil or other tent type spray sealents

I bought 3 off of TEMU .The quality of the knife is not bad,the sheaths are not as good quality as the gerber, but considering that I am not going to be using them as pry bars and not throwing them at trees … they are good quality knives for what knives are supposed to be. Besides I only have about $38.00 total in 3 knives I can break all 3 buy 3 more and still not have the cost of a single Gerber. Please don’t get be wrong,If I were going to war I would buy the real thing! But for every day use around the house and farm these will last longer than I’ll be around. If SHTF happens I have a few OKC knives that I will trust my life too.

In the UK you’d be better off carrying a small battery pack to back up your phone battery. Then just dial 999 and get the Mountain Rescue and police to come and get you! There are very few places that wouldn’t work and help would be with you long before you got a fire going and built a shelter.

I fuckin' love the fact that you mentioned America and immediately pointed out the cheap crap we get here lmaooo. Facts. People here always saying that other places have cheap made stuff but America's quality of stuff predominantly isn't so great unless you manage to get your hands on handmade goods or goods from small businesses. Walmart and many megacorp shopping places mass produce low quality items here. You got a new subscriber for that one xD great video.

Only a suburban nloke, but I am sad enough to have thermal blankets in my rucksack and "fishing" vest as well as a selection of torches both battery and windup and a small imitation swiss army knife and folding pliers. The bow saw was very interesting to see.

  • @blackboardbloke

I got a BCB survival tin in a tobacco tin in the 90s. water purifying tabs, plastic bag to carry water, safety pins, needle & thread with a few buttons, fishing hooks and line, button compass, snaring wire, heliograph for signalling, first aid dressings/plasters, wire saw and that has a fire steel, but its scraper was just a cut off end of a hacksaw blade tied on via its hole to the fs… then you’ve got a small saw to cut metal plus an effective spark scraper. This was/still is an SAS inspired item that SAS vet, Lofty Wiseman wrote about in his survival (R.I.P.) book. An old large tobacco tin (gives a bit more room but still pocket sized) and you can make your own up as well to your preference.
