I've been using helikon SFU trousers for around 10 years and can attest to the quality. I've got tons of their kit, Gunfighter jackets, Pilgrim smocks, Patriot fleeces all great kit. These look ideal for Summer when you might not want your smock on but still want the kit on your body. You really deserve more views just for the quality of your instruction and the impartiality of your reviews. 🏴
These look like an upgraded version of Direct Action's (Helikon's "Duty Grade" copmany) Vanguard trousers, which are solid. As someone who has both the Vanguards (assuming these are "just as good"), Vida Pro and Keb trousers, I can say nothing Helikon/DirectAction has made holds a candle to Fjallraven's G1000 material in terms of durability and weather resistance (after waxing). However, I think for most people, unless you're hiking over hills covered in briars on a regular basis, the double or tripple price increase from Helikon to Fjallraven, and sacrificing some pockets, probably isn't worth it and these are going to be "good enough" for most people. Definitely going to grab a pair of these to compare, and maybe replace my Vanguards for airsoft and competition shooting.
I have their MBDU pants in pencott wildwood. Love the pants but one issue I have with them are the front pockets which are very tight and not comfortable for my hands and things like my phone which kind of makes them unusable. I might be mistaken but watching you put your hands in the pockets in this video they look very similar in shape and size. Can you confirm this as these pants otherwise look fantastic ! Great video !
i goth those pants too in ral7013 i can confirm it with the front pockets, but just put your phone in the knife pocket works really well exept in rain perfect pants!
I have a lot of their gear, but no pants. I live in Hawaii and need something best for warm weather, but love all the pockets of pants like these. I have some uf pro pants, I wore and tested them extensively living in Thailand for two years, they are amazing, but they are just too hot and they are really baggy, take up a lot of space and weight while traveling or long backpacking adventures. Better for cooler climates. Are these specific pants or any of the other Helikon-Tex pants best suited for tropics? I need something lightweight, stretchy, and breatheable. A thousand thanks. Great review.
The Trekking or Outdoor tactical pants from Helikon might be a good option. Super stretchy and lightweight, have worked great for me in hot/humid weather. And if they get wet they dry super fast. Been using the Trekkin model myself for ipsc competition. Since I dont need the extra pockets that the outdoor version has.
Looks good thanks for the review. Trying to find a new pair to retire my Outdoor Tactical pair, Ive had probably 6+ pairs of those over the years, lasting about a year because the side zips go which I need to secure phone on construction site. I love the stretch fabric so need to find somthing close to that and I see these have that in the key areas.
Great vid as always mate a few questions how do you find the fit of these I have thick legs so I always find trousers are too tight there so I have to go a size sometime 2 up but that has its own issues and helikon can be hit and miss for me on sizing the pilgrims are ok but the mcu ones just didn’t work
Thank you very much. I received the ral 7013 and now I am waiting for the black. Superb no heel, no flaws, as always with Helikon Tex. Very good video.
I have read a comment in which someone wrote that they're supposed to be water repellent.. but I can't find any information about that on any website..

I've got the Matilda. Great pack. I bought the foxtrot buttbag too. Works seamlessly with it.
I had watched that video before but haven’t pay enough attention. Those trousers are very interesting. Thanks for a great review.
Excellent video guys. Looks like solid pants. I got a few bits of Helikon-Tex as well and their great.
