I have 2 pairs of these, and since I got my first pair last year, I've totally dropped wearing jeans and sold my Fjallraven pants. If I'm not in shorts I'm in these, whether it's in town or up a hill in all weathers. They're comfortable, brilliantly laid out and bombproof. I'm also got a Woodsman Anorak and Woodsman shirt, for the money, not found anything that beats Helikon for what I need
Hi Samuel. Sounds like a Helikon Tex convert 😄 I'm a all year round shorts guy too and whist they did a shorts version of these wit this layout of pockets. There's some great people at Helikon working on some amazing products for sure. Thanks for watching fella
I really like it - it has this nice retro touch but has a very modern fit - it is roomy and allows movement without being "saggy" - it is still useable for wearing casually
These are nice. I really love it when a company puts a thought into the design and the practicality of their clothing. Thanks for reviewing it. Super cool hat, by the way!
Thanks fella. 100% agree. I read on the Helikon-Tex facebook group that there's a single fella who designs all of the gear. I'm not sure how true it is, however I'd love to be a fly on the wall during his yearly one 2 one/wage review. Him "....." , Helikon-Tex directors "Ok fine, we'll continue giving you blank cheques each months... just pleeeeeeeease don't leave us" 😆
Hi Mike. I think whenever I'm making this type of content it's best out there. I also feel a lot more relaxed in the Moorlands. I wish I could get power out there and a decent WiFi signal. I'd be there full time
First off I love the design of these pants, but after a year of use Ive decided to swap the velcro closure for a button. To be fair I remove 90% of velcro off all my clothing and rucksacks. I only keep it on sleeve and pant cuffs, and strap keepers. Anywhere else has to go.
That's a fair comment. I have a seamstress friend who's doctored a few pants for me and added buttons. Easy and cheap. There's plenty of material to make it work with two buttons. Definitely a worthwhile alteration if and easily done. Thanks for watching
Superb overview thanks so much. No questions I had left unanswered. Cheers mate. Pulling the trigger on a pair very soon. Ps great to see the little fist aid pouch popping up. Glad it fits your needs. Cheers Pete. (Secondintime)
Ok, so I’m 5’8, 220, 34/36 waist, to me the anorak in a Large, looks like you can’t fit anything thicker than the tee shirt you have on. Most times I’m very comfortable in my XL, sometimes XXL, and Helikon runs small. I am a 46 chest, and the Fjallraven anorak did fit comfortably in an XL, but they run pretty true to size
The velcro closure puts me off them completely, a button would be great. No reflection on your excellent video presentation, thanks for sharing the information.
I was speaking with a friend who is a seamstress. She said you would take it an decent seamstress to add a button and whole. The hook & loop panels are stitched on to the closure so can be picked off and removed with ease. Food for thought 👍
After owning a pair for over a year, the velcro is no go for me too. If the design wasn't so amazing I'd have donated them. I'm planning to take them to a tailor and have them add a slotted button instead.
You mentioned that these pants would be suitable for winter time as well. Could you please elaborate what would be the temperature range for these pants in °C? Could you also please estimate how low these would go, when combined with warm long johns (for example Helikon-tex underwear set LVL2)? Or will it be too tight together with those? Great video, thanks!
Hi, hope you're well. The lowest 8ve been with these is about -5c. I haven't tried them with long John's. They definitely have room for them. They have been fine through snow. The Duracanvas is great at keeping the wet out and heat in. They're quite high waisted. If you wear suspenders with them they're brilliant. I hope that helps my friend 🤙
Hi, sorry I missed you message the jacket is the Pilgrim jacket that matches these pants. These are great for summer or definitely try the Helikon Outdoor pants. They use the versa stretch and they're like a second skin and really cooling. I hopefully should have some content out this weekend on the Helikon Outdoor Shorts this weekend
Hi Roman. Thank you for the kind feedback my friend. I can imagine trying to find pants that fit must be a real chore. With the general population getting talker over the years you'd have thought companies would take that into account. All the best
Hi. Helikon-Tex Urban tactical pants or Helikon-Tex Pilgrim pants? Which is better quality. Which is more durable. Which material has a better composition. Which is more colorfast? Thank you.
JOE! Epic question. My main question would be how you'd use them? They're both amazing quality as we expect from Helikon-Tex. Durability wise the tactical pants take it. The ripstop plent is very tough. Dura canvas is strong too and has more give in it when you're bending and squatting. The pockets and layout of the Pilgrim Pants are really nice and very practical whilst out in the woods, whereas the tactical pants feel better for day to day use. I've had the tactical pants longer and the colour still looks bright. Having been washed several time after being really dirty, they have faded, but hardly noticeable. It's like 90% they original colour. They're both amazing pants however for everyday use the UTPs have it... Randomly I had them on today 😂 the Urban Tactical Shorts are my go to shorts too. Hope that helps Joe. Bloody love this question by the way. I can talk all day about this sort of stuff 🤜🤛
@@MoorlanderEDC Thanks. I really like tactical and military pants. Material composition, sewing, service life, appearance, design. Thanks for the reply.
I've have a talk with a friends who's a seamstress and she said it's super easy to talk off the hook & loop and add in a couple of buttons. Relatively easy and wouldn't cost much either. Hope that helps buddy
I hate the Velcro waist closure. It’s torn up the inside of my belt. I’d also like the belt loops to take a wider belt, apart from that they are great.
I have some content landing today that might interest you then. The Pentagon Wolf Pants have a traditional waist closure and it's way better... Also perfectly timed too

Part one, part two...let´s call it the lower part 😉
Nice trousers and a good video!
Ha ha ha... make total sense 😆
Got whole set on black friday sales, €80 for anorak & €60 for pants. What a great deal! 👍🏻
That's an epic deal. Bravo Sir, Bravo 🤜🤛

Hey Pete, how's it going buddy? Thank you, I'm glad it helped. The med pouch is a winner and come everywhere with me. 🤜🤛 All the best
Great review! Might well pick up a pair of the trousers to go with the anorak.

Nice review and seems like a great pants! But unfortunately not for me - being 197 cm tall, I choose UTP FLEX pants in ExtaLong :)

@@MoorlanderEDC What about the Helikon Tex Outback Hybrid pants?
Are these pants comfortable to sit in the car? I mean, don't the pockets get in the way along with the side support of the seat?
Hi, sorry about the delay getting back to you. Yes, they're very comfortable to drive in
Would luv to know how to procure this product 🤔👍
I got mine from Military 1st. Super easy to Google or check the link in my description. Hope that helps
They should have added a button

Are these pants good for winter?
Yes, definitely. Reasonably warm and can be born over long John's if needed. They dry season ably fast too if they get wet

Thanks for the comment Thiago
