A weekend of riding in Seoul. In light of the ongoing genocide, the Gaza Sunbirds para-cycling team has reverted all its resources to providing community-led aid to Gaza. To date, their athletes and staff have distributed over $45,000 USD worth of aid. www.gazasunbirds.org/cycling Donate: www.justgiving.com/page/savegaza Some notes I found useful from my sister-in-law on what to consider when d...

Bikepacking Korea’s east coast
Просмотров 21 тыс.2 месяца назад
A bicycle adventure to the east coast of Korea. A luxurious bus ride (isn’t that an oxymoron?) with my bike in the luggage compartment. A beautiful pine forest lined beach with a clean bowl club of Makguksu. The much anticipated Rivendell Atlantis bike check! I forgot to mention the Nitto Big Back Rack and the Nitto Front S Racks. Some amazing bikes lanes along the coast before I headed inland ...

So peaceful, so tranquil. Being in the moment, now is now.
Thank you!
Your content is addicting keep it up
Thanks, will do!
you make me want to live a happy life
I hope you do
Awesome 😊
Thanks 🤗
Your videos make me feel relaxed, peaceful and energised to simply ride my bikes (for the simple pleasure of riding) recently bought an old Dutch gazelle bike (totally different from the performance/ carbon fibre / faster / further culture I’ve fallen into over the years) thankyou
Thank you!
Love your videos so much - You have inspired me to get into bikes, and I'm starting a project this summer to build up my own bike around an old MTB-frame. Getting some nice swept-back bars and friction shifters, trying to get as close to the "rivendell" feel I can get, until I can save up to buy a real one! BTW What do you use to film your rides with?
Sounds like it’ll be a fun bike! I used an iPhone and insta360 go 3 www.insta360.com/sal/go-3?INRL3L3
Do you find the need to lock your bike in Korea? Here in the US if I leave my bike without a lock for 1 minute it is guaranteed to get stolen 😥
I always lock but it’s so much safer here than back home in the uk.
Hiya mate, how long is your commute?
20 minutes if I take the shortest route.
😊👍👍👍
👍🏻
I live in Manchester. I find it to be the most challenging city to commute on bike too. The north of Manchester where im from is constant climbs and hills. Good for a well geared bike not for a fixie or single speed.
I went to uni and Manchester. Not the best place for riding, but I still did. Seoul is much hillier but I actually like cycling up hills now.
Fantastic
Thanks
My God that is the cutest bike I've seen especially that little frame bag I wanna hug it! 🥰🥰
It really is!
Patially agree: For me it may not be the best part of my day, but it's always in my top 3-5, depending on what else I did that day. I currently do 42km XC rides, for enjoyment and exercise, on a repurposed abandoned traintrack, called The NE Tassie Railtrail. My rig is an old Avanti 26" HT built from two bikes from the tip ($5 each) + new and quality 2nd hand parts, the bike cost me under $150 AU. In the warmer seasons I do predawn rides, dawn by the time I return to the car ( 3.5hr ride). Riding past paddymelons (small wallabies...who have a habit of being spooked, run out of the bush across the track right in front of me), possums, rabbits, wild pidgeons and a few tiny bats in the few ravines cut out for the trains long gone. In the winter, zero degree and under due to windchill, I tend to start around 7-8am. It's still often zero, but the fingers aren't in pain (the only body part that suffers). And sometimes, with intermittent spitting or it's heavily overcast, itching for a ride, I'll chance it and do shorter rides. This morning I did 21 kms. And it began to rain 5 minutes after I got back in the car. So even though it's slightly disappointing to miss out on a 3hr ride, the short run was the right choice. Didn't get wet. Had more energy to push hard on the return, and had a fun ride. Don't mind getting drenched on the return run in warm weather, but not in winter. With that, I agree with you, any ride is a good ride.
Top 5 isn’t bad
@@probablyriding I think so. Often it's the best, but I can't discount a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs ( fried in pure butter and himalayan salt) bacon, fried tomatoes, onion and shrooms (in butter)...or completing a huge or small job around the shack. One of my favs this year was straightening the old dried out wooden mower shed that houses two of my bikes. Two huge truck straps, wall studs from the tip for angle bracing and steel cable + D bolts for one corner that couldn't be fully aligned. The shed was leaning 10 degrees. Took me two days, but it's now straight and won't fall over for years to come.
Congratulations on 120 days of being sober. I have been sober for 2 years and 2 months. The best choice I have ever made. Keep doing what you love and enjoy. 🍜 ☕️ 🚲
Cheers ☕️
You're such a chill dude, I love your videos. I was thinking about your channel today while riding my bike and overthinking. It helped with just enjoying the moment :)
I appreciate that!
Now let's aim for a sugar and caffeine free life
I’ll keep the caffeine.
I absolutely love your videos, thank you so much for making them. Your videos always remind me about the joy of biking and exploring ❤️
Glad you like them! Thank you.
Cool content. I love your bikes and I'm a fellow coffeeholic with too many bikes (six and counting 😂)
Nice!
Finally, another "Probably".....
There are probably more
I got sideswiped by an SUV last month and broke my collarbone. Three weeks after surgery and I'm going bonkers just sitting around. So I fxed the bike yesterday and took a spin around the neighborhood. It was great! Blue skies, almost no wind, warm but not too hot. Perfect!
Hope you fully recover for more rides soon.
Lovely bike. I am also an Arsenal supporter!!!
Up the Arsenal!
Superb. Blessed by the algorithm for a change.
Great to hear!
@@probablyriding Yes a lot of people say it doesn't work. The only cycling vids I watch now and again is Brian Safah. So it is interesting why yours popped up. ATB
how about during winter when it snows??
Depends on the level of snow. I still do in -10c here in Seoul.
Ive been biking for almost 4 years to work and I love it. My coworkers make fun of me but i'm not in any debt or anything. I'm in my 30s and its sweet to enjoy the weather and jam to some music while cruising 30 minutes to work. Love the content dude 😄✌
That’s so weird that people make fun of you for that. Lucky for me, my coworkers are impressed that I ride to work every day! Keep on riding and enjoying it.
@@probablyriding thanks and I will definitely keep riding. 👍🏽
Please tell me what those rainbow straps were

Your channel is like bicycle meditations for the soul, Thank you for creating and sharing!!1 Ride on
Wow, thank you!
Thanks for sharing. In my neighbourhood, it was the same case. And I felt sad when everything was destroyed. I feel like nobody really care about documenting the neighbour before destroying it. And your video is like a testimony of a time.
Thank you. Life moves on but it’s good to reminisce.
Dont have any time right now, but Im going on a bike ride anyways 🤝
Have fun!
Just bought a bike today. Was so inspired by your videos. What camera do you use to film while riding? and do you use a chest mount?
Thanks! I use this with the magnetic necklace www.insta360.com/sal/go-3?INRL3L3
Hmmm, I say the Moka pot is king 😎
Big fan of Moka but I don't think it's the best!

I love biking but I love it more in a different taste when I saw your video.
Happy to hear that!
Big respect for your thoughts of whats going on at gaza… such a ridiculous that the whole world cant stop the genocide
Thank you
with roads like that anyone wud want to ride acycle , I ride a cycle on potholed Indian roads with aqi of 300
Brave to ride in India, although I’d like to try it.
Great to hear the word plethora on RUclips plus also good to see it related to bike lanes. Nice that you had a pause between phase one and the tension part. Free Palestine! ✊
Thank you!
Looks magical in the park and the coffee shops
Yeah! I really like watching this video back.
What a clean ride. Didn't know Jeffrey was selling builds other than Wilde since starting that brand. More proof his love for bikes is true and a huge reason why I picked one up.
Yeah. Check out bike jerks and bike jerks yard sale on instagram
I'm never going to do this but I watched till the end like I was. I love your videos. ❤
Thank you!
that area seems so spooky

Was that a loved one with you on the train in the last part of the video 😄 P.s your narration was nicer than the song at the end
Just another cyclist.
I watched this video, then I took my bike out for a quick ride. No coffee or noodles unfortunately, but I did meet some friends out for a walk.
Perfect 👌
Hey, just wanted to say that I absolutely love your videos. You've inspired me to commute to my university by bike and it often really is the best part of my day. Even now when I'm during my exam period I try to ride my bike as much as I can. Thanks, cheers from Poland!
That is awesome!
Surprising your bike doesn't have a dyanamo hub, how do you night commute? Especially thoes narrow streets you pass by
I have a light with a battery.
Lovely video's but you beter call the channel “probably eating” 😊
Always digesting
Powerful reminder with the watermelon purchase 👍
